Chapter 63 - Chapter 63: Announcing My Death

Grandma had just stopped crying, but my words made tears stream down her face again.

It was my oversight. After all these days, from initial anger and resentment to my current state, I had accepted my death.

But I overlooked my family. Grandma had just learned the truth. She must still be struggling to process it, and thinking about the circumstances of my death made her even more grief-stricken.

Seeing Grandma's tears, Nanny Wang quickly wiped them with a tissue.

"Oh dear, Old Madam, you mustn't cry. Don't you need to save your strength to wait for Miss Wan's return? Crying every day like this, your body can't take it."

Grandma was suffering in silence, unable to speak. She just looked in my direction, knowing that no matter what she did, her granddaughter couldn't come back.

I had promised to care for her in her old age and see her off at the end. But fate had other plans. Who could have predicted Grandma, with her white hair, would end up sending her dark-haired granddaughter away?

Su Ning'an left with a cold laugh. She knew Grandma cried daily and wouldn't last long.

I stayed by Grandma's side,哄了她很久, before she slowly stopped crying.

"Grandma, even though I'm dead, I'm still with you in another form. I don't need to eat or drink now, and I can't be hurt. I'm doing fine."

"It was just a bit lonely before. I couldn't make you hear anything I said. Now I can chat with you. It's not so bad, right?"

"If you get bored, I can even dance for you."

With that, I danced gracefully in the sunlight, performing the dance from my first Children's Day performance when I was little.

Grandma's mood improved considerably. Nanny Wang found it quite remarkable how quickly the Old Madam's emotions had shifted.

"Grandma, you need to cooperate with the treatment and get better soon. All my hopes are on you now. Only you can announce my death to the world."

Grandma blinked, agreeing with my suggestion.

Soon, Nanny Wang discovered Grandma had wet the bed. Though Grandma couldn't speak, her eyes were full of shame and guilt.

She had been strong-willed all her life. Facing something like this naturally made her embarrassed in front of others.

Nanny Wang, however, didn't show any disgust. After all, Nanny Wang was just an orphanage child back then. Grandma took pity on her and adopted her, making her one of her most trusted confidantes.

"Old Madam, it's alright. I've been with you all these years. I don't mind."

As she spoke, she meticulously cleaned Grandma. To prevent bedsores, she even washed Grandma thoroughly with clean water.

Nanny Wang closed the door and whispered comforting words in Grandma's ear.

"I insisted on coming to care for you, Old Madam. I know your hospitalization wasn't an accident. That Su Ning'an is no good. She sent me away that day, and then you ended up in the hospital. Everyone knows you've always disliked her. She must have done something to you behind our backs."

Hearing Nanny Wang's words warmed my heart. See? Any normal person would suspect Su Ning'an.

Nanny Wang sighed. "It's my fault for arriving too late, letting her harm you. No one in the family believes me. I'm just a servant; I can't do much. I can only stay by your side. Don't worry, I won't give her another chance to hurt you."

Grandma's pupils shimmered.

"I asked the doctor privately. It's just that you were overly agitated, causing a blood clot in your head, which led to the paralysis. You can recover gradually."

A determined look filled Grandma's eyes. The moment she recovered, her first task would be to expose Su Ning'an's true nature to everyone and announce my death to the world!
