Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Big Gains, The Adventure Begins

By the harbor, in the shallow sea.

"What... what was that?" A player asked, unable to stop himself from swallowing hard.

"It's... it's George!" The speaker was priestNikita, a former member of Magic Eye Elden.

"Is it really George? Did you see right? Was it an NPC from the Peacekeeper Office?" A shocked voice came from another former member of Elden — assassins Carol.

They were players George had spared after killing Magic Eye Elden, and they had even fought with George to kill the tree spirits.

"What... what kind of skill was that? Is that a skill you'd see in a starter village?"

"George... is he playing the same game as us?"

...

[Ding! Congratulations, Host! You have slain the Black Dwarf King. Reward: Fire Crystal, Water Crystal, Dwarves King's Iron Hammer, Divine and Demon Bloodline. Acquired Skill: Crystallization Art!]

[Double System activated successfully. Host receives: Thunder Crystal, Ice Crystal Stone, Dwarves King's Iron Hammer (enhanced). Acquired Skill: Crystallization Art!]

[Dwarves King's Iron Hammer (enhanced): No level restrictions. When equipped, it increases the host's attack by 250-300 points. Every three consecutive hits, it releases a Berserk Dragon Flame or Frost Storm! Berserk Dragon Flame: Increases attack to 450-500 for 0.5 seconds; Frost Storm: Freezes the opponent for 0.5 seconds, no mana cost!]

[Crystallization Art: After killing an enemy, the host can absorb the magical energy in the enemy and restore Crystal energy!]

Restore Crystal energy...

When George saw this description, his eyes immediately lit up.

This wasn't a combat skill, but it was even better than a combat skill!

He had used up 1/3 of his Holy Crystal energy, 1/2 of his Dark Crystal energy, and 1/5 of his Mana Crystal energy during the battle with the Black Dwarf King.

Crystal energy couldn't be fully restored. Once you used it, it was gone.

He only got Thunder Crystal and Ice Crystal Stone from killing the Black Dwarf King. This fight... he had lost a lot.

But with Crystallization Art, even if he had no other rewards, he had still made a big gain.

George laughed.

Those stunned Dwarves NPCs were no longer enemies — they were just resources to restore his Crystal energy.

George put the Crystals away, grabbed the Dwarves King's Iron Hammer, and let out an excited shout as he ran toward the Dwarves.

Dragon fire roared, and icy storms swept up!

George moved like a storm — unstoppable, destroying everything in his path.

[Ding...]

[Ding...]

The system kept giving alerts, and George kept killing.

Crystallization Art was active. Holy Crystal and Mana Crystal greedily absorbed energy, restoring the Crystal.

George left Ceylon City, and by the time he reached the edge, his Holy Crystal and Mana Crystal were completely full.

Dark Crystal... got almost no energy back.

These Dwarves didn't carry energy that Dark Crystal needed.

He chased them all the way to the Dwarves' base. The Dwarves shut the stone door tight, and only then did George walk back to the city, carrying the Iron Hammer like it was nothing.

Other players had also returned to the city. None dared to go past the Peacekeeper Office. They just watched from a distance, staring at George in shock.

"Captain!" When he entered the Peacekeeper Office, Dorothy ran into George's arms, crying happy tears.

"Don't cry!" George smiled, wiping the tears with his thumb. "Your water is all mine."

Dorothy turned red in the face, nodding shyly, happy and flustered.

"Sophia couldn't help but blush when she heard that. She thought about the scene where she was naked and being dragged by him, and how his hand had touched her in that way. She shook her head hard, then stared at George and asked, "How... how did you do it?"

"What do you mean, how did I do it?" George smiled and asked.

"Crystal!" Sophia got impatient and stomped her foot. "Only mages can use Crystal energy. You can use it, and why can you use so many types?"

"Want to know?" George smiled.

"Yeah!" Sophia nodded quickly.

"What will you trade?" George smiled, looking her up and down.

"You..." Sophia was angry. "I just helped you!"

