Chapter 6 - Chapter 5: Unknown Visitors

After an unknown amount of time, in a desolate forest somewhere, a dark black, round shell that gave off a deep aura frightened all the fierce beasts around. No one had dared to go within 10 feet of it for a very long time, and this was evident from the grass that had grown all around the shell, making it seem like it belonged in this forest. Because this place was a rather unique spot, no human had been here in so long either.

Soon, a crack appeared on this shell that had been untouched for a long time, and a domineering aura immediately spread out. All the birds within a certain range all took to the skies as the cracks began to grow more and more. Naturally, such phenomena would not go unnoticed.

A fair hand burst out of the top of the shell covered in a white sticky liquid. It quickly retreated and began to break the shell around it. Not long later, a humanoid figure emerged from the shell completely naked and looked around. Its eyes looked like it was just seeing the world for the very first time, and it was amazed.

However, rustling noises soon sounded, and the bushes and shrubs gave way to a small group of five, each clothed differently. They entered the scene and saw the figure staring at them with curious eyes.

"Wait, look. It's not human." One of the five, clothed in an overall garment with a hood, was about to go up to the naked figure before being stopped by a burly man among their team. Sure enough, the hooded figure looked carefully and saw two small black horns protruding from the head of the humanoid figure, so small that they were easy to miss.

"Yawn." The naked figure immediately closed its eyes for a few seconds and yawned, after which it opened its eyes again. This time, however, the horns had miraculously disappeared, and now he looked just like any other human. 'Why is everyone staring at me?' He looked around and saw people looking at him curiously, then looked at himself.

"Ahhhh." He seemed to have noticed his nakedness and quickly covered what was not meant to be seen. "What the hell are you all looking at? You've never seen a naked man before?" He screamed. The five people seemed to have finally noticed this as well, and three of them turned around. "Sorry, we didn't mean to stare." The burly man in the lead said, however, he was still staring straight at the naked figure. He dipped his hand in a bag and took out some clothes, handing them over.

"Thank you." The naked figure was naturally Theo. However, anyone who saw him before would find it hard to recognize him unless it was pointed out. He stood at six feet and two inches, a far cry from his very short appearance before, but he was not bulky in any way. His skin seemed to have a faint luster to it that attracted anyone, and his eyes—they had a deep black that could steal the light; staring into them would be like staring into space.

He quickly put on the clothes. Somehow they seemed to fit him, though he was sure this burly man was certainly not his size. He turned around and looked at the broken eggshells. Any part of this would be worth gold ten times its weight. The sticky white fluid would be even more expensive. He stared at it for a while, and it immediately disappeared into thin air.

"H-How did you do that?!" The burly man who saw this had his mouth agape in shock. His tone alerted the others, and they all turned around, and seeing that the naked person was already clothed, they heaved a sigh of relief. What they had been forced to see before was too much. However, they quickly adjusted themselves to the matter at hand.

"What was that, Garn?" The second man in this five-person team asked. He had been a little further away since he was keeping watch over the area while his friends plundered whatever goodies they found or found out what had caused such a disturbance earlier. He had immediately rushed here as soon as he heard Garn scream. His team leader, who he thought had seen the world, finally had his mouth in shock right now, so even he was curious to see what they had found.

"Hi, I'm Othello." Theo said, "I don't know what you all thought you saw, but there's nothing to see here, so I would really appreciate it if you guys could just make your way back how you came here." He had a smile on his face that could entrance even demons, making you think that there was no way someone so handsome could ever be wrong.

"Othello, is it?" The team leader stepped up to his position. He had arranged himself after that slight shock just now. What he saw he couldn't explain, so why not just ask the guy who knew? Anyway, he was one, and they were five, and there were no mana fluctuations coming off of him. What could he possibly do against them?

"What was that just now, and how did you make it disappear?" Garn asked, not too overbearingly nor in a friendly manner.

"I'd rather you mind your own business, thank you very much." Theo said. "Now, if there are no more questions, I would like to ask my own questions. None? Okay, good. First question, what is the date? Second question, where is the nearest town? Third, how close am I to the Capital? Also, do you guys have anything to eat on you? I'm feeling famished." He gave them no time to respond as he kept on rambling nonstop.

"Get him!" Garn had just started talking when the man previously keeping watch moved and approached Theo. From his speed, Theo could swear that he and those white-robed people were almost on the same level; however, he could see him moving as though he was watching a movie tape in slow motion. Every small movement was caught by his eyes. 'As expected, fusing with the dragon egg has made me stronger. Now, let me test this power of space. These unknown visitors should make the perfect test subjects.'
