You are me, my big apple.
"Hello, who is this?"
"Master, don't hang up. It's me, Huo Lazi."
"Oh, it's you. What's up?"
"Master, are you free tonight? I'd like to invite you to dinner. I have something to ask."
"No time."
Xia Tian hung up again.
"Ahem." Xue Chuan, sitting in the corner, coughed lightly. "Today's dinner is to apologize to Team Leader Ye. I was wrong to say what I did last time."
After hearing Xue Chuan's words, everyone remembered why they were there in the first place.
Boom boom boom!
"Come in."
"Excuse me, could you please switch to another private room?" The hotel manager opened the door.
"Why should we? We haven't even started eating yet," Xue Chuan said, frowning. This was the best private room in the restaurant.
"I'm terribly sorry, but someone has specifically requested this room."
"Then just tell them it's already occupied," Xue Chuan said impatiently.
"I'm really sorry, sir. Those people are… difficult to deal with. We can't afford to offend them. Could you please be understanding?"
"Sister Kiss, let's just change rooms," Ye Qingxue said softly, seeing that the manager truly looked troubled.
"They're hard to deal with, so what? I'm not easy to deal with either." Huo Wen—known as the Fire Kiss Girl—rarely caused trouble, but when she did, it never stayed small.
"What's there to hesitate about? I want this room." Four idle-looking men walked in.
"Brother Li, I'm still negotiating, please wait a moment," the hotel manager said respectfully.
"What's there to negotiate?" Li San had barely finished his sentence when he noticed several women in the room. They were all stunning, the kind of beauty that could make any man lose composure.
"So many beauties—am I seeing things?"
"Third Brother, I see it too," said a yellow-haired man beside Li San.
"Third Brother, these women are top-tier. Even famous actresses can't compare," added a green-haired man.
Li San coughed lightly. "Well, they don't have to leave. We can just eat together. The meal's on me."
"Who do you think you are?" Huo Wen snapped, her tone sharp.
"Oh, fiery temper, I see." Li San smirked, but he had to admit—she was breathtaking.
"What are you staring at? Keep it up and I'll gouge your eyes out," Huo Wen barked angrily.
"I, Li San, don't scare easily. You can try if you want. If you can beat me, I'll let you go. If not, you'll be drinking with me tonight."
Li San wasn't an ordinary thug. The reason the manager feared him was because he'd already beaten up several people in this very restaurant and had a vicious reputation.
Although he'd been taken away a few times, he was always released quickly.
This was his favorite restaurant. Over time, all the staff had come to recognize him—and fear him.
"I'm going to tear your filthy mouth apart today," Huo Wen said furiously. No one had ever dared speak to her like that.
"Beating means love, scolding means affection. Come on then," Li San said shamelessly.
"Fine." Huo Wen took out her phone, truly enraged now.
"Calling the police?" Li San wasn't about to let go of such rare beauties. Once the police came, he'd have to leave.
He lunged forward, snatched the phone from Huo Wen's hand, and threw it to the floor.
"Give me back my phone!" Huo Wen wasn't calling the police—she was calling for help.
"Brother Li, please, don't make this worse. I'll have them move right away," the manager pleaded, knowing Li San's temper. Just a few days ago, two people had been hospitalized for offending him, and even then, they hadn't dared retaliate.
"Relax. I'm a law-abiding citizen. As long as they share a meal with me, we can forget the whole thing," Li San said coolly.
"Don't be so arrogant," Xue Chuan said, standing up. He hadn't acted earlier because he knew how powerful Huo Wen's connections were, but now that her phone was gone, she couldn't call for backup.
If the other side wanted to be this bold, he couldn't just sit back.
"Oh? Didn't expect a tough guy among you," Li San said with a mocking grin.
Xue Chuan pulled Huo Wen behind him. He was tall—taller than Li San by a head—and his imposing frame made him look intimidating.
"We were here first. We're not giving up the room, and we're not drinking with you," Xue Chuan said coldly.
Huo Wen glanced at Xia Tian. "Are you even a man? You won't stand up at a time like this?"
"It'd be nice if you weren't," Xia Tian said lazily.
"You— you're not a man!" she shouted angrily.
"You haven't seen for yourself, so how would you know?"
Only then did Li San notice Xia Tian in the room. Seeing that he wasn't intervening, Li San smiled in satisfaction before turning back to Xue Chuan. "And what if I insist they drink with me?"
"Then go ahead and try," Xue Chuan said, stepping forward.
Li San smirked and suddenly kicked Xue Chuan in the stomach. Xue Chuan bent over in pain, and Li San grabbed a stool, smashing it over his back with precision and force.
"Xue Chuan!!" Tang Yan and Huo Wen rushed to help him.
"Hmph, big guy—but not good at fighting," Li San sneered.
"Brother Li, please, I'll treat you today, alright? Don't make a scene," the manager begged, stepping in when he saw someone get hurt.
"No. Even if the Jade Emperor himself came, it wouldn't change a thing," Li San said arrogantly.
"You'll regret this," Huo Wen hissed. Xue Chuan struggled to stand, his strong physique the only reason he wasn't half-dead from that blow.
"No one who can make me regret has been born yet," Li San replied.
"Do you need help?" Xia Tian asked, smiling faintly at Huo Wen.
"Whether you help or not, it's up to you," she glared back.
"Forget it then," Xia Tian said lightly.
"You—"
"Xia Tian, please don't make this difficult. Huo Wen's always been good to me," Ye Qingxue said softly, knowing full well what Xia Tian was capable of.
"Alright, since you've asked, I'll do as you say," Xia Tian nodded, then began walking toward the gang slowly.
"You brat, are you looking for trouble?" Li San snarled.
"What did you say?"
"Are you deaf or just stupid?" Li San spat viciously.
