Chapter 12 - Chapter 11 : The Uchiha Tradition

The Grand Elder looked at him, as if recalling long-forgotten memories.

Then he examined Arata's Mangekyo Sharingan.

His normally stern face softened into a smile of satisfaction.

"You will, Arata. You are still young. At your age, Madara hadn't awakened his Mangekyo yet.

If you work hard, you can become the next Madara Uchiha....or even surpass him."

Arata knew that with the help of his system, surpassing Madara was only a matter of time. Still, hearing such encouragement from the Grand Elder stirred an indescribable emotion within him.

Sitting by the table, the Grand Elder's expression shifted several times as if recalling something, before finally settling into serious contemplation. His voice, when he spoke, was unusually stern.

"Uchiha Arata!"

Seeing the elder's face, Arata realized this was a matter of great importance. He straightened immediately, matching the elder's serious tone.

"Yes, Grand Elder. What orders do you have?"

The Grand Elder adjusted his posture. "I, Uchiha Ryo, in my capacity as Grand Elder of the Uchiha, swear to you: from this day forward, as long as you do not betray our clan, I will fully support you and help you become the leader of the Uchiha." He spoke each word deliberately, with unyielding weight.

Arata was stunned. I haven't even used Kotoamatsukami yet… how did the Grand Elder come to this decision?

The Grand Elder noticed his astonishment and allowed a slight smile.

"Arata, you underestimate the power of our Mangekyo Sharingan.

Do you know how precious it is to our clan? It's not just a symbol of strength....it represents potential, the power to grow into a true master. It also signifies the purity of our bloodline.

Anyone who awakens the Mangekyo is not only talented and gifted but also among the purest in the Uchiha clan.

Anyone who can awaken it has the potential to contend for clan leadership and is destined to guide our people toward glory."

Arata was indeed taken aback. Although he had seen the original records, much of the Uchiha history had been lost, and the clan had endured countless hardships.

Naturally, some knowledge had survived.

After absorbing the Grand Elder's words, Arata noticed the elder's expectant gaze. He felt a spark within him.

"Grand Elder, if I have certain requests… could you fulfill them?"

The Grand Elder laughed heartily. "Are you asking for restraint over the clan, to reduce conflict with the village? Even if you didn't say it, I would do so."

Seeing Arata's puzzled expression, he continued:

"Times have changed. Now that your Mangekyo Sharingan has just awakened, your strength will experience a period of explosive growth.

The Mangekyo is far more than just enhanced chakra and perception.

Each Mangekyo contains a unique dōjutsu, often surpassing ninjutsu in power or presenting unpredictable abilities.

The most formidable techniques can even manipulate space and time. Without an extraordinary kekkei genkai, these abilities are unbeatable.

Of course, the ultimate goal of the Mangekyo is to develop its divine power—Susanoo."

Hearing this, Arata saw the Grand Elder's face flush with fervor, as if Susanoo were the very center of his existence.

The Grand Elder gazed at him:

"Susanoo....the ultimate Mangekyo dōjutsu of the Uchiha. In his time, Lord Madara perfected Susanoo to the fourth stage, matching Hashirama, the so-called God of Shinobi.

These coming years will be your period of explosive growth. In a few years, your dōjutsu will be fully mastered.

Once you have fully developed Susanoo, no one in Konoha will be able to match you.

That is when our Uchiha clan will rise again."

Arata inwardly felt the weight of the Grand Elder's expectations.

Clearly, he had to exert himself, mastering Susanoo quickly to achieve a qualitative leap in strength.

Judging by the situation, it seemed Fugaku hadn't informed the Grand Elder of his Mangekyo awakening.

Otherwise, Ryo would have supported him earlier instead of standing in opposition.

Seeing the elder's determined attitude, Arata felt reassured. Uchiha Ryo had been unexpectedly won over.

He not only had the elder's support but also saved a "Kotoamatsukami" for later.

Now, he could visit Clan Head Uchiha Fugaku. As head of the Uchiha and father of Itachi and Sasuke, Fugaku must have awakened the Mangekyo as well...but Arata needed to be extremely careful.

After bidding farewell to the Grand Elder, Arata headed directly toward the center of the Uchiha estate.

As clan head, Fugaku naturally resided in the central, largest mansion.

The Uchiha estate was not vast. Arata arrived quickly.

Because he had spent some time with the Grand Elder, it was already late when he reached the clan head's courtyard.

The courtyard was dark—Fugaku had already retired for the night.

I haven't slept yet. How could you sleep so early? Arata thought to himself.

Skillfully scaling the gate, he stood in the courtyard and spoke softly:
