Chapter 6 - Bathhouse and Stop

Sekai, Ninya, and Fury have reached the western tower. (It would've taken them 3 days, but due to Sekai pausing time, he made it, so his time wasn't wasted. As they enter, they come across a bathhouse with statues of people. "Wow, I'd say this is very detailed," Sekai started, as he looked at a statue of a male wearing armor. "However, maybe there's a bit of foul play?"

"I heard stories, the Western tower was popular, so well-known it was a resort showcase." Like a museum resort? Sekai pondered. "They had rooms, such as the one we entered. Looks akin to a meeting point, right?"

Yes. Just like the lobbies look at our hotels. Sekai kept thinking. Ninya added her own input. "Right. The hot water had a calming effect to help weary travelers rest and relax. I know where it is. Follow!" She chirped.

They headed to what Sekai would call an Onsen* (Hot-tub, Jacuzzi, etc.). "Ok, now I know something is up." Sekai was shocked by what he saw. "I mean, why would a sculptor chisel statues going in the water and sitting in the water!"

Fury stated there was a type of monster that could apparently turn people to stone. Seksi immediately thought of two options. "We're either against a lady with snakes as heads, Medusa as we call it, or... a basilisk."

"Doesn't the basilisk have a snake's head too?" Ninya asked. "Sometimes. Basilisks in games come in many forms, but it's not what it looks like that deters me; it's what it does." "So this is why they forbid the entrance to the tower." Fury mused as Sekai was getting busy, rubbing each of the statues' boobs.

Ninya looked at a wall, "The men's bath is this way." "Thanks, but I don't give a flying flamingo!" Fury then said something she's kept to herself but has known for a while. "Sekai, since you can stop time, why don't you head up these stairs?

"Yes, but this doesn't seem like a one-person job. And I definitely will fail trying to pull a cart with two innate teammates up a huge flight of stairs. What I need is a porter. Something that can transport you both to the top of the tower as time is stopped."

"Aren't you the only one that can move if time is stopped?" Fury asked. "Well, I thought so, but let's say I summoned magic and stopped time, would my magic stop in midair?"

"How would I know?" Fury asked. "I know. Since it's using my mana, it can't possibly be stopped, as my body would also have to be stopped in that theory." Sekai paused as Fury caught on. "When I subjugated goblins, my MP went from 0 to 10/10. Even though time was paused, everything that had anything to do with me still moved as time wasn't stopped, be it my health, level, mana, and stamina."

"In short, with enough practice, I can memorize magic. And there's one spell I definitely know will come in handy...your GOLEM TRANSMUTATION spell. With that, he can lift us, like an elevator to floors, as I rest with time paused, and if trained well, I don't see why he can't do other stuff."

"I told you before that it is impossible for you." Sekai heard her words. "Yes, it was impossible before, but now, with 30 mana, I should be ok." He paused again. "The night after I exterminated goblins, I had asked for the incantation, but you said it was impossible because I needed Earth affinity, and the only way to get that was by the Goddess. Something that takes 3 years."

Sekai continued, "Yes, and I needed to wait for the Church to open so I could pray to the Goddess in a slim hope of her accepting me." He pulls out a scroll. "But it's different now. With this, I have everything I need to get the Spell. I won't lie; it took me a long time to translate this." Fury gazed at the scroll. "That's the Entoura Scripture."

Ninya praised Sekai for being so studious. "However, Sekai," Fury added, "Letters have no meaning off the words alone. So again, impossible." "Odd Fury, in the scroll, it says another user of the same affinity may bless someone else to get the affinity. Can you not do that?"

Fury looked at him in amazement, shock, and admiration. To know that, how did he... not only translate it, but it was also scrambled. He looks at me in my eyes, not the perverted way he was doing before. Sekai, when did you become so smart?

"Fine, Sekai. I will bless you. But remember it's the will of the Goddess. If she doesn't see you fit to have it, I won't be responsible for what she'll do." Sekai kneels before Fury. "At that time, you may laugh and switch sides."

