Chapter 154 - Chapter 154: Twenty-Four Generals (Part 2)

As they spoke, the time reached eleven at night, and a piercing alarm suddenly blared across the Kingdom of Fiore, like a sharp sword tearing through the night's tranquility.

"Beep!"

"Beep-beep!"

"Beep-beep-beep!"

The ear-splitting alarm woke everyone who was resting between shifts.

Erza's team, who had been chatting and laughing, instantly grew serious.

A golden light flashed in Loki's dark eyes, "That sound is…"

Erza looked towards the center of their encampment, where a giant platform stood, estimated to be at least a hundred meters high.

On top of the platform was a Magic Council staff member holding a crystal ball the size of a human head, from which the piercing alarm sound was emanating.

The Council staff member shouted loudly towards below the platform, his voice amplified by magic!

"Report! The sensory magic array within the Kingdom has sent a message: spatial fluctuations have appeared in multiple locations!"

Under the amplification magic, the guild members surrounding the platform, as well as the various Royal Army units and the Magic Council's enforcement team, all entered a state of alert.

Below the platform were aged and dignified faces.

Makarov, the Guild Master of Fairy Tail.

Bob, the Guild Master of Blue Pegasus.

Goldmine, the Guild Master of Quattro Cerberus.

Ooba, the Guild Master of Lamia Scale.

Jose, the Guild Master of Phantom Lord.

Four old generals of the Kingdom, clad in silver armor.

Agema, the Sixth Seat of the Magic Council.

Several elders sat below the platform, their expressions solemn, like unmoving mountains, seemingly oblivious to the news from above.

On the platform, the crystal ball in the staff member's hand suddenly glowed brightly, and a projected map of the Kingdom of Fiore appeared in the sky.

The cities within the Kingdom were visible at a glance.

On this projected map, near twenty-four of these cities, a black and white energy vortex appeared, each initially only fist-sized, but then rapidly expanding against the wind, growing to three meters in height.

These vortices emitted spatial fluctuations and appeared in different locations.

Some appeared exactly in the center of a city, some outside a city, some in the sky above a city… And as these 24 black and white energy vortices gradually stabilized, from within them, White Rat People surged out like a tide—their bodies snow-white, humanoid but with rat heads, and covered in white rat fur!

These White Rat People were about 1.5 meters tall, holding two black iron serrated short swords, their human-like yet rat-like faces ferocious, as they bared their mouths, howled, and charged with extreme speed.

Closely following them were Black Pig People, nearly two meters tall, robust, covered in black bristles, with pig heads and human bodies, wielding half-human-height black iron spiked clubs.

These guys were far more violent and less disciplined than the White Rat People.

The White Rat People at least charged in teams, but most of these Black Pig People, who appeared immediately after, acted independently, with only a few forming small teams of two or three.

Wielding their huge, heavy spiked clubs, the Black Pig People rampaged, destroying everything in their sight.

Their footsteps and roars shattered the tranquility of the night.

The citizens' originally peaceful lives were instantly shattered, filled with terror, as screams and cries intertwined, forming a chaotic symphony.

At the encampment, everyone who witnessed this through the projection magic grew solemn.

"The enemy has indeed changed their battle plan." Agema of the Magic Council remained calm, only raising his eyebrows slightly as he looked at his old friend Makarov, "It's up to you all."

"Everyone! Proceed according to the original plan!" Makarov, wearing his white cloak, with the golden Fairy Tail emblem on his back shimmering, glared and roared loudly, "Ezreal!"

"Here!" A clear and gentle voice sounded, followed by golden energy particles abruptly appearing below the platform, beside Makarov, condensing into a human form, transforming into Ezreal.

Ezreal stood beside Makarov, his expression stern, his hands clasped together, and white fluorescent light glowed in his eyes; bright white light, combined with golden light, burst forth from his hands.

The white and golden lights intertwined, instantly reaching a dazzling intensity, and then the light flashed and vanished. Ezreal suddenly spread his palms, and with himself as the center, twenty-four deep blue energy vortices appeared out of thin air around him.

The edges of these blue energy vortices were golden, rotating clockwise, and the blue in the very center of the vortex was exceptionally deep.

After completing all this, Ezreal's forehead was slightly beaded with sweat. He looked at Makarov and the others, "The Hex Portals are set up. Teleportation requires a large amount of magic power. Please, everyone!"

Everyone nodded. Makarov was the first to step forward, the air around him vibrated, and extremely powerful golden magic power erupted from his slender body, transforming into a golden pillar of light that shot into the sky.

The heavy magical pressure made both the air and the ground tremble.

Makarov's eyes turned pure gold, his cloak fluttered and flapped behind him, and he spread his hands. The surging golden magic power from his body, like a tide crashing down from the sky, began to flow towards the twenty-four Hex Portals around him.

Those portals, which had been slowly rotating clockwise, now spun like mad, their rotation speed like an electric fan.

Following Makarov's actions, the other Guild Masters and Magic Council members all unleashed their magic power. The vast and majestic magic power caused the air to emit an ear-splitting cracking sound, and the ground, frozen like steel in the winter, developed fine, spiderweb-like cracks.

Golden, white, blue, red, dark green… various magic powers intertwined like a rainbow, flowing into the surrounding twenty-four Hex Portals.

"What astonishing magic power!"

"I've never seen such immense magic power in my life!"

"As expected of the Guild Masters, this amount of magic power is simply exaggerated!"

The guild members and soldiers around the encampment stared dumbfounded at the massive amount of magic power in the field.

Even among the younger generation of Fairy Tail, many looked with wide, surprised eyes at Makarov, who was unleashing golden magic power like a sea, and were astonished.

Many in the guild were seeing the usually jovial old man giving his all for the first time.

Agema of the Magic Council, while releasing magic power, shouted at the top of his lungs, "Everyone! Enter the portals! Fight with all your might!"

"Yes!"

The guild members and Royal Army soldiers all responded loudly. The Mages were the fastest, taking the lead, rushing into the portals and disappearing.

Ezreal, while recovering his magic power, watched the Mages rushing into the portals; many faces were familiar.

Jura Neekis, the only S-Class Mage of Lamia Scale, and one of the Ten Wizard Saints.

Ichiya Vandalay Kotobuki, the leader of Blue Pegasus's younger generation.

Bacchus Groh, an S-Class Mage of Quattro Cerberus.

Ezreal saw many familiar faces that appeared in the original anime during the Grand Magic Games.

The Mages orderly stepped into the portals, their figures instantly disappearing, and in a blink of an eye, they appeared in the cities invaded by the Orc Soldiers.
