Chapter 125 - Chapter 124 : Uzumaki Bloodline

Plus, she had that special technique allowing her to transform into any age version of herself....not an illusion, but real physical transformation.

Just thinking about that tipped the scales of his heart entirely toward her.

Still unwilling to give up, Arata asked,

"Is there truly no alternative?"

The Third Hokage shook his head, tone heavy.

Unless I die first, and Jiraiya goes to persuade her afterward, that's the only situation where she might return to take up the Hokage role."

Arata rubbed his forehead helplessly.

Troublesome.

He had hoped to lure Tsunade back easily and claim her for himself.

But the world gave out nothing for free. If he wanted something valuable, he would have to go get it personally.

Since the Hokage had no solution, Arata didn't blame him.

Instead, he asked,

"Do you at least know where she is now?"

Of course the Hokage knew.

Konoha's intelligence network spanned the entire shinobi world.

And ever since Danzo had been forced into full intel-sharing, the Hokage's information dominance was absolute.

Tsunade wasn't even hiding....she wandered openly, not as a fugitive. With such a recognizable appearance, it was natural the Hokage knew her location.

Arata checked the coordinates.

As expected....Tanzaku Town, the gambling capital of the ninja world.

He should have guessed.

Wherever there was gambling, Tsunade's shadow would appear.

Thanks to her legendary lack of luck, she had long earned the infamous title..."The Legendary Sucker."

It was only because she was the Senju princess and one of the Sannin that she could sustain her endless gambling debts.

They had piled so high that she even invented a technique to transform across ages just to escape debt collectors.

After receiving her location, Arata excused himself.

No need to rush yet.

He would wait until Shisui and Itachi were safely away.

He had other tasks anyway.

The clearing of the new Uchiha District was almost finished....soon he would need to go construct the homes with Wood Release.

And in a few days, when Uzumaki Xinglin fully recovered, he would gather Naruto, Karin , and her mother to copy the Uzumaki bloodline from them.

So for now....he could relax a little.

Leaving the Hokage Building, Arata looked up.

It was noon already...no wonder he felt hungry.

He paused rather than heading straight home.

After a moment's thought, he turned toward Uzuki Yugao's house.

He had only recently made that little girl his own.

If he didn't visit her today, she wouldn't complain outwardly, but she would definitely feel insecure.

Sure enough....before he even reached her house, he saw Yugao leaning on the second-floor windowsill, staring blankly into the distance.

Arata couldn't help smiling and shaking his head.

That little girl…

Had she really been waiting since morning?

Uchiha Arata spotted Uzuki Yugao leaning against her second–floor window, staring blankly at the passing villagers.

Even her beautiful purple high ponytail looked a little droopy, as if she was just waiting for time to move.

While Arata stood across the street smiling at her, Yugao suddenly lifted her head....as though sensing his presence.

Her eyes brightened instantly when she saw him standing there.

Without hesitation, she pressed her hands against the windowsill and jumped cleanly from the second floor.

Two light steps later, she was right in front of Arata, her eyes shining with excitement as she looked at the man she adored.

Arata couldn't suppress his smile. "Have you eaten lunch yet? Want to come with me?"

Yugao's eyes curved into crescents. "Not yet! I know an amazing place.

I'll take you."

She linked her arm with Arata's without hesitation.

Arata gently tapped her head. "Aren't you going to tell your family first? Go on, I'll wait."

Only then did Yugao realize she had forgotten. She dashed back inside like a purple...haired gust of wind, her ponytail bouncing wildly.

A moment later, after a flurry of muffled conversation, she came running out again and grabbed Arata's arm, practically dragging him forward.

The whole walk, Yugao chirped nonstop....jokes, rumors, strange stories, random thoughts.

It was like she had an infinite supply of words reserved just for him.

Before either realized it, they had eaten, wandered the village streets, and talked away the afternoon.

When they finally glanced at the sky, it had already grown dark.
