Chapter 19 - Side Story 1

Just a little pov from army that Akira will fight.

On a world teetering on the brink of ruin, a magnificent castle stood as the final bastion of a kingdom that still held strong.

Within the throne room, an aged man sat on his throne, his form bowed by the weight of a crown he wore too well. Lines of exhaustion etched around his eyes spoke of the burden he carried as he listened to the grim report of his subordinates.

Amidst the dreary catalog of losses, a sudden, unnatural red light flooded the hall. The world outside turned a sickening crimson. A blood-red moon, impossibly large, dominated the sky.

Seeing it, a slow, resolute smile spread across the old king's lips.

"Father," a commanding voice cut through the stunned silence. A young woman stepped forward, her armor gleaming. "Let me be the one in command."

The King nodded, the weariness momentarily banished. "Go, my daughter. Bring a victory to our kingdom. Prepare the army—let the adventurers be ready."

As if on cue, a portion of the city near the capital's boundary began to vanish—not crumble, but simply erase itself from existence. The disappearance left behind a gaping void.

Without hesitation, the army and the assembled adventurers began their march. By the time the forward ranks reached the boundary of the vanished area, a massive, gate had materialized in the void, waiting for them.

The moment the army surged inside the obsidian gate, a booming, formless voice reverberated through the new dimension. But the soldiers ignored it, their movements steady and practiced; this was not their first battle within the realms the gate connected. They swiftly ignored the celestial pronouncement, focusing their sight on the second gate directly across the vast, hostile plain.

As the World's Voice faded, a wave of panic struck the enemy lines on the far side. Approximately half the personnel opposing them immediately broke rank, abandoning their positions and scrambling back through their own gate.

The Princess, standing at the forefront with her commanders, couldn't suppress a look of disdainful satisfaction. A sneer curled her lips, a look mirrored by the general beside her.

"An easy victory, then," she murmured, a cold excitement in her eyes. The high cost of their journey was about to be repaid with swift, cheap triumph.
