Chapter 27 - Aiden's Milestones

Zita and Eryndor were completely smitten with Aiden, watching him grow and hit milestone after milestone. They marveled at his first smile, his first laugh, and his first steps, capturing every moment in their hearts and in photos.

As Aiden turned one, Zita and Eryndor threw a grand party, inviting the entire kingdom. The palace gardens were filled with balloons, laughter, and the sweet scent of treats made just for Aiden. He toddled around, charming everyone with his curiosity and giggles, stopping occasionally to hug his parents tightly.

The king and queen adored their grandson, spoiling him with toys and stories, and playing with him whenever they could. Zita and Eryndor balanced parenting with their royal duties, making sure Aiden was always loved and cared for, and teaching him about the kingdom and its people.

Aiden loved listening to stories about the kingdom's history, and he would gaze wide-eyed at the pictures in the big books Eryndor read to him. He was learning to talk, and his first words included "Mama," "Papa," and "Gampa" – the king's favorite nickname.

One evening, as they put Aiden to bed, Eryndor turned to Zita and said, "He's growing up so fast. I can barely keep up!"

Zita smiled, snuggling into Eryndor's side in their cozy nursery chair. "We'll cherish every moment, together. He's our little miracle."

Eryndor nodded, his eyes soft with love. "I feel like we're doing something right, raising him in this kingdom we love."

Zita leaned her head on his shoulder. "We are. And he'll make his own mark on the kingdom someday."

Aiden's milestones brought the kingdom joy, and Zita and Eryndor felt grateful for their little family.

As they turned off the lights and headed to their own bedroom, Zita turned to Eryndor and whispered, "I love our life."

Eryndor smiled, pulling her close. "Me too. With you, with Aiden... it's all I need.".
