"Leil!" A soft voice coming from behind, A voice from a woman.
I looked back and my expectation hurts me that time.
It was a call from Eunice.
I don't instantly look at her, but the white ribbon from Zia's head caught my attention—it was beautiful but it's not that, she didn't reached out for me, instead she walks pass by me also without any single glance.
"Hey, what are you looking at?" Eunice snapped and raising one hmof her eyebrows.
She follow my eyes and said the words that made my mood bad.
"You're looking to that rat again," She said.
I can't hold back my words, I left and Ezekiel and Eunice in that place and walk as fast as I could.
"Hey, Leil!" Ezekiel's voice was calling me from behind but because of what Eunice's words turn my mood, I couldn't help but to walk away.
I can hear footsteps following me—It was strange and a bit slow I know that's not Ezekiel.
I looked behind and saw Zia. She's kinda hurry and when I was about to talk
"Zi..." she walked without any single glance.
My heart ache, her eyes didn't met mine this time, her voice and even her smile I didn't even see.
I just continue walking following her steps, I didn't noticed I was in different building.
"Leil!" Someone calls from the other building.
I saw Ezekiel and that woman again—Eunice.
And that's when I realize I was cooked and in the building of HUMSS students. I walk fast as I could to go to my respective building.
I can feel my cheeks turning red as the studnets from HUMSS department looks at me with confusion. I heard some of them gossiping.
"Why Solleil is here?" Someone said from the crowd.
I couldn't look back because of the shyness. I reached the stairs from our building.
"What have gotten to you Leil?" Eunice ask
I didn't dare to look at her—nor response to her question. I can only feel the angry feeling I have for her. Too early in the morning to tell such things about Zia.
I walk towards our classroom and everyone can feel my mood, everyone just shuts their mouths and the room was filled with silence.
No one dare to talk—nor look at me. I can hear the sounds of the fans and the wind coming from outside. The greetings of other sections to their first period. Our teacher came in—Ms. Fernandez with her student-teacher—Ms. Klarissa.
"Woah, looks like your president is not on her mood that's why all of you are quiet, Is it?" Ms. Fernandez said while looking at me.
You know she's been acting so weird lately, being talkative and smiley.
"Oh by the way, Soleil this is Ms. Villafuerte, my student-teacher," She said looking at me directly, I look at the woman's eye, she's pretty no wonder why Ms. Feenandez can't resist such a beautiful woman.
I stood up and everyone stand up as I did.
"Good morning Ms. Fernandez, Good morning Ms. Villafuerte" I sat down and I heard my classmate do the same.
I sat there looking at the HUMSS building, I can't imagine a day without seeing her smile.
I didn't noticed how really fast time is, It was recess.
"Hey cous, Are you going to stay at the canteen?" Ezekiel asks, his eyes is sparkling like a little kid. I couldn't help but to just go with him after what happened on the bus earlier today.
We go to the canteen, I've been craving for a turon so I decided to bought one. Through the canteen I can hear the students different voices. But there's one that stands out—Zia's voice.
I can't help but look around to find where that voice coming from, then I saw her—with her bestfriend.
Our eyes met, I noticed how her smile faded away and her eyes lost its bright.
She looks away, So do I.
I gasped as my cousin Ezekiel tap my shoulder.
"I bought some food, Do you like some?" He said, his eyes was glittering.
Oh man, my cousin never been sweet like this.
"Sure," I said showing a faint smile.
I saw Zia and her friend leaving so I grabbed Ezekiel's hand and rush outside to catch up with them.
"Leil wait!" Ezekiel screams
That time I never care about what he feels, all I know is I need to follow Zia.
As we followed them, I can sense Eunice somewhere, But I didn't dare to look at her.
I saw Zia sat on a bench near the canteen, she keeps on talking and I saw one of the tables empty and quickly got there.
I can sense the eyes of her friends as they look at me with a weird look, I couldn't help but to look away.
Ezekiel keeps on eating his foods, so do I.
Zia is yapping and I couldn't help but smile on how she talks and yaps with her friends. But not long after that my adviser called me.
My phone rings and it was loud I couldn't help but grab Ezekiel and leave the bench immediately.
I answered the call.
"Solleil, Can you go at my faculty and get my charger? I'm here at HUMSS-B," Ms. Mortez said, My face expression quickly changed.
Why the hell she calls me just for a charger??!
"Alright, I'll be heading there soon ma'am," I said and walking right to her faculty.
"I don't think I'll go with you cous, I guess I better go at our room," Ezekiel said showing a teasing smile and without a word from me—he left without no trace.
I went to her faculty and walks toward her desk, her desk was filled with a bunch of paper works, but I never touched or even look at what's the content of those papers.
I saw the charger and closed the door.
Outside, students are already gone looks like the class was starting.
I came into the HUMSS building, as I walk through the aisle, I can feel the eyes of every student as I walk towards the door of HUMSS B.
My eyes widened and couldn't talk when I got there.
The students were chattering and the crowds went wild when I came in, It turns out that..
