The one who had transformed into Delta was none other than Saya.
She was also the person from the original series who had once given Takuma a massive psychological trauma.
At this moment, Saya, having received Mari's text message, had come to meet up with her former classmates, though she was running a little late. She just happened to witness the attack they were enduring.
She immediately took the Delta Driver out of her backpack and transformed.
What Saya didn't know was that Raven had also followed her.
"It looks like the plot's development has undergone a major shift because of me…" Raven muttered to himself.
The Delta Driver was originally not supposed to appear for quite some time, yet now it had shown up early before everyone.
However, since Saya had intervened, Mari and the others were naturally safe. Raven decided not to transform and instead watched the battle quietly.
The long-haired Ryusei School student instantly focused on Saya, who was fighting Takuma, and blurted out:
"That must be the Delta Driver!"
"The Delta Driver?" Mari looked completely bewildered. How did yet another belt suddenly appear?
"The person using it must be one of our classmates from the Ryusei School," the short-haired boy said, staring intently at the distance. "But who could it be?"
"Guh!"
In just a few moves, Takuma was utterly decimated by Saya. Delta's punch power and speed were far superior to what Faiz and Kaixa could deliver. His body quickly gave out, and he was sent flying a great distance, rolling pitifully across the ground.
"N-no way!"
Takuma couldn't believe he was completely defenseless against Delta.
"I'm a member of the Lucky Clover!"
Takuma picked himself up, watching Delta slowly walk towards him, his renewed confidence immediately crumbling. The other person radiated an invisible aura and pressure, a feeling of déjà vu. It reminded him of the terrifying scene when he faced Raven on the beach that day.
"N-no…!"
Takuma's fighting spirit shattered; he didn't have a shred of will left to fight. He scrambled to his feet and ran towards the nearby road tunnel.
Seeing this, Saya immediately gave chase. However, once she entered the tunnel, Takuma was nowhere to be found.
Saya didn't continue the pursuit. She decided to leave the area because Mari and the rest of the Ryusei School students were catching up. She didn't want to expose the fact that she possessed the Delta Driver yet.
So, after leaving the tunnel, Saya found a secluded spot and untransformed.
When she turned around, intending to go meet up with Mari and the others, she saw Raven standing there, looking at her.
"Mr. Raven…" Saya was panicking. She looked like a little girl who had done something wrong and been caught by an adult.
"That was the Delta Driver, wasn't it?" Raven said to her.
"I didn't mean to keep it a secret from you…" Saya tried to explain.
"Everyone has secrets. Besides, I haven't told you all of my own affairs, so it's no big deal," Raven said, indicating she shouldn't worry.
Saya stared blankly at Raven. Hearing his words, a warmth spread through her heart. Now that her secret was out, she actually felt a sense of relief. Although her possession of the Delta Driver was exposed to Raven, she believed that given his character and strength, he wouldn't be tempted by the Delta's power like others.
"I was just uneasy about you coming out alone, so I followed you. Since everything's fine now, I'll head back first."
Raven walked over and mounted his Junglaider.
"Wait, can I ride with you?" Saya quickly packed the belt into her bag and asked Raven.
"Didn't you want to meet Mari and the others?" Raven asked.
"I thought about it, and I can't expose my location just yet." Saya Kimura was worried that the Ryusei School students who wanted to seize the Delta Driver might find her because of this, so she quickly took out her phone and sent Mari a text explaining.
"Looks like you have quite a few secrets. Get on." Raven gave a slight smile.
Saya returned a sweet smile and walked over to sit behind Raven, wrapping her arms tightly around his waist from the back.
"Hold on tight."
With a roar of the engine, the Junglaider sped away from the location.
Back at the Amazon Café, Yuka saw Raven and Saya return together and felt a pang of jealousy.
She hadn't even had the chance to ride the same motorcycle with Raven so intimately, yet Saya had already stolen a march on her. Especially those hands—why was she holding him so tight?
So, after Raven and Saya went inside, Yuka looked sullen again. Seeing Saya often chatting and laughing happily with Raven only intensified her burning jealousy.
If it weren't for the fact that she had come to think of Saya as a friend after spending these days together, the darker side of her mind might have resurfaced.
To calm her fluctuating, anxious emotions, Yuka decided she needed to make a proactive move.
