Chapter 22 - 22. I’m a farmer—that’s what carrying a load feels like.

[Mission Objective: Study together with Eriko]

[Progress: 20/20]

[Ding dong!]

[Congratulations! You've completed the mission.]

"Finally, it's over… ( '-ωก̀ )"

After finishing the last pose with Eriko, Flo let out a long sigh of relief.

She then took off the bunny ears from her head.

"Eriko… was that fun?" Flo couldn't help but ask.

Just moments ago, Eriko had made Flo wear a black reverse bunny-girl outfit, leaning against a pole, while Eriko herself sat on the sofa in an elegant tailcoat, munching on snacks and watching Flo dance.

What kind of weird play was this?!

Besides, Flo had absolutely no idea how to do that kind of dancing!

She kept tripping over herself and bumping her head on the pole—it happened all the time!

"Of course! It was very enjoyable," Eriko nodded earnestly.

"Where's the enjoyment?! I kept falling down… My poor bunnies are all bruised red now…"

"That *is* the enjoyment."

"…Huh?"

Flo still had no clue what Eriko's tastes even were.

But she knew it was time to head back.

"Life Points."

[10 points deducted. 7 days of life extended.]

[Remaining lifespan: 8 days]

[Points balance: 1,410]

This was already the second time Flo had spent Life Points since coming to Eriko's house.

Unconsciously, she'd already spent more than half a month here.

She'd done everything she needed to do—and even things she really shouldn't have…

It was time to go back to her sister and Nikorimu.

"What even *is* this outfit? Why did you wrap cling film around my chest?!"

Flo stared incredulously at the reverse bunny-girl costume Eriko had prepared for her.

On Flo's ample bosom, only two tiny ribbons covered her pink peaks—everything else was completely exposed.

And Eriko had thoughtfully wrapped cling film around them.

Flo had no idea what purpose that served, but it was seriously uncomfortable!

"Ehyu!"

After tearing off the cling film, Flo's "bunnies" bounced a few times.

She then went to change clothes.

When she left the room, she was back in her usual little dress, the golden tentacle pendant hanging neatly on her chest—everything ready.

"Well then, see you next time, Eriko!" Flo headed toward the door.

But Eriko stood right in front of her.

"Ahhh…"

Flo sighed as if she'd expected this all along.

Then she asked,

"Eriko… are you coming back with me?"

"I'm not going to that bad woman's house," Eriko flatly refused.

Now Flo understood what she meant.

"Come on, Eriko! You can't just keep me locked up in your house forever!" Flo placed her hands on her hips.

Eriko couldn't keep acting so selfishly—Flo even suspected that on the first day of school, Eriko still wouldn't let her leave.

But Flo guessed wrong.

"No, I never said I'd lock you up here," Eriko replied.

"Then what do you want?" Flo asked.

"Let's duel. If you win, you can leave," Eriko said.

"…Don't be ridiculous!"

Even with the power of the Golden Tentacle, defeating Eriko would be incredibly difficult!

Even if she won, it'd be a Pyrrhic victory—and Flo wasn't about to risk that.

But Eriko shook her head. "I don't mean fighting."

Flo: "Then what do you mean?"

Eriko: "Rock, Paper, Scissors."

Flo: "…Rock, Paper, Scissors? What's the point of a game that's pure luck?!"

Eriko: "That's precisely what tests true skill. The rules are simple: whoever 'goes' first loses. Understood?"

Flo rubbed her forehead. "Ugh, fine, fine… I'll play with you."

She didn't even know how to begin complaining—choosing such a childish game for a duel? Eriko really hadn't grown up at all.

"...Wait a second?!"

Flo's eyes suddenly widened.

Had she missed something important?!

"You just said… whoever 'goes' first loses?!" Flo asked in disbelief.

And Eriko, expressionless, pulled out two pink, wire-connected, remote-controlled modern electronic devices.

"Whoever goes first loses. You've already agreed to the duel, Flo-lo," Eriko repeated.

Her tone left no room for Flo to back out.

Flo: =͟͟͞͞(꒪ᗜ꒪ ‧̣̥̇)

Oh no… It's *adult* Rock, Paper, Scissors.

♡♡♡

"Hey, Eriko… can we just call a truce?"

"At a time like this? Flo-lo, are you joking?"

Flo and Eriko sat face-to-face, each holding a remote controller.

The wires from the remotes led to tiny, undetectable "caves" on each other's bodies.

"Round one!"

Flo: Scissors

Eriko: Rock

"I win," Eriko declared, then pressed the button.

Flo was turned up to Level 1.

Eriko figured that was enough to claim victory.

After spending these past few days together, she knew Flo absolutely couldn't handle even Level 1!

…but Flo's reaction surprised her.

"Let's go for round two, Eriko," Flo said casually, as if nothing had happened.

"?"

"What's wrong, Eriko? Thinking of surrendering already?"

"Don't be silly—let's continue!"

Round two.

Flo: Scissors

Eriko: Paper

This time, Eriko got turned up to Level 1.

But with her formidable inner strength, her expression remained unchanged.

Round three.

Flo: Scissors

Eriko: Rock

"You only know how to throw scissors, dummy," Eriko teased, then cranked it up to Level 2.

There's no way Flo could endure this!

"Haaaah… I'm so sleepy, Eriko. Hurry up so we can finish and go to bed," Flo yawned, showing no other reaction.

Eriko: "???"

This… this wasn't right! It shouldn't be like this!

Round four.

Flo: Paper

Eriko: Rock

This time, Eriko fell for it—expecting scissors again, she was caught off guard.

Flo turned her up to Level 2.

"Mmmph…"

The sudden intensity made Eriko lose control for a moment, letting out a soft sound.

"Oh dear, is Eriko already done for?" Flo chuckled lightly.

"…Keep going!" Eriko bit her lip and insisted.

♡♡♡

Round fourteen.

Flo: Rock

Eriko: Scissors

"I win again~" Flo smiled, still completely composed.

Meanwhile, Eriko was curled up into a trembling ball.

Flo turned it all the way up to Level 9!

"Kyaaa—nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

Eriko's body convulsed violently before collapsing limply onto Flo.

"What a shame, Eriko—you have to honor the bet," Flo said gently, holding Eriko close and stroking her hair.

Then she switched off both remotes.

"Mmmph…"

Defeated, Eriko's face was filled with bitter disappointment.

She still couldn't understand—why had Flo suddenly become so strong? Had she been pretending all along?!

"Well, I'm off now, Eriko-chan~ Don't forget to change your panties later," Flo whispered, planting a soft kiss on Eriko's forehead before leaving.

Eriko remained lost in the agony of defeat, pondering the meaning of her life… no, the meaning of her *tentacle* existence.

Sadly, she failed to notice the faint golden glow shimmering around Flo during their duel.
