Chapter 8 - King of Rockets

The only downside was, getting a woman like that in real life was nearly impossible.

And outsmarting her? Even harder.

After all, she was a big-time streamer, pulling in millions every month.

There were countless rich men fawning over her, showering her with gifts.

A guy tossing around a few thousand dollars wasn't going to move her heart.

Aiden James leaned back in his chair, a sly smile curling his lips.

"Well," he muttered, "guess I'll just outsmart her first. If I can."

He typed into the live chat:

[Miastar, be my girlfriend. I'll take you to number one.]

The comment drew instant attention.

[Hahaha! A level 3 rookie trying to flirt with the queen? If you actually take her to number one, I'll eat shit live on stream!] a moderator taunted.

[Bro, do you even know what you're saying? Miastar all-time number one fan dropped over nine million RMB. You can't even break the weekly charts, let alone overall!]

[Forget it, rookie. Save your lunch money.]

Aiden smirked and clicked recharge.

A glowing rocket shot up on-screen.

Then another.

Then another.

The stream filled with light and color, the screen trembling from the barrage of animations.

"Whoa! Thank you, OneOfAll , for the Super Rocket!" Miastar gasped, her sweet voice rising with excitement.

But it didn't stop.

Rocket after rocket blasted upward, ten, twenty, fifty, a hundred.

Each Super Rocket was worth two thousand dollars.

Within minutes, Aiden had fired a hundred of them.

Even Miastar, who'd seen her share of rich patrons, was stunned.

This wasn't some guild sponsor faking generosity for views, this was a solo player, and he was mercilessly rich.

The chat exploded.

[This guy's insane!]

[A hundred rockets? That's two hundred grand!]

[I told you, don't underestimate level 3 players!]

[Someone get this man a crown!]

But Aiden wasn't done.

"Oh, you want fireworks?" he murmured. "Let's give them fireworks."

Across the entire Shark Live platform, every single livestream filled with notifications, Super Rocket gifted by OneOfAll,

Super Rocket gifted by OneOfAll.

It went on for thirty straight minutes.

Five thousand rockets in total.

Ten million dollars.

Every major anchor, gamer, and beauty streamer stopped mid-broadcast to watch the storm unfold.

"Holy crap!" one League of Legends streamer shouted. "This guy just broke the platform record!"

"Two billion views in an hour!" another yelled.

The streamer rankings flipped upside down, Miastar shot straight to the top.

On the leaderboard, OneOfAll now sat as the number one patron across the entire platform.

From level 3 to level 120 in half an hour.

Miastar stared at her screen, completely speechless.

Her hands trembled slightly as she leaned toward the camera, her face bathed in the neon glow of virtual fireworks.

"Thank you, Brother OneOfAll," she whispered. "For… for the five thousand rockets. What dance do you want to see?"

She waited.

Silence.

"Brother OneOfAll? Want to add me on WeChat? Maybe chat privately backstage?"

Nothing.

Because Aiden had fallen asleep.

He was exhausted.

After hours of walking around with Ivy Mae, then spending thirty minutes clicking rockets, his hands were practically cramping.

He didn't even see the flood of private messages pouring in from Miastarand from dozens of other streamers too.

By morning, OneOfAll had become a legend.

Every streamer knew his name.

Every gossip account posted about him.

One headline read:

> "Breaking News: The Most Generous Donor in History! 'OneOfAll' Drops 5,000 Super Rockets in 30 Minutes - $10 Million in Gifts!"

The story hit trending overnight.

Lightning flashed outside Aiden's apartment window as a thunderstorm rolled through Manhattan.

By dawn, the sky was clear again.

A crisp Monday morning.

Aiden didn't even bother checking his livestream notifications.

He grabbed his backpack and headed for his university's open elective class.

Normally, attendance was low for that class.

But this Monday was different.

Zoe Quinn, the most stunning girl in the NYU Arts Department, was going to be there.

Every guy on campus knew it.

The dorm was in chaos.

Even his roommates, who could sleep through an earthquake, were up early and washing their hair in cold water.

"Yo, Aiden, hurry up!" said Jason, his second roommate. "Zoe Quinn's gonna be in class today!"

"Damn, man, I get nervous just looking at her!" Ryan, the third roommate, was adjusting his hair in the mirror, adding extra hairspray.

"Relax," said the eldest, Daniel, pretending to be calm while buttoning his shirt with shaking hands. "You two look desperate. A real man stays cool."

Aiden just smiled faintly.

"Cool, huh?" he muttered. "Guess we'll see about that."