Fury gave Sekai the Blessing. Sekai's hand glowed. "It seems not only you read the scripture scroll, but you understand the value, history, and the meaning?" Fury was beyond impressed. "I was ready to see the Goddess smite you where you stood."

Sekai put both his hands on the floor.

"ᛋᛖᚱᛁᚨ ᚹᛁᛋᛈᛖᚱᛋ ᛒᛖᚾᛖᚠᛁᛏ ᚦᚢᚾᛞᚱ ᛗᚨᚷᛁᚲ ᛈᛟᚹᛖᚱ ᚨᚹᚨᚲᛖᚾ ᛏᚺᛖ ᛋᛈᛁᚱᛁᛏᛋ ᛟᚠ ᚦᛖ ᚨᚾᚲᛁᛖᚾᛏ ᚹᛟᚱᛚᛞ ᛒᛖᚾᛞ ᛏᛟ ᛗᛁ ᚹᛁᛚᛚᚠᚱᛖᛃᚨ ᚲᚨᛚᛚ ᚦᛖ ᚹᛁᚾᛞᛋ ᛟᚠ ᚦᛖ ᚾᛟᚱᚦ ᚢᚾᛚᛖᚨᛋᚺ ᚦᛖ ᚠᛁᚱᛖ ᛟᚠ ᛋᚢᚾ ᛒᚱᛖᚨᚲ ᚦᛖ ᛋᚺᚨᚲᛚᛖᛋ ᛟᚠ ᛁᚲᛖ ᚱᛁᛋᛖ ᚦᛖ ᛏᛁᛞᛖ ᛟᚠ ᛗᛟᛟᚾᛚᛁᚷᚺᛏ!" Sekai said as the floor where his hands grasped glowed a bright white light.

Out popped a tiny, cute golem, as Sekai was amazed. "I did it! Ganichi, I am your master, so pick up that pebble-huh??" Sekai watched as his golem summon walked to Fury, awaiting orders. "Does it see the more powerful used as its master?" Fury chided. Then it suddenly fell, breaking apart. "No wait!" Sekai grumbled.

"Don't worry, as long as the magic core doesn't break, you can keep trying," Fury said, impressed that he was able even to make a small one. "Try again!"

"Yes... It seems that I am out of mana." Sekai sheepishly said. "That's why it died. The summon usually can stay alive until the mana drains out." Fury inputted. "So, it's all up to me, huh?" Sekai paused time again to train and let his mana refill."

Sekai did multiple attempts. First, we needed to see if he could summon during a time stop and if the golem could move simultaneously. As both were successful, Sekai trained in killing goblins and gaining mana.

There were many failed attempts, such as the golem lying down during its whole summoning time. Sekai still praised it, as it didn't break, realizing maybe his pronunciation is better. Other attempts had Gankichi trying to lift a rock, which was successful after 5 grueling days.

"Well done, Gankichi!" Sekai said as the golem high-fived him. "With this done, I wonder what else you can do!" After many trials and errors, Sekai had gotten the golem to do many different skills.

"COME FORTH, GOLEM-GANKICHI!" The golem was summoned once again, and Sekai was amazed. "Look, Fury Ninya, I summoned one that is under my control." After she congratulated him, Sekai paused time.

"Gankichi, carry these two ladies!" The golem rushed to Fury and lifted her skirt. "Wow, what speed. Did he do that cause I'd do that?" Golem easily lifted both of the ladies on his round, flat head as they traversed the towers.

"Haha, nice!" Sekai laughed. As they left, Sekai ran into a statue resembling the ones that block a ladder in L*g*nd *f Z*lda. "Oh boy, I know in a popular game not to use a sword on something like this. I don't have bombs, so I'll pass for now."

Sekai looked down, feeling an abnormality in the ground. "A trap. Gankichi, watch out for..." Sekai looked to talk to the golem, but it fell into a trap with the two frozen allies. Sekai rushed to make sure everyone was ok.

