" Thank you very much" Erica thanked the cab man as she comes out from the cab "You're welcome
dear" the cab man said flashing her a smile. Erica looked up at the luxurious view in front of her, the
company was big and glamorous. She walked inside the company to meet the burning gaze of a man,
she was taken aback for a while before realizing that she had worn a mask earlier to hide her real
features "Hello, do you need anything from me?" she asked the man who just kept staring at her, she
felt as if she should hide herself, the man's gaze left her uncomfortable, she stood there transfixed on a
spot, it felt as if the moments were paused "Humph!!!" she let out a sigh, the man's gaze was averted
from her by the help of a man on a suit who whispered something to him, after which he nodded and
left the hall. "I can't even stare at someone like that, I wonder what he was looking at" she said looking
up to find a group of people staring at her " wow this place is filled with scare scows, how can they stand
just to stare at a person, it's really a stupid thing to do" Erica murmured to herself " Hello, everyone can
I get to see the CEO " she said to the hearing of the group "geez still no answer, I guess I'll have to find
him myself" she said as she passed the group and walked into the corridor apparently leading to the
elevator.

~ On the fourth floor~
"Assistant Nelson, a lady is here to see you" Victor the CEO's secretary said to the CEO who was busy
with some paper work " Bring her in" Nelson said still bent on his work while Erica walked in " Victor,
please take her to the D.S hall" Nelson said to his secretary who looked at the masked lady in front of
him, she seemed to have something up her sleeves, why would she choose to wear a mask.
$ Erica POV $
Jeez, this was the same man that was staring at me like a moron, no wonder he is working with moron's
like him. I guess my stay is gonna be fun, but I haven't seen the ruthless, but unknown Diego isn't he
supposed to be the one taking care of his company, humph, he must be a lazy one. I was taken to a hall
filled with different people in their different corners, I received the same welcome I received at the
entrance well I expected it "Hello everyone!!! We have a new colleague by name Erica, pls work with her
peace fully and make her feel comfortable" the chief designer announced "pls follow me" he said
leading me to a corner with a desk and a chair " pls make yourself comfortable" he said as giving me a
suspicious look before leaving" such a dumb ass" I said as I sat down on the cushion like chair.
$ Jocelyn POV $
Why would chief victor give her that look, she looks calm and welcoming, but why would she choose to
wear a mask? " she must be trying to hide something maybe I'll go have a good chat with her, I guess it
won't hurt.
& Erica POV &
" Hi Erica, can I "a seat " a cheerful looking lady said, actually one of my new colleagues " Yes, you can " I
replied as she sat down on a chair beside me, I wonder what she wants to blurt out,~ hey calm down
Erica try to be nice, remember she's the first person that wants to talk to you today, don't be an ass~ my
sub-conscience reminded me. Okay I guess I'll have to give her a try, let's see what she has to say "
would you like to have lunch with me?" the lady requested, forgetting her manners " oh!, I'm Jocelyn
Ovis, and you're Erica Edwards as I heard " she said ~ finally got them back ~ " Yes, I'm Erica Edwards
and about your request I'll have to think about it " I said, I could see the fear of being rejected in her
eyes " okay if that's fine by you, I'll be expecting your reply" she said standing up to go " wait a minute,
don't you guys have a lunch reservoir for employees?" I asked her " oh about that, we have but some of
us prefer using the cafeteria it's much more better there " she said smiling " okay thanks, I'll think about
your request " I said as she walked back to her seat.
* Nelson POV *
''Send the details of the lady that you employed ''a man voices echoed from the line .''Yes boss I'll do that right
away '' I replied as the line was cut off immediately " what does the boss want to do with the lady's details?" I
asked myself as I sent her details to him. This is the first time the boss is requesting for a lady's personal details,
something must be off, I need to find out more about this lady, I thought as I called Jason " Hello, is the boss
back?" Jason asked from the other line ''the boss isn't back, I need you to do some other things for me ''I said
''it seems important , what is it '' he asked ''I employed a lady by the name Erica Edwards, and the boss is
involved in her personal details ,I need you to find out more about her '' I replied ''hmm sounds interesting
why would the boss be interested in her personal details '' he asked ''I don't know and that why I want you to
find out about her '' I said as I cut the call immediately ,something is wrong.
~ Lunch break ~
Erica POV
After checking the lunch reservoir [room] and finding it boring , I decided to try the cafeteria ,on getting
to the cafeteria I spotted Jocelyn sitting alone while eating her food, maybe I'll keep her company, I
thought as I ordered for Macaroni and Cheese cutlets alongside a glass of Orange juice and headed for
her table. "You accepted, thanks" Jocelyn said cheerfully while I sat down beside her " Yeah, at least it
would make you happy" I replied sarcastically "Did you also receive the type of welcome that I received ?"
I asked her " well no, I guess they were staring at you because of the mask on your face" she replied "
Huh!! Did that poke a nerve?, that's none of their business " I said rolling my eyes." But why did you
decide to put on a mask?, it's weird" she said while I scoffed " you have got a problem with that?, well
I've got a big scar on my face, and I've got to cover it up so that no one would laugh " I replied as she
started laughing "She's so nosy" I said to myself " why are you laughing?" " nothing, it's just so funny
didn't you treat it?" she asked with a questioning look " You seem like a nosy person, well I tried treating
it but it left a big ugly scar " I replied "can I take a look at it?" "well, I can't show you because you'll get
mad at the sight of it" "Please let me just take a look" she pleaded " Thank you for making my afternoon
interesting, I'll take my leave now" I said as I stood up and walked back to the hall leaving the nosy bitch
staring ha!!
