Silence shrouded the room as there wasn't anyone who could refute. Without sparing us a glance, she continued, her voice chilling with every syllable.
"He stood on stage and announced that our marriage agreement ended because I was unfaithful… You supported him."
I could feel my father drawing in a sharp breath, his jaw tight. A familiar reaction whenever he felt guilty yet wouldn't admit it.
