Chapter 87 - Chapter 87: Su Wan, Ah, She Had Long Prepared Evidence for Revenge

Su Ning'an said sharply, "When Sister was here, you didn't cherish her properly. Now that something has happened to her, and there's still no conclusion, who are you putting on this life-and-death act for?"

Hearing her words, I sneered coldly. If I hadn't been watching this drama from a god's perspective for so long, I might have really thought she was a good person.

Su Ning'an's acting skills had reached a masterful level. Clearly, she was the chief culprit who caused my death.

Yet she shifted all the blame onto Lu Shiyan.

People would only remember Lu Shiyan abandoning me at the wedding venue, not knowing it was she who called and made Lu Shiyan leave.

She was as sinister and vicious as ever.

As soon as he saw Su Ning'an, Lu's father's eyes lit up. "An'an, you have the best relationship with your brother. Talk some sense into him properly."

When Lu's father's gaze fell on Su Ning'an's wrist, clear doubt appeared in his eyes. "What happened to your hand?"

"I'm fine, Dad. You all go down first."

"But you're alone..."

"Brother's illness is of the heart; it naturally requires heart medicine to cure. Right now, his emotions are intense; having many people around isn't suitable."

Lu's father frowned in thought. "What you say makes sense. You must counsel him properly."

After saying this, Lu's father left with the bodyguards, specifically closing the door and posting guards outside so they could provide support immediately if anything happened.

On the rooftop, the cold wind howled, tousling Su Ning'an's hair.

She stood in front of Lu Shiyan, who lay there motionless like a dead dog, unknown what he was thinking.

If I hadn't seen his wild encounters with Su Ning'an in various places, I might have really believed he loved me desperately.

I loved him deeply once, so I know that when you love someone wholeheartedly, there's no room for another person.

Even though we grew up together and I've had suitors around me constantly over the years.

I never let my heart wander because of others' pursuits. From beginning to end, there was only him in my heart and eyes.

The moment he wavered between me and Su Ning'an, he had already betrayed our relationship.

I somewhat despised him—daring to act but not daring to take responsibility, prioritizing pride over well-being.

He appeared to love me deeply, but it was merely to mask the guilt in his heart.

Su Ning'an looked down at him. "Brother, if you want to die for Sister, what about me? Don't you want me, or the child anymore?"

See, Su Ning'an always hits the mark with one strike.

Lu Shiyan's pupils shifted slightly upon hearing 'child.' He said in a hoarse voice, "Why are you here? You've caused Wanwan to end up like this today, are you happy?"

"Me, happy?"

Su Ning'an looked innocent. "Brother, I don't deny that seeing your tenderness towards Sister made me really envious. I've thought more than once how nice it would be if you treated me that way too. What I felt towards Sister was mostly envy, but I never hated her."

"We are biological sisters. What good would her death do me?"

Hearing this, Lu Shiyan became energized. He pushed himself up from the ground unsteadily with his hands.

Lu Shiyan's eyes were full of hatred. He grabbed Su Ning'an by the collar. "What good would it do you? If Wanwan died, you could be with me! Was this your deliberate design?! When she was dying, you were watching fireworks with me! You stopped me from going to find her, you poisonous woman!"

As he spoke, Lu Shiyan raised his hand to hit Su Ning'an again.

Actually, the scenario I wanted to see was a dog-eat-dog fight, not one-sided abuse.

I knew deeply that for a rotten person like Su Ning'an, with her strong willpower, this little pain meant nothing to her.

A few slaps alone couldn't tear off Su Ning'an's true mask; instead, it easily played into her schemes.

Su Ning'an didn't dodge. She closed her eyes, her eyelashes trembling slightly. "If hitting me makes you feel better, then beat me to death."

Hearing this, Lu Shiyan's hand didn't fall after all.

Whether it was because she was pregnant or because he couldn't bring himself to do it, Lu Shiyan's hand slowly lowered.

"How much do you know about Su Wan's matter?"

Su Ning'an shook her head. "Brother, after Sister disappeared, I inquired everywhere. You saw the results—once in Yuncheng, once with the photo incident. I don't know much more than you do."

After a pause, she continued, "Dad already had the photo tested for authenticity. It's real. Perhaps Sister had already betrayed you before she disappeared."

Lu Shiyan clenched his fists, veins bulging on the back of his hands. He looked up sharply. "Impossible! Su Wan and I have been together for so many years. I know perfectly well what kind of woman she is. She couldn't have done such a thing."

"What if it was for revenge?"

Su Ning'an's voice turned colder. Lu Shiyan stared into her eyes. "What do you mean?"

Su Ning'an looked around, ensuring no one was there and the bodyguards couldn't hear, then lowered her voice. "Sister never intended to marry you. If you hadn't jilted her that day, the ones condemned by everyone would have been you and me."

Lu Shiyan's pupils dilated. "What exactly are you trying to say?!"

"Actually, Sister had long held a grudge against me. She felt I destroyed your relationship. She had been looking for an opportunity to take revenge on both of us."

Su Ning'an licked her dry lips and added, "These are things I found. You'll understand once you see them."

On Su Ning'an's phone were some photos or videos—all evidence I had collected while alive.

After the miscarriage, to get revenge on them, I pretended to stay by Lu Shiyan's side, but actually, I was seizing the chance to expose him and Su Ning'an at the wedding.

"Sister had already arranged everything at the wedding venue, planning to have it played on the big screen before exchanging rings."

Su Ning'an's long, manicured nail tapped on one of the photos—one I had struggled to capture.

It was also the most intimate moment between Su Ning'an and Lu Shiyan; they were kissing.

Given their identities, even without concrete evidence, the usual intimate photos and this kissing photo were enough to nail them to the pillar of shame forever.

Su Ning'an's painstakingly built persona would completely collapse; she would only be known as the shameless home-wrecker who seduced her brother-in-law.

And Lu Shiyan would be worse off—betraying his wife, having an affair with his sister-in-law.

"Have you ever thought about the consequences for you and me if Sister had released these things? The热搜 that day would have exploded. The Su and Lu families would be dragged down by her."

Lu Shiyan clearly felt a belated fear, his face filled with terror.

Without Su Ning'an describing it, he knew the consequences of exposure would be a terrifying blow to the Lu family; his entire life would be stained by this disgrace. Su Ning'an caressed his cheek, word by word, in his ear: "Silly brother, my sister was never as gentle and kind as you saw. Su Wan, ah, she is the truly vicious woman!"