"You came to kill me. I didn't kill you. That's a life-saving act, right? You just helped me a little. Is that enough to pay me back for saving your life?" George smiled. "Once you finish repaying me, I might tell you."

George stepped forward, patted Sophia on the shoulder, and walked toward the golden door that appeared.

...

"Little George, you did great!" Louise flew on her broom, kissed George on the cheek, and said, "We don't have enemies anymore. Let's go. Right now!"

She grabbed George and ran toward the golden door.

"Right now?" George asked.

"What else? Are you not ready to leave this place?" Louise asked while looking back.

George wasn't really sad to leave. But he had been a peacekeeper before, and he hadn't explored the map around Cologne Island much. After Sophia came, he found out that the underground of the North was a battlefield between gods and demons.

He knew that the dungeon of the god and demon battlefield wouldn't be open now. But he still wanted to check it out first. "Why are you in such a hurry?"

"In a hurry? If you don't hurry, other players will take over the whole north. Then where will we be? Come on!" Louise didn't let him say anything and dragged George through the golden door.

"By the way, the ship..."

"It's already at the port. Come on!" Louise said impatiently while riding the broom.

At the Peacekeeper Office, Sophia and Dorothy were both seeing Louise for the first time. They were so shocked that they grabbed George's ears and couldn't move.

"Come on!" George pulled his ears and told them.

"If you don't come in one minute, I'll leave without you!" Louise shouted, then flew away on her broom like a flash of light.

George had no choice but to pick up Dorothy and Sophia with one hand each and run toward the port.

"George, are there still dangers?"

"George, what's going on?"

"George…"

On both sides of the street, players were stepping aside while shouting questions.

If George was running, that meant something even bigger had appeared, right?

"Play well and protect Cologne Island. I'll come back!"

George's voice echoed through the street. He himself had already jumped high into the air and landed with a loud thud on the deck.

Boom!

Louise hit George on the head with her broom. "Watch out, if the ship breaks, you pay for it!"

She didn't even wait for George and the two others. She flew around the ship, then landed on the lookout deck, staring at the endless sea. Her round, baby-fat cheeks showed a smile. She waved her broom and said, "Set sail!"

No sails, but the ship made a dragon's roar sound and started moving with a deep roar.

"This... this is Dragon Roar, this is a Dragon Bone ship!" Sophia was shocked and said, "Dragons really exist!"

George and Dorothy were also stunned.

"Dragon Bone? Are you sure?" George asked.

The Dragon Bone of the ship was something George had taken from the Dwarves, and Dorothy was there too.

Dragon Bone is a term used for building ships, right? When did it get connected to real dragons?

"I'm sure!" Sophia said seriously, "When my team and the guild leaders went on an adventure, we entered an ancient church dungeon. They called it Dragon Bone there, and my Cross Slash skill came from that dungeon!"

George and Dorothy looked at each other.

Real dragons...

"Are there no other Dwarves' caves?" George asked again.

"Absolutely not!" Sophia said, "Cologne Island is close to the North Pole. It really is different from other beginner villages!"

"Louise!" George shouted up.

Suddenly, mist appeared, covering the three of them and the whole big ship.

Then, words appeared in front of George's eyes:

"Congratulations, true Peacekeeper Office hero. You have used your power to defeat the demon forces of Cologne Island. This represents the awakening of divine power. Cologne Island will slowly be integrated into the big world, connecting to the North Pole. We hope that when you return, you can truly help the gods defeat those undead demons, and let the light of the gods shine over the entire land!"

"Go, hero. Your real adventure has begun!"

As the words disappeared, the mist also vanished.

The endless sea was gone. In front of them was a small but busy dock, with people walking quickly.

"Little George, what's wrong?" Louise landed on her broom, smiling, "Our ship is fast, right?"

"Dragon Bone..."

"Wait, hold on! Speed up!" Louise shouted, flew back to the lookout, and sped up the ship. In a moment, the big ship safely docked.

"George, hurry, my dear sister is in danger!" Louise landed and called out anxiously, grabbed George, and put him on her broom.

The broom flew quickly, leaving Dorothy and Sophia behind as it flew toward a big castle near the port.
