Opening Scene (ICU)
Zayan sat on the bench outside the ICU.
Silent.
Still.
His eyes locked on the glass window, watching his father lying unconscious inside.
Machines beeped softly.
Time felt frozen.
Zoya walked toward him and quietly sat beside him.
Zoya (softly):
"Don't worry… your dad will be fine."
Zayan nodded his head slightly.
But his eyes didn't move.
Suddenly—
A voice came from behind.
Wali:
"How is Dad?"
Zayan and Zoya turned at the same time.
Shock.
Neither of them expected him.
Wali (firm, serious):
"I'm talking to you."
Before they could respond—
The ICU door opened.
The doctor stepped out.
Doctor:
"Are you here with Mr. Faisal?"
Wali (immediately):
"Yes. How is he?"
The doctor adjusted his glasses.
Doctor:
"He's stable now… but we need to discuss something."
He looked at both brothers.
Doctor:
"You two, please come with me."
Zayan and Wali exchanged a brief glance.
Tension.
Unspoken.
And then—
They followed the doctor
Scene — Doctor's Cabin
The doctor looked down at the reports in silence.
Zayan couldn't hold it anymore.
Zayan (anxious):
"Doctor… is everything alright?"
The doctor lifted his eyes.
His expression was serious.
Doctor:
"Your father has been diagnosed with a brain tumor."
Silence.
Heavy.
Zayan froze.
Wali's jaw tightened.
Both brothers looked at each other — shocked.
Zayan (voice shaking):
"B… brain tumor? How…? What… what do we do now?"
Doctor:
"Well, we need to discuss the case with our specialist. After that, we'll decide the next step."
Wali suddenly stood up.
Anger.
Fear.
Both mixed together.
Wali (sharp):
"What do you mean 'discuss'? Can't you hear? This is about my dad."
The doctor stayed calm.
Wali:
"If you can't handle it, just tell us. We'll arrange the best doctor ourselves."
Zayan quickly stepped in.
Zayan:
"Wali…"
He turned to the doctor.
Zayan (apologetic):
"I'm sorry, doctor."
Zayan grabbed Wali's arm gently.
Zayan (low voice):
"Come with me."
Wali didn't resist.
But his eyes were burning.
Both brothers walked out together.
Scene — Hospital Corridor
Zayan (controlled but firm):
"What are you doing?"
Wali (frustrated):
"What am I doing? Zayan, did you hear what he said?"
He ran a hand through his hair.
Wali:
"He said… he said Dad has a brain tumor. And they want to discuss things?"
Zayan's tone turned sharp.
Zayan:
"I know. But you need to stay calm. Your attitude will destroy everything."
A pause.
Then he added, colder—
Zayan:
"And by the way… why are you suddenly showing so much concern?"
Wali's eyes hardened.
Wali:
"Stop it, Zayan."
Before the argument could escalate—
Zoya stepped between them.
Zoya (firm):
"Boys, what are you doing?"
She looked at both of them.
Zoya:
"Your dad is sick… and you two are busy arguing?"
Wali let out a bitter laugh.
Wali:
"Then tell your beloved friend."
He glanced at Zayan.
Wali:
"Because he seems to have forgotten that."
Wali turned and walked away.
Zayan watched him leave, irritated.
Zayan (muttering):
"Did you see his tone?"
At that moment, a nurse approached.
Nurse:
"You can meet your father now."
Zayan nodded.
Without another word, he walked straight toward the ICU.
Scene — Inside the ICU
Zayan walked slowly into the ICU.
Faisal Shah lay on the bed, surrounded by machines.
The steady beeping filled the silence.
Zayan moved closer and gently held his father's hand.
Zayan (softly):
"How are you now?"
Faisal slowly opened his eyes.
He saw the tears on Zayan's face.
With weak fingers, he wiped them away and gave a faint smile.
Faisal:
"Don't cry… your dad is alive. Look… right in front of your eyes."
Zayan couldn't hold himself anymore.
He leaned forward and hugged his father tightly, like a child.
Zayan (breaking down):
"Please don't leave me, Dad… I can't live without you. Please… I beg you… don't leave me."
Faisal gently placed his hand on Zayan's head.
Faisal (weak but warm):
"Don't cry, my son… you are my strength. If you break like this… then who will be my strength?"
Zayan slowly pulled back and wiped his tears.
Zayan (determined):
"Don't worry. Nothing will happen to you. I'll take you to the best doctors. You'll be fine."
Faisal nodded slightly.
Then he looked around.
Faisal:
"Where is Wali? Did you inform him?"
Zayan paused.
Zayan:
"He's here… I'll call him."
Zayan gently placed his father's hand back on the bed…
…and walked out.
