"Lucian…"
I tried to push his head away from my chest, taking a shaky breath as my hands pressed weakly against his shoulders. "Can we stop for now?" I whispered, not because I didn't want him, but because my body was already exhausted.
This ridiculous draconis heat he had mentioned was no joke at all.
He really was losing his mind over making love. It felt like being caught by a car running on a full tank with no brakes… unstoppable, intense, and completely unreasonable. My whole body was burning, overstimulated and trembling, as if every nerve had been wrung dry.
"Lucian… I'm serious," I murmured weakly, tilting my face away to steal one decent breath. "If this goes on, I don't think I'll survive your three-day ser—ah!"
I gasped and my body jerked up, "Lu–lucian, stopped! Is your thing still full of bullets!"
His only answer was a kiss that stole the rest of my protest and several of my remaining thoughts.
