"Keep pushing harder!" Gray said, clapping and shouting at the soldiers dressed in tight sports suits and running in circles on the large cornfield.
Dust swelled up every time boots slammed the ground and moved forward one after another. Different textures of skin passed—veined ones, hairy ones, and smooth-skinned ones—all moved past, shaking heavily and sweating.
One soldier remained in the lead, speeding up and throwing a challenge to the twenty-nine people behind him. Within five minutes, the one soldier dashed past them three times and halted, reaching the speed limit and finishing the race before time.
"How is that kid always beating us after training for two years? I know he was always at the top of all the recruitment training, but I wasn't expecting him to still lead us after training day and night," Oin said, rushing after Kai.
Though Oin was fast, he wasn't fast enough to catch up with the boy even when he exceeded the speed limit. Seeing how Oin ran, the other soldiers joined in, standing on their feet and increasing their speed limit as well, but not everyone managed to reach the final lap. Jinx stayed back, her huge breasts bouncing in her shirt, dangling around, and pulling her back.
Everyone stopped, poured themselves some water, and stared at her. Both men and women stared at her with delight in their eyes, but Kai didn't. He sighed when he noticed how enthused everyone was and turned to the blue metallic four-foot bucket.
Among the two-year recruits and the ten-year soldiers, Max stared at Jinx and imagined having her for his own on a bed, but shook his head after slightly gazing at the watch on his wrist.
'Damn it… I'm late today too,' his thoughts screamed as he dashed around the cornfield, moved to his car, and drove hastily without saying a word to the new lieutenant sent from headquarters and added to Gray to help train the new soldiers for the arising bandit attacks.
"Where is that corporal heading to?" Wang said, tapping on Gray's shoulder and pointing in the direction Max went, but stopped when he saw the silent look in Gray's eyes.
…
Green light lit the room, casting long shadows over the metal floor holding rows of heavy guns spread across steel tables that had their dark frames glinting faintly. Curtains flopped wildly as wind howled through the cracks in the tall windows, carrying the echo of emptiness from the land outside.
Dogs walked on the vast deserted land stretched endlessly, following the triangular shape of the building that stood at its center, then backed away whenever something flickered at the corners of the rotating turrets, bladed constructs, and the shimmering gun mounts that caught every flicker of light.
Around the vast land was a massive wall ten meters thick running across the wasteland. Men dressed in blue suits walked by slowly and carefully, scanning the area before moving to the next.
Car tires rumbled and halted at the very front of the wall on the other side, and within the car was a man dressed in a black hood and a white mask covering his face.
Pee. Pee. Pee.
He pressed on the horn button placed at the side of the screen, and within seconds, debris began falling from the wall, and from within the wall a ten-foot door appeared as a portion of the thick wall separated and entered into each other, making way for the car to enter.
…
"Should we wait for him to give us the information we need or continue with our meeting like we always do when he delays?" a man with blue hair and an ash-colored eye said, slamming his hand on the table before him as he looked at the faces of everyone seated in the great hall meant as a meeting point for all top unlawful citizens of Westeros.
"Keep a stop to that, Theo."
"Yeah! We're fed up with you. Stop telling us what to do. Do you think being the third son of the Storm family is a blessing? Let me tell you, that's a curse. You won't see it until it's too late," Kang said, silencing the noise from exploding into chaos.
Theo looked at them, smiled, and shook his head, then began laughing when he spotted the door opening. Everyone in the room stood up, greeting, as a man dressed in a white robe entered, wings spreading wide on his back, and blue glow seeping out of his eyes as he scanned and counted all fifty seats and walked toward them.
"WELCOME, LORD OSAI!"
They all shouted, raising their hands upward, hailing the winged man with blue eyes, and later took their seats back and began to brief him on the agenda for the day.
"Dad—sorry, master—our last operation was halted by a military group led by a six-year-old boy," Kang said, passing a sheet around and letting them see the images they captured during the operation.
"What the hell are you saying? Did you mention that a SIX-YEAR-OLD destroyed an entire army of seventy men? Don't fool us!" Theo said, shouting and clapping while looking at Kang's and Denis's faces.
"I knew you weren't good for this operation. I knew it would end up just like this. Father, have you seen what you called your best man?" he continued, standing from his seat and moving toward Lord Osai.
A burst of wind tore through the room as Osai turned and looked at Theo, who had now been blown to the wall, begging for his life.
"SHUT UP!" Osai said, turning his sharp gaze toward Kang and Denis, who now bowed, resisting to look directly into the eyes of their lord for failing him for the fourth time, and this time having been defeated completely by a mere child.
"Did you see the face of the child?" he said, jolting from his throne and hovering in the air, blowing all the sheets in the air and letting the room shimmer in a blinding blue light.
