"Asa-kun, did you see where my mom went?" Miko asked curiously after returning to her room.
"Auntie Yotsuya seemed to have gone out, right?" Asa said vaguely, his peripheral vision subtly sweeping past the white skirt peeking out from under the bed.
"Honestly, Mom! She sends me on an errand, and then she disappears!"
"Those bags were so heavy; I really struggled to carry them!" Miko complained, collapsing onto her bed.
Under the bed, Touko, who was barely managing to hide, listened to Miko's words and felt a mix of annoyance and amusement. The bags were that heavy, and you still rushed back so fast… Touko complained internally. She had miscalculated on that point. It had directly resulted in her having to scramble and hide under her daughter's bed.
Anyone who didn't know would think I was stealing my own son-in-law…
The space under Miko's bed was not large; it could barely accommodate one person lying flat. And Touko's hips were naturally shapely, plus there were two other "mountains" (referring to her breasts) she had to account for when lying flat. This forced her to press against the bed frame above. The slightest movement risked making a sound.
"Huh, why does the bed feel like it's bulging here?" Miko keenly noticed something was amiss.
Touko's heart tightened upon hearing the words from above. This girl is usually so oblivious, but she gets sensitive at times like this…
Just as Miko hesitated about whether to lift the covers and look, Asa spoke up, rescuing the situation.
"You carried heavy things, oneechan, so it's probably just a muscle strain in your back giving you a false impression."
"Is that so?" Miko tilted her head, not dwelling on it further. "I'm going to the restroom first. Asa-kun, you keep playing on the computer." Miko got up and left, muttering about how her mother had promised a big dinner but had disappeared.
"Auntie Yotsuya, you can come out now," Asa whispered toward the bed bottom after Miko left the room.
He waited for a few seconds, but there was no movement. Then, Touko's slightly embarrassed voice came through.
"Asa-kun, pull Auntie out…"
With Asa's combined pulling and tugging, Touko managed to crawl out from underneath. She patted her skirt, relieved that she swept and mopped every day, or else her brand-new white dress would have been ruined.
To be in her own house and have to hide under the bed when her daughter walks in… what kind of situation is this?
However, Touko turned to look at the little shota beside her, her beautiful eyes softening with tenderness. Although it was a bit embarrassing, everything was worth it compared to the private time she got with Asa.
"Asa-kun, if you have the chance later, would you come over to Auntie's house more often for a massage?" Touko was completely unaware that her tone sounded exactly like that of an older man trying to lure little girls or boys.
Asa might be a little shota, but he was also an incubus!
"As long as Auntie enjoys it!"
The corners of Touko's mouth curved into a satisfied smile. She was already thinking about what excuse and what big meal to use to invite Asa over tomorrow.
"Asa-kun, you keep playing your game. Auntie is going to start making dinner now."
Touko had just turned around when Asa's voice sounded from behind her.
"Auntie, there's some water stain under the bed; you should change your clothes…"
A white skirt shows dirt most easily, and even the slightest smudge on it quickly forms a noticeable mark.
Touko looked down upon hearing his words.
A deep red blush instantly covered her exquisitely made-up, charming face. Too ashamed to meet the little shota's eyes, Touko quickly hurried back to her own room.
She changed into a set of casual home clothes. Her hand rested on her chest, feeling her rapidly beating heart. The memory of her time alone with Asa was still fresh. The scene would appear in her mind the moment she closed her eyes.
Touko took a deep breath and returned to the kitchen to start dinner.
A few minutes later.
When Miko came out of the restroom and saw her mother in the kitchen, she immediately complained, "Mom, where did you go just now? Also, why did you make me buy so many ingredients?"
After their usual mother-daughter banter, Miko returned to her room, hugged Asa, and continued playing the game.
Soon, in the party chat:
The temperamental girl who had been temporarily teamed up with them started yelling again.
"Healer, I've tolerated you for too long!"
"You didn't move at all just now, and now you're casting spells randomly!"
"If you have Parkinson's, go get treatment immediately!"
"Say something!"
"Are you scared to answer me?!"
Watching the Healer on the computer screen spaz out, moving erratically and casting spells randomly, she even suspected the player was deliberately trying to annoy her.
"If we lose this time too, humanity might as well just go extinct!" The girl's voice grew increasingly exasperated.
Miko bit her cherry lip, listening to the girl's furious rant. She really wanted to reply to her teammate.
But she was afraid her voice would come out strange if she opened her mouth. Moreover, she couldn't control the control inputs—it was a physical reflex she couldn't stop!
Just then, Touko's voice suddenly called from outside the room.
"Miko, take this trash out!"
Miko was about to get up but was pressed back down by Asa.
"I'll go take it out."
"Yotsuya-nee, finish this match first, or your teammate will really go crazy." Asa removed his hand from Miko. He had already messed up the opposing girl once; doing it again felt a little too mean.
With that, Asa scurried to the kitchen.
"Auntie Yotsuya, I'll take it out!"
"No, let that girl Miko…" Touko's eyebrows arched slightly, but before she could finish, Asa had already picked up the trash and run out.
Helpless, she could only say, "Just dump it in the recycling bins at the end of the road."
Asa quickly finished disposing of the trash. Just as he was about to return to the Yotsuya house, he was stopped by a voice calling out in surprise.
"Asa-kun?"
Asa turned his head. He saw a beautiful woman in a white T-shirt and jeans looking at him in astonishment.
"Auntie Sawamura?"
"It really is Asa-kun! I knew there couldn't be another little shota this cute anywhere!"
With that, Mrs. Sawamura (Sayuri) already reached out and pulled Asa into her house.
"Asa-kun, what are you doing here?"
"I came to visit Yotsuya-nee."
Yotsuya? The next-door neighbor! Mrs. Sawamura was surprised by the news. She hadn't expected Asa to show up at her place this way.
Asa was also surprised. He looked at the few unopened cardboard boxes still in the room and asked, deep in thought, "Auntie Sawamura, did you just move here?"
"Asa-kun is so smart!" Sayuri gently tapped Asa's nose with her slender finger.
She then spoke with some melancholy. "The house Auntie lived in before was damaged by a Monster attack; most of it was ruined. We'll be living here until it's repaired."
This kind of situation was relatively common in this world, and the fact that there were no casualties was a blessing.
Asa nodded, stating indignantly, "The Monsters are truly too much! They will definitely face justice!"
Sayuri smiled warmly, gently rubbing Asa's head. She said, "I'm going to wash some grapes…"
Grapes again? Asa's expression faltered slightly. He was about to refuse when he heard Sayuri continue.
"Eriri is upstairs on the second floor. Asa-kun, you can go find her and play."
At this, Asa became interested. He wanted to see how far Eriri's doujin creation had progressed.
Eriri's room was easy to find; a Q-style head portrait was hanging directly on the door. Walking up to the door, Asa grasped the doorknob. He could vaguely hear a muffled, suppressed sound coming from inside.
Click!
Asa turned the doorknob and gently pushed the door open.
"Eriri-nee…"
Asa's voice had barely begun when he saw Eriri inside, her pretty face flushed crimson, using a red pill.
Their eyes met, their gazes locking, and for a moment, the air and the atmosphere solidified.
