Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: You Will Never See Su Wan Again

Seeing such a gruesome image, Grandma immediately felt extremely uncomfortable. But since it concerned my life, Grandma suppressed her distress and said, "Do you think I'll believe it's Wanwan just because you show me some random prop? Su Ning'an, I'm not some naive teenage girl!"

During the argument, my gaze never left the screen. With just one glance, I could confirm that finger was mine.

However, this severed finger definitely wasn't cut off today.

Su Ning'an zoomed in on the finger. "Grandma, don't you even recognize your own granddaughter's finger? Or are your eyes too old and blurry to see? Let me zoom in for you. Sister's index finger has a deep scar, formed last year when a guitar string cut into it."

"What does one scar prove? Su Ning'an, I advise you to give up this idea."

"Grandma, you really won't give up until you see the coffin."

Su Ning'an lowered her head and typed something else on her phone. Soon, the other party sent another photo.

This time, it was my profile.

It was my face, just like the one I had seen in the secret room.

Because my body was coated with a special oil, my face looked the same as when I was alive. Even though I had been dead for many days, there wasn't a single sign of livor mortis on my skin.

I looked like I was just asleep.

This was the photo Grandma saw.

"Wanwan!"

She began to believe Su Ning'an's words. "What have you done to Wanwan? Why are her eyes closed?"

Su Ning'an looked completely at ease. "She probably passed out from the pain of having her finger cut off. Grandma, don't blame me. Blame yourself for valuing those shares so much. If you had just given them to me earlier, wouldn't everything be fine?"

Grandma grabbed Su Ning'an's collar with one hand. "You lunatic! She is your own sister! How could you cut off her finger? How is she supposed to live in the future?"

Su Ning'an's eyes were particularly cold. Grandma didn't understand, but I had already figured it out.

She wanted to say I have no future.

It's just that I still had some use now, so she wouldn't tell Grandma the truth.

Su Ning'an sneered. "I'll count to three. If you don't answer, I'll have someone cut off another one of her fingers. When her hands are done, there are still her feet. If that's not enough, there are many other bones in her body. Breaking them one by one isn't difficult either. Shall we see how long she can hold on?"

"Three..."

Before she could even say "one," Grandma spoke: "I need to see Wanwan before I sign." Grandma was still holding onto a last resort.

Su Ning'an placed the share transfer agreement on the table, her face expressionless. "Sign it, and I'll send her back. And I want your guarantee that you won't speak of today's events. Otherwise, I can harm Su Wan once, and I can kidnap her again. But she might not be so lucky next time."

Grandma stared at her for a long moment, never expecting to be manipulated by a young girl like this.

Perhaps with anyone else, Grandma would have remained calm and collected. But when it came to me, she had lost all reason.

Grandma met her eyes, seeing boundless ambition within them, and finally had no choice but to compromise.

"Fine, I'll sign. But if I don't see Wanwan, I won't let you get away with this."

I smiled bitterly, helpless. I'm sorry, Grandma. You've been deceived. You will never see me again in this life.

Watching Grandma put her signature on the paper and press her fingerprint, my heart ached unbearably, yet I could change nothing.

"I've signed what you wanted. I want to see Wanwan today."

Su Ning'an let the ink dry, then carefully placed the document into her folder.

"Grandma, I'm afraid I'll have to trouble you to record a video for me, stating that you voluntarily transferred the shares to me."

Grandma had no choice but to do as she said.

After recording the video, Grandma couldn't wait. "Where is Wanwan?"

A smile tugged at the corner of Su Ning'an's mouth. Instantly, a bad premonition rose in my heart.

The next second, I heard her say, word by word, "Grandma, I tricked you. You will never see Su Wan again."
