Cai Die pursed her lips. Her soft gaze swept over the three Dou Wangs ahead, a bit hesitant. She felt these three weren't all that strong. What if she accidentally killed them?
She had never liked killing—she preferred reasoning over violence.
Thinking this, she turned to Yao Yan and asked, "Young Master, can we not fight? I'm afraid I might overdo it... What if we just talk to them? Maybe they'll listen?"
Why does she sound so sweet while saying such threatening things? Is this what they call a hidden menace in disguise?
Yao Yan almost couldn't hold back his laughter but merely nodded and floated aside, indicating she could proceed.
With his approval, Cai Die's confidence soared. But just as she was about to speak, she noticed the faces of the three men were not looking pleasant at all—especially the elder, whose eyes now glinted with murderous intent.

Elder Jia now held a communication jade in his hand, which he crushed after speaking. At the same time, he unleashed a surge of peak Nine-Star Dou Wang Dou Qi. His previously calm expression turned sharp and cold as his gaze locked onto Cai Die and Yao Yan.

Yao Yan had been watching with amusement, but hearing Elder Jia call for backup didn't faze him—until he heard two very familiar names. He turned his gaze toward the two middle-aged men.

"Attack!"
Elder Jia roared. He wasn't fooled by Yao Yan's Da Dou Shi-level aura. The youth's attitude said it all. A Da Dou Shi facing three Dou Wangs shouldn't be this calm—especially one moving that fast.
Nalan Jie and Xiao Lin didn't need to be told. Both erupted with Dou Qi—one a Six-Star Dou Wang, the other a Seven-Star. Their strength was no joke.

Elder Jia silently activated his technique. His hands formed seals, and a massive earthy-yellow circular shield materialized in front of the trio.

In the blink of an eye, Yao Yan arrived and didn't dodge. Before the trio's stunned eyes, his arm turned bronze, flecked with silver light, and he punched the shield with full force.
The terrifying impact shattered the technique entirely—one that had previously blocked a Xuan-rank attack from a Three-Star Dou Huang!
The three were wide-eyed in disbelief. Elder Jia's shield had once withstood a Dou Huang's strike—yet it shattered instantly?
But reality was cruel. Yao Yan didn't pause—he followed up with a kick that sent Elder Jia flying, tumbling hundreds of meters through the air.
And it got worse.
With perfect timing, Cai Die erupted with her Seven-Star Dou Huang aura. Without hesitation, she unleashed a devastating Dou Technique. A massive ghostly blue serpent appeared in midair and lunged at Elder Jia before he could recover.
Nalan Jie and Xiao Lin froze. They hadn't expected Yao Yan to be so terrifying, nor for Queen Medusa to be so ruthless—just like the rumors!
Gone was the gentleness and charm from earlier.
But there was no time to hesitate. Yao Yan launched two punches at them from a distance. The force transformed into air cannons, blasting both of them from the sky.
BOOM!
In the sky above, the ghostly serpent bit into Elder Jia—and exploded. A violent burst of energy dyed the sky purple and blue.
It was dazzling.