Scene — Hospital Corridor
Zoya stood in the corridor, her eyes scanning around.
Then she noticed someone sitting alone in the corner… trying to stay away from everyone.
It was Wali.
His head lowered.
His shoulders heavy.
Zoya walked toward him quietly and sat beside him.
She gently placed her hand on his shoulder.
Wali didn't say anything.
Instead… he slowly leaned his head onto Zoya's lap and broke down like a child.
Wali (voice trembling):
"I already lost everything… my dad is everything for me. I can't lose him too."
Zoya gently stroked his hair.
Zoya (softly):
"Wali… please don't cry. Your dad will be fine… hopefully."
Wali looked up at her.
His eyes red.
Wali:
"Really?"
Zoya (nodding):
"Yes. Now go and meet him… and don't cry in front of him. Your tears will break him."
Wali wiped his tears.
Wali:
"You're right… I need to be strong."
He looked at her gratefully.
Wali:
"Thank you."
Wali stood up.
Just then, Zayan approached.
Zayan:
"Dad is calling you."
Wali (quietly):
"Hmm…"
Wali walked toward the ICU.
Still emotional… but stronger than before.
Scene — Inside the ICU (Wali & Faisal)
Wali slowly walked into the ICU.
Faisal turned his head slightly when he saw him.
A faint smile appeared on his face.
Faisal (weakly):
"I thought… you wouldn't come."
Wali stayed calm.
His expression unreadable.
Wali:
"Why? Am I not your son?"
Faisal's eyes softened.
Faisal:
"Of course you are… you're my beloved son."
(soft pause)
"But I'm sorry… I couldn't be the best father for you."
Before he could continue—
Wali gently stopped him.
Wali (quietly):
"Don't think too much. Just rest."
He leaned forward and kissed his father's forehead.
A rare, tender gesture.
Then—
Without saying anything else…
Wali turned and walked away.
Leaving behind unspoken emotions.
Scene — Hospital Corridor
Zayan glanced at Zoya thoughtfully.
Zoya:
"What?"
Zayan:
"Are you… in a relationship with him?"
Zoya frowned, surprised.
Zoya:
"What? He just came suddenly. I haven't even seen him for five years."
Zayan looked slightly awkward.
Zayan:
"Sorry… I didn't mean to upset you."
Just then, Wali came out of the ICU.
Zayan:
"Is he asleep?"
Wali:
"Yeah… If you want, you guys can go home. I'll stay with him."
Zayan (firm):
"No need. I'll stay. I'll drop Zoya as well."
Wali:
"Look—"
Zoya suddenly interrupted, clearly irritated.
Zoya:
"Can you both please stop? I'm done with you two."
She looked at both brothers.
Zoya:
"I'll go by myself. You both stay here and take care of your dad… like good sons."
A brief silence.
Zoya:
"Okay?"
Wali:
"Okay."
Zayan:
"Hmm."
Zoya picked up her bag and walked away, leaving the two brothers standing there… once again in uncomfortable silence.
Scene — Arman House, Morning
The breakfast table was set.
Everyone from the Arman family gathered quietly.
Junaid:
"Good morning, Dad."
Grandpa:
"Morning."
Zay walked in and took his seat.
Zay:
"Good morning, everyone."
Rose:
"Do you want bread?"
Zay:
"Thank you."
Grandpa looked at him thoughtfully.
Grandpa:
"Zay, have you talked to Wali?"
Zay:
"Not yet."
Junaid:
"Is everything okay?"
Grandpa sighed.
Grandpa:
"Yes… actually, I've been calling him, but he's not responding."
Rose smirked lightly.
Rose:
"He must be with his girlfriends."
Grandpa gave her a sharp look.
Rose quickly corrected herself.
Rose:
"I mean… friends. And by the way, he's an adult now."
Junaid:
"Don't worry, I'll call him."
Just then, a phone notification sound broke the silence.
Grandpa checked his phone.
It was a message from Wali.
He read it.
His expression changed.
Junaid:
"Is everything okay, Dad?"
Grandpa (serious):
"Faisal Shah has been diagnosed with a brain tumor… Wali informed me."
Zay froze.
Zay:
"What?"
Junaid muttered under his breath—
Junaid:
"Karma returns."
Zay (firm):
"Dad… please."
Grandpa looked at Junaid disapprovingly.
Grandpa:
"You should focus on yourself… not judge others."
An awkward silence filled the room.
Rose:
"Dad, do you want coffee?"
Grandpa:
"No, thanks."
Grandpa stood up and left the table.
Zay grabbed his keys.
Zay:
"Okay… I'm leaving for the hospital."
