"What?! Five thousand dollars!" Yeji shot up from her chair; it was like her ears were failing her. I nodded calmly. "Yes, and the payment is biweekly." I added half wanting to watch her next dramatic action.
She dropped back on the chair with a 'plop', her face devoid of the smile she had moments earlier when she asked me about my interview.
"Lee Sehyun, do you want to switch jobs?" She asked seriously, leaning over the table, eyes unreadable.
I shook my head, pushing hers back. "No, I'm content with mine. I haven't even begun working yet." I said with a half grin.
She was relentless. "Your boss doesn't want another part-timer?" She questioned further.
How was I to know?
As far as I know, the notice board wasn't up this morning when I passed. Perhaps they'd taken it down. "I have no idea," I replied in a more hushed tone than her once I noticed the weird glances occasionally thrown our way.
