Jin was not allowed to turn himself in right away. Instead, everyone spent the next two days having fun and enjoying each other's company. There were laughs, good-natured fights, lots of video games, and even forgiveness.
Jin had sat down with his grandmother and had a heart-to-heart with her.
"Grandma, I'm going to be honest with you. I still resent you for leaving me, and that pain won't go away at all. I know you did what you thought was best, but I was still hurt in the end. However, you were a victim as much as I was, and you also suffered as much as I did."
"No, no, don't say that. You were only a child, and I was the adult. We may have lost our family, but it was my responsibility to take you in, and I didn't. So your pain is greater than my own."
