Eventually, Callum took his little family home because it was already late. His twins were already asleep, but Edith still didn't want to sleep, as she had something she wanted to tell Callum. Edith put on her face mask for a moment at the vanity table, gazing at Callum's handsome face, still glowing despite his exhaustion from the day's work.
"You shouldn't have worn a face mask today. I noticed you looked tired earlier," Callum suggested softly.
"It's okay. Besides, I don't want to sleep yet." Edith got up from her chair for a moment and sat down on the bed with her fiancé.
"Did something happen to you?"
"I met James earlier."
In an instant, Callum's face turned sullen. "Why did you meet him without me?"
Edith folded her arms. "Why are you so jealous? He and I were just talking."
"Because I don't want to let you meet other men alone without me."
