By the time Lu Shiyan finished gathering all the photos, his hands were still trembling.
He was extremely nervous.
He quickly scrambled into his car, like a thief.
"Assistant Lin..." he instinctively called out.
The driver replied, "Mr. Lu, have you forgotten? Assistant Lin was injured in the fighting in Jindian. He just returned to the country and is still recuperating."
Lu Shiyan rubbed his forehead. He was on the verge of a breakdown.
After catching his breath, he said, "Back to the Lu residence."
Lu Shiyan's already haggard face was now filled with fear. I knew he was scared. If the Old Master Lu found out about this, his hopes for the inheritance would be dashed.
Returning to the old mansion, Old Master Lu was drinking tea in the tea room.

It seemed the Old Master was just dissatisfied with him and didn't know about the affair. Lu Shiyan's expression eased slightly.
"Grandfather, I respect and fear you. I'm not like Uncle, who's arrogant and looks down on everyone."
The Old Master snorted dismissively. "You've been timid and weak-willed since you were a child, indecisive in everything, afraid of both the tiger in front and the wolf behind. You don't even have the business acumen and vision of Wan. You and her were supposed to complement each other. Don't think I haven't noticed your wandering eyes these past couple of years."
Even now, the Old Master's tone was still one of guidance. Lu Shiyan was relieved he didn't know the truth.
"Grandfather, I truly only see An'an as a sister. The person I really love is Wanwan."

I moved closer too. On it was a picture of that orchid.

Lu Shiyan sharply turned to look at Lu Yanchen. "So Wanwan really isn't with you?"

"What benefit would I get from hiding her? Is that why you came today?"