He walked out, leaving tension behind.
Scene — Morning, at home
The breakfast table was neatly set.
The family sat quietly, the soft light of morning filling the room.
Junaid:
"Good morning, Dad."
Grandpa:
"Morning."
Zay entered, moving with calm confidence, and took his seat.
Zay:
"Good morning, everyone."
Rose:
"Do you want some bread?"
Zay:
"Thank you."
Grandpa looked at Zay thoughtfully.
Grandpa:
"Zay… have you talked to Wali?"
Zay:
"Not yet."
Junaid:
"Is everything okay?"
Grandpa sighed, the weight of worry pressing down on him.
Grandpa:
"Yes… I've been trying to reach him, but he's not responding."
Rose smirked lightly.
Rose:
"He must be with his girlfriends."
Grandpa shot her a sharp look.
Rose (quickly correcting herself):
"I mean… friends. And, he's an adult now."
Junaid:
"Don't worry, I'll call him."
A phone notification suddenly broke the quiet. Grandpa checked his phone.
It was a message from Wali.
His expression tightened as he read it.
Junaid:
"Is everything okay, Dad?"
Grandpa (serious, heavy voice):
"Faisal Shah has been diagnosed with a brain tumor… Wali informed me."
Zay froze, the words hitting him like a shockwave.
Zay:
"What?"
Junaid muttered under his breath.
Junaid:
"Karma returns."
Zay (firm, sharp):
"Dad… please."
Grandpa looked at Junaid with disapproval, his voice calm but firm.
Grandpa:
"You should focus on yourself… not judge others."
An awkward silence settled over the table.
Rose:
"Dad, do you want coffee?"
Grandpa:
"No, thanks."
Without another word, Grandpa stood and walked away.
Zay grabbed his keys, determination in his eyes.
Zay:
"Okay… I'm leaving for the hospital."
He walked out, leaving the room heavy with unspoken worry.
Scene — Hospital
Zara stood beside the reception desk.
Girl at desk:
"Good morning, Dr. Zara."
Zara:
"Good morning. Have you seen Dr. Mario yet?"
Girl:
"Not yet."
Zara:
"Oh…"
The girl's eyes spotted someone from a distance.
Girl:
"But Dr. Zay is here."
Zay waved from across the room.
Zara (smiling):
"Good morning."
Zay:
"Good morning, Dr. Zara. How are you?"
Zara:
"I'm good, thank you. And you?"
Zay:
"I'm fine. So, any plans for today?"
Zara:
"Well… Dr. Jack hasn't told us yet."
Zay:
"And where's Dr. Mario?"
Mario (walking up):
"Here I am."
Zay:
"Think of the devil… and the devil appears!"
Everyone laughed.
Mario:
"Hahaha… very funny."
Suddenly, a message popped up on Zara's screen.
Zara:
"Anyway, let's go report to Dr. Jack."
Mario:
"I hope he doesn't send us to the emergency room again."
Zay:
"I hope he does… sends you."
Mario:
"Me?!"
Zara (scolding playfully):
"Behave, you two!"
Scene — Zoya Getting Ready
Downstairs, her mother called out.
Mom:
"Zoya… Zoya, come down! Breakfast is ready."
Zoya:
"Coming, Mom!"
Zoya rushed downstairs, grabbed a sandwich from the plate, and almost ran back upstairs.
Mom (scolding lightly):
"What are you doing? Sit calmly and then eat."
Zoya:
"No, I'm already late. Have you packed my lunch?"
Mom:
"Yes, I did."
Zoya:
"Okay, bye-bye!"
Mom:
"Bye, take care!"
Zoya slid into the car. Almost immediately, her phone rang—Alize calling.
Zoya:
"Oh, Alize!"
She picked up the call.
Alize:
"Guess what… where am I?"
Zoya:
"Don't tell me… you're at our place?"
Alize:
"Yes!"
Zoya (excited):
"That's amazing! Let's arrange a meetup."
Alize:
"Of course! So, where are you now?"
Zoya:
"Well, right now I'm driving to the hospital and then the office. We can meet in the evening."
Alize:
"Hospital? Are you okay?"
Zoya:
"Yeah… actually, I'm visiting Zayan's father. He's in the hospital—he's been diagnosed with a brain tumor."
Alize:
"What? That's so sad! How is he now?"
Zoya:
"Hmm… he's okay for now."
Alize:
"Zayan must be worried… and Wali isn't there?"
Zoya:
"No, he's coming."
Alize:
"Really… Wali Shah? That's a strange surprise. Anyway, share the hospital location with me—I want to visit too."
Zoya:
"Okay, bye-bye for now."
Alize:
"Take care!"
