Chapter 23 - Noble Emperor

The so-called Noble Emperor, a 120,000-dollars monthly membership.

Honestly? Pretty useless.

All it did was give you a flashy entrance effect when you entered a livestream room, highlight your comments so everyone could see them, and make you look "important."

Sure, the female streamers might glance at you differently...

But was that really worth 120,000 dollars?

Aiden James couldn't help but smirk.

Spending that kind of money just to look more "prestigious"? How ridiculous.

He'd even heard stories of accountants embezzling company funds just to shower gifts on female streamers, millions of dollars gone, all for vanity.

Some of them even ended up in prison.

"Idiots," Aiden muttered to himself. "If you've got money, fine. But if you don't, and you're still pretending… you deserve what's coming."

And then, he did the exact same thing.

He upgraded to Noble Emperor.

But hey, it wasn't his money.

It was his Engagement System Fund, earned through the mysterious system.

He could spend it however he wanted.

> [MiaStar, did you really send me a private message?]

"I'll go check!" Aiden typed in the chat.

He opened his inbox and scrolled through dozens of DMs before finally spotting MiaStar's.

Sure enough, she'd sent her WeChat ID.

Without hesitation, he copied and added her.

Then he waited.

One minute. Two. Five.

No response.

So, he went back to the livestream.

Aiden (as OneOfAll): "MiaStar, I added you on WeChat, accept it!"

MiaStar: "Okay, Brother OneOfAll!"

A few moments later, ding! She accepted the request.

Aiden: "MiaStar, how about I treat you to dinner?"

MiaStar: "Dinner? I usually host a fan meet-up once a month in New York, California. OneOfAll, where are you from?"

Aiden: "Manhattan."

MiaStar: "Oh! That's not far, just a two-hour flight. Are you coming to see me?"

Aiden: "No time."

Truth be told, he wasn't interested in joining a crowded fan meeting.

If he was going to meet her, it'd be privately.

MiaStar: "Haha, a busy man like you must have a full schedule! But the TikTok Carnival is happening in Manhattan next month. We could meet there!"

> [Hah! Carnival, huh? Sounds like someone wants a rocket, MiaStar!]

[Every Carnival is just another excuse to milk the rich guys.]

[Brother OneOfAll, since you're here, how about sending a rocket before you leave?]

MiaStar: "Wow! Thank you, Brother OneOfAll, for the Super Rocket! Love you~ pat pat!"

Of course, Aiden didn't stop at one.

He sent one hundred Super Rockets in a row.

The entire chat went berserk.

> [A HUNDRED?!]

[He's insane!]

[The Emperor lives up to his name!]

When his TikTok Coins ran out, Aiden finally stopped.

Not because he wanted to, because he literally couldn't continue.

"Damn," he grumbled. "These recharge limits are pathetic. Why can't I just top up a hundred million at once?"

Half an hour later, he logged in again, fully recharged and ready.

But this time, he didn't open MiaStar's stream.

Because someone new had gone live.

Beatrice, a popular dance streamer.

She could do it all, traditional Chinese dance, modern, even K-pop choreography.

Cute face. Killer body. A solid 8 out of 10 on looks, but 10 out of 10 on talent.

She already had millions of fans.

> [Wait, what?! Boss OneOfAll is in Beatrice's room now?]

[Bro, didn't you just drop 100 rockets for MiaStar? Are you two-timing streamers now?!]

Aiden smirked.

"I just came to watch the dance," he said to himself.

But deep down, he knew he was about to cause another storm.

> [Welcome, Mr. James!]

[Welcome, Mr. James!]

[Mr. James, you just sent MiaStar a hundred Super Rockets, how about showing some love to Beatrice too?]

[Mr. James, don't be shy! A hundred Rockets to start, right?]

[Mr. James, what do you do for a living? Can I work for you?]

The moment Aiden James entered Beatrice's livestream, the chat exploded.

Fans of female streamers were a restless breed, always drifting from one room to another, always chasing excitement.

And now, Aiden James was the name on everyone's lips across TikTok.

"Wow! Mr. James is here! Welcome, welcome!"

Beatrice greeted him warmly, her face lighting up under the soft studio lights.

The chat was still going wild, baiting him to spend.

Aiden didn't respond.

He simply sent one message.

> "Beatrice, what's your top ranking? I'll beat it in one second."

The entire room went silent for a heartbeat, then detonated.

> [Holy crap! He's doing it again!]

[Mr. James, calm down! You're scaring the rich!]

[I just checked, Beatrice number one is 18 million coins! Her top boss is Dragon Emperor! You're challenging him?!]

[Dragon Emperor's a level 120 boss, owns multiple agencies, and rumor says he's a shareholder in River Group!]

[Mr. James, play if you want but don't mess with the number one spot, man!]

And then,

A golden Super Rocket burst from the bottom of the screen.

Then another.

And another.

Hundreds. Thousands. Tens of thousands.

For two full hours, the rockets rained nonstop.

From the very first one to the twenty thousandth, the barrage never slowed.

Beatrice's livestream numbers exploded, soaring from two million viewers to an astronomical four billion.

The entire TikTok platform was on fire.

Even Beatrice herself froze, her jaw dropping, unable to process what was happening.

Eighty percent of the platform's total traffic had flooded into her room.

> [I'm numb… I'm numb!]

[Mr. James, you're insane! Are you trying to buy the app?!]

[Bro, are you sick or just rich?]

[Dad, if you've got money to waste, I'll be your son!]

Meanwhile, over in MiaStar's room, the mood had shifted.

Her chat was suddenly quiet, eerily quiet.

On the public feed, the endless golden fireworks from Beatrice's stream reflected back in her eyes, each one a sharp sting of regret.

Had she said something wrong?

Aiden had invited her to dinner earlier. She'd hesitated, declined, even, softly deflecting by suggesting a fan meeting instead.

It wasn't that she didn't want to meet him.

She just couldn't agree so openly in front of her fans.

After all, most of them were "husband fans."

She couldn't risk breaking the illusion.

But now… watching Beatrice's meteoric rise, the regret hit her like a wave.

Aiden wasn't an ordinary fan.

He was a whale, the kind who could change a streamer's fate with a single mood swing.

And she, she had just turned him down.

"Mr. James…" MiaStar murmured to herself, her smile trembling as another explosion of golden rockets lit up Beatrice's name at the top of the trending charts.

"Maybe I really shouldn't have said no…"