"Man, good thing there was water here, deep too. I have to somehow get my golem to recognize traps; if he breaks, I can't summon another for a long time." Sekai went back to the drawing board and planned how to raise Gankichi's intellect. It didn't take Sekai long to figure it out, as Gankichi had a slight lag pause after Sekai's commands.

Sekai paused time, allowing Gankichi to survey the area, spotting traps, and report back to him. As Gankichi found a route that was safe for now, Sekai would follow, and they'd repeat the process.

Seki mused how Gankichi survived with his mana output for 1-2 floors. After multiple traps and multiple golem revives, Sekai and his party are at the top of the tower.

"Where are we?" Ninya asked. "We're almost at the top, but I ran into a problem," Sekai replied, showing a toppled gargoyle and a locked door. "So first, I thought, breaking the gargoyle would have a key,"

Fury then interrupted, "A sword can't cut a gargoyle." "Yes, precisely, so I was to use a chisel; however, the stuff I chipped already gave me no inkling that there would be a key hidden, so look at its base. Doesn't it resemble a circular pedestal?"

Ninya called her team to her. "Look. this surface it's tilted up slightly. Maybe it has treasure?" Sekai looked at it. "Omg Ninya thanks!" Sekai then got the golem to put the gargoyle on the pressure switch, as it decompressed and opened the door.

Sekai hummed the door opening, humming the Puzzle Solved Jingle that is played when you jump on the block in Z*r*'s D*m**n. He then paused time and allowed Ganckichi to cook his teammates a meal.

Ninya was happy to finally eat and complimented Gankichi's cooking. They tried a food called curry, as Sekai explained that this food is common in his hometown. Sekai rambled how he had to explore town and try different herbs and spices, as none were named what they were in Japan.

Sekai joked that Gankichi reminds him of an automatic cooker in another world. Fury pulled him out of his thoughts. "Sekai, above us, I hear a giant bird flapping its wings."

Sekai noticed it too, which only meant one thing. The basilisk was the flying type. This is not called the basilisk then... It's a cockatrice! Sekai was not thinking of this monster, the one with a chicken's head, but it's a common monster in games.

As Seki went upstairs with his team, he got info from Fury. She said, "Do not resume time against this, its petrified breath will stop you..." Seki saw how high it was. "CROSS-SLASH!" Sekai tried doing one of Cl**d's limit breaks. "Well, it hit, but it did 0 damage."

Sekai and the golem went down to grab blocks and build a flight of stairs so Sekai could reach the cockatrice. So first the game was RPG, then Hack and slash, then puzzle, now it's M*n*cr*ft? Man, I'm a connoisseur of video games.

Sekai climbed the stairs, "Now, would slashing downwards kill it?" Sekai got close, raised his sword, and then suddenly, he started to be petrified. Crap! CRAP, CRAP, CRAP! Nobody wants to see the main character, the protagonist, the MC, DIE! Okay, some do, but they're weird.

As Sekai was slowly turning to stone, he thought about hitting the button, but didn't as there was nothing Ninya or Fury could do. Sekai thought about his past life, his crappy gaming/streaming life, and suddenly, he was back to normal.

"How, why?" Sekai wondered. "Where's the cockatrice? Wait, where's GANKICHI?" He looked off the edge of the tower to see the cockatrice, dead, bleeding, and stones on its body.

Sekai and teammates rushed to the ground floor. "GANKICHI No! He took the ultimate sacrifice and took out the boss because it couldn't be turned back into more stone. Considering the fall, it probably broke, along with the magic core.

Sekai tried summoning Gankichi, and inside the cockatrice's belly a light flashed. Fury safely extracted the magic core that composes Gankichi. Sekai summoned Gankichi and hugged him/

"Well done, Sekai, I can tell by the foot stomps that the bathhouse people have come back to normal," Ninya said. "What did you say??" Sekai had a look, no not the evil kind the perverted kind. PAUSE.

"Hold on girls! I'm COMING!"
