Chapter 41 - Chapter 41 Akabane Maou

They were six giant wolf-demons, at least two meters tall and nearly five meters long!

Six purple giant wolves, with a pair of crimson wings on their backs, had shoulder heights of two meters. Raising their massive wolf heads, they reached nearly two and a half meters, and were currently obediently crouched on the ground.

Their wings were seventy percent similar to those of a Crimson Raptor, but more robust and powerful.

Each wolf's eyes were an eerie green, and the tips of their four claws were sharp and pointed like eagle talons, looking more like ten short knives growing from their limbs.

Ezreal slowly opened his eyes, lowered his hands, and looked at the newly modified Summoned Beast.

It was a wolf-type demon beast, refined by fusing the Crimson Raptor and the Shadow Wolf.

Ezreal named it the Crimson Feathered Demon Wolf.

Taking a few steps forward, Ezreal placed his hand on the back of one of the Crimson Feathered Demon Wolves, sensing the magic power within the newborn Demon Wolf.

"Very good. Twelve Crimson Raptors perfectly fused with the Shadow Wolf. Their strength is at the level of a C+ Class monster," Ezreal said, retracting his hand with satisfaction, then gave an order.

"Show me your new abilities."

The six Crimson Feathered Demon Wolves crouched on all fours, their crimson wings spread. A red light flashed across their wings, and dozens of sharp red feathers, burning with flames, shot out.

The flaming feathers, about fifty centimeters long and shaped like short swords, almost instantly struck a tree over a dozen meters away. The feathers pierced straight through the towering tree, continuing to fly backward, successively piercing seven or eight ancient trees, each thick enough for three people to embrace, before dissipating into a burst of fire.

After the flaming feathers dissipated, the six Crimson Feathered Demon Wolves simultaneously opened their mouths again. A tiny crimson flame ignited in each of their mouths. The flames grew with the wind, almost instantly expanding to the size of a basketball.

The six Demon Wolves exhaled sharply, and six crimson fireballs shot out, flying into the forest.

The trees, already pierced by the flaming feathers, suffered again. The six seemingly small crimson fireballs, however, carried a powerful explosive effect.

Upon touching the bark of the trees, they immediately exploded. The intense explosion instantly cleared a forest area with a diameter of over ten meters. All trees, grass, and stones were incinerated by the high-temperature flames, leaving the ground scorched black.

Having completed all this, the six Demon Wolves spread their wings, flapped them gently, and flew directly into the air.

The six Demon Wolves flew into the sky, their crimson wings fully spread to a length of nearly five meters. Their flight speed was even more astonishing, resembling crimson-purple specters in the night sky.

Ezreal estimated the Crimson Feathered Demon Wolf's speed to be close to 150 mph, faster than cars speeding on a highway.

As they flew, crimson flames began to burn on the feathers of the six Demon Wolves. The bright fiery feathers illuminated the night sky, and their speed instantly doubled.

At such a speed, Ezreal could barely see anything but afterimages with his naked eye.

"Alright, it has integrated the fireball magic of the Crimson Raptor, with explosive properties. The power is good, approaching the level of B-Class magic."

"It gained a flaming feather attack magic, with a standard C-Class power. And an acceleration magic that can cover its wings with flames to double its speed."

"From its current performance, its actual combat strength is even above that of the Marsh Frog." Ezreal was very satisfied with the performance of the six Demon Wolves.

With a wave of his hand, the six Crimson Feathered Demon Wolves immediately stopped, extinguished the flames on their wings, and slowly landed on the ground.

Ezreal leaped onto one of the Demon Wolves.

The Crimson Feathered Demon Wolf was enormous; after mounting it, Ezreal could even lie completely on its back. And once on its back, he realized that the Demon Wolf's fur emitted a faint warmth, like an electric blanket.

He lightly patted the wolf's head, and the giant Demon Wolf beneath him immediately understood, spread its wings, and carried Ezreal straight into the clouds.

Riding on the back of the Crimson Feathered Demon Wolf, Ezreal felt the scenery on both sides rapidly receding, and the strong wind in his face forced him to squint.

After flying a few circles in the air, thoroughly experiencing the Demon Wolf's speed, Ezreal happily controlled the Demon Wolf to land. Then, with a wave of his hand, the figures of the six Demon Wolves slowly faded until they disappeared, returning to the Canyon.

"Although it was a last resort for the journey to the Asgard Mountains, the Crimson Feathered Demon Wolf's strength is indeed impressive."

"In the future, I can develop them in this direction. It would be best to find some powerful aquatic magical beasts to increase their underwater breathing and combat capabilities, making them more versatile." Ezreal glanced at the clearing just blasted open by the Crimson Feathered Demon Wolf's fireballs. A golden light flashed in his eyes, and the crimson flames still burning on the ground were silently extinguished.

After eliminating the hidden danger of the burning forest, a thoughtful expression flashed in Ezreal's eyes.

Fusing the Shadow Wolf and the Crimson Raptor was not Ezreal's original development path, but in terms of combat power, the unmodified Ancient Krugs and these two types of wild monsters could not play any role in combat.

Their magic power was low, their abilities were singular, and they had no potential for growth.

Without modification through Life Alchemy, they would be practically useless in real combat in a dangerous place like the Asgard Mountains.

Only the Marsh Frog was barely sufficient.

Therefore, modification and enhancement were urgently needed!

The two groups of Ancient Krugs were completely unusable without modification, utterly useless. After modification, their strength indeed significantly increased.

After absorbing the Canyon melee minions, they gained a humanoid form, with enhanced movement speed, attack power, and defense. Their splitting magic also improved, with nine split bodies plus the main body equivalent to ten lives, making them quite good front-line tanks.

As for the fusion of the Shadow Wolf and the Crimson Raptor, this was Ezreal's last resort for the journey to the Asgard Mountains, according to his original plan.

Ezreal had intended to develop the Shadow Wolf into a semi-tank warrior, increasing its melee capabilities, supplemented by some dark magic or blood magic to enhance control and recovery, thus perfecting its combat system.

The Crimson Raptor, on the other hand, was destined for a Mage route, integrating some magical beasts skilled in long-range magic or fast-flying magical beasts to increase its mobility and long-range aerial strike capabilities.

It would perform air-to-ground strikes, evading most damage with its astonishing flight speed, serving as a high-altitude magic artillery platform.

Finally, adding the Marsh Frog, the modification and enhancement of this poisonous toad were planned to cultivate it as a Mage-tank that applies negative effects to enemies.

He would increase the Marsh Frog's defense and various negative magic spells, such as paralysis, weakness, slowness, and stun, to help other Summoned Beasts weaken enemies, thereby achieving victory more easily in battle.

If his plan progressed, once he completed these enhancements, he alone, with these wild monsters, would be enough to enter the S-Class Mage ranks of the guild.

As long as his opponent wasn't a cheater, any ordinary Mage facing him would surely meet their demise.

However, the imminent journey to the Asgard Mountains forced him to temporarily change his plans.

He had to temporarily fuse the Shadow Wolf pack and the Crimson Raptor to boost their combat power first.

If this trip went smoothly and he could obtain magic-sealing stone materials to enhance the Red and Blue Warriors, he would separate these two types of wild monsters upon his return.