Scene — Hospital
Wali and Zayan sat with the doctor, discussing their father's condition.
Doctor:
"I've reviewed Mr. Faisal Shah's reports. It's not completely split, so surgery is possible."
Zayan:
"Then… that's good news."
Wali:
"And after that… will Dad be fine?"
Doctor:
"Well, maybe. But I don't want to give you false hope. You should be prepared for any outcome."
Zayan looked at Wali, disappointment clear on his face.
Wali:
"What if we shift Dad to Skyline Vale Hospital?"
Doctor:
"Yes, you can. In fact, Dr. Jack is there—I fully recommend him."
Zayan:
"Dr. Jack?"
Wali:
"He's one of the top surgeons. He's performed many successful surgeries in his career."
Wali looked at the doctor confidently.
Wali:
"I'm right, aren't I?"
Scene — Outside the Doctor's Room
The doctor nodded.
Zayan:
"Thank you, Doctor."
Wali:
"Thank you."
Both brothers stood up and walked outside.
Zayan (to Wali, hesitant):
"Wali… are you sure Dr. Jack is the right option?"
Wali:
"Of course he is. Don't you trust me?"
Zayan (voice turning cold):
"No… I don't."
Wali paused for a moment, studying his brother's face. Then he smiled gently.
Wali:
"I know you don't trust me, but in the case of Dad… you can trust me. He's my father too.
"In fact, you can check for yourself—about Dr. Jack."
From behind, a familiar voice called out.
Zoya:
"I hope I'm not late."
Both turned toward her.
Zayan:
"Good morning."
Zoya:
"Good morning."
Zayan noticed a lunch box in her hand.
Zayan:
"What's that?"
Zoya:
"A breakfast… for you guys."
Zayan:
"There's no need for that, Zoya. We'll eat from the café."
Zoya (teasing, smiling):
"Come on, Zayan. Hospital food makes you feel like a sick person."
Wali looked at her, shock crossing his face. That was exactly what he had told her before—and she still remembered.
Wali (to himself):
"She still remembers my words."
Zoya (to Zayan):
"Let's go. I'm hungry too."
Zayan (smiling):
"Okay… let's go."
Zayan and Zoya walked ahead, while Wali quietly followed them.
Scene — Hospital Room
Zoya:
"Good morning, Uncle. How are you now?"
Faisal:
"I'm good."
Zayan:
"Let me put that on the plates."
Faisal:
"What's that?"
Zayan:
"Ah… it's breakfast that Zoya brought for us."
Faisal:
"That's so sweet. Thank you very much. Boys, you're lucky to have a friend like her."
Zoya:
"Thank you."
Wali:
"Ah… if you want, you can go to the office, Zayan. I'm here for Dad."
Zayan (sharp tone):
"No need for that. I'm here. In fact, Zoya will manage things in my absence at the office."
Zoya (smiling lightly):
"Yes, boss."
Wali:
"Okay then, fine. If you guys don't need me, I'll leave."
Wali walked away.
Faisal:
"W… Wali…"
Faisal looked at Zayan with disappointment.
Zayan:
"What? Don't think too much. He's just like that."
Zoya:
"I think I should go. Bye."
Zayan:
"Bye-bye."
Zoya also walked away.
Scene — In the Car
Wali drove silently, the road stretching endlessly ahead.
Zayan's words echoed in his mind.
Wali (to himself):
"Zayan doesn't trust me… Maybe he forgave me… but he hasn't forgotten anything."
He tightened his grip on the steering wheel.
Wali:
"What kind of person are you, Wali Shah?
Everyone hates you…"
His phone rang.
He answered.
Wali:
"Hello."
Ali:
"Hi, sweetheart. How are you?"
Wali:
"Hmm… alive."
Ali:
"What happened? Why do you sound so down? Is Uncle okay?"
Wali:
"Yeah… he's fine."
Ali:
"That's great. Anyway, I'm close to the hospital. Tell me, where are you?"
Wali:
"In the car."
Ali:
"What? Don't tell me you fought with your brother and left."
Wali (dry smile):
"Wow… you know me very well."
Ali:
"You're so childish, Wali."
Wali:
"I'm not. He is."
Ali:
"Yeah… anyway, I want to discuss something with you."
Wali:
"About what?"
Ali (lower voice):
"Our mission. Did you forget?"
Wali's expression turned serious.
Wali:
"I didn't. After all… it's the only way to get back my love… my brother… everything that I lost."
He glanced at the road ahead.
Wali:
"I'll send you the location."
Ali:
"Okay. Catch you there."
The call ended.
Wali pressed the accelerator…
His eyes filled with determination.
Something big… was about to begin.
