Chapter 32 - Saya Kimura

After dropping off Kiba at the pizza shop, entrusting him to the care of the owner (who was also an Orphnoch), Raven hurriedly returned to his own café. After all, a delicate, black-stockinged maid was waiting for him at home.

Parking the motorcycle at the entrance, Raven pushed the door open. He saw Yuka already walking toward him.

"Welcome back, Master."

Yuka was still playing the role of the maid, seemingly enjoying it immensely. Seeing the shop spotlessly clean and everything organized perfectly, Raven felt a touch of remorse. Perhaps he should ease her burden. He proactively gave Yuka a hug.

The action instantly made Yuka's heart flutter. It felt unreal—Mr. Raven had voluntarily... hugged her.

"You've worked hard," Raven told her, genuinely moved. "Alright, you can change into your normal clothes now, just in case a customer comes in," Raven said lovingly, stroking Yuka's hair.

"Mm, I understand." Yuka smiled, completely satisfied.

Just then, the front door opened. A frail-looking girl walked in carefully, clutching a package.

"Hello, is anyone here?"

Seeing that the Café was nearly empty, the girl seemed hesitant.

"Welcome, customer. What can I get for you?" Seeing someone enter, Yuka instinctively wanted to hide, but she breathed a sigh of relief when she saw it was a girl. The maid outfit was a bit too scandalous for public wear and was meant for private fun.

"Just an iced latte, please."

The girl looked at Yuka in the maid outfit with slight embarrassment, then shyly found a seat. Did I stumble into one of those naughty Cafés? she wondered.

When Raven got a clear look at the girl's face, he was surprised. Isn't that Saya Kimura?

In the original story, she was the one who possessed the Delta Driver and even transformed a few times. Her most famous battle was the one that gave Takuma, one of the Lucky Clover, lasting psychological trauma. She was known as the Delta with the most oppressive presence.

Raven's gaze drifted to the package in Saya Kimura's arms. If he wasn't mistaken, the Delta Driver was inside.

Noticing Raven's prolonged stare, Saya Kimura shyly lowered her head. She wasn't annoyed by the direct gaze, though; Raven was quite handsome, and a girl her age, experiencing the first stirrings of romance, couldn't help but be charmed.

Yuka, who was making coffee, noticed the interaction and felt a twinge of jealousy. Is Mr. Raven interested in this woman?

"Miss, you don't look like you're from Tokyo. Are you traveling alone?" After confirming her identity, Raven looked for a way to strike up a conversation.

Saya answered and nodded honestly to Raven's questions, simply stating that she had left school and traveled to Tokyo.

Yuka brought the coffee over. Seeing Raven and Saya talking so casually made the unpleasant feeling in her heart grow stronger.

"So, you don't know anyone in Tokyo?" Raven asked.

Saya shook her head. She had actually come to Tokyo to hide the Delta Driver and keep her classmates from the Ryusei School from being consumed by the belt's power and killing each other.

"I... I haven't figured out where to go yet." She felt lost and confused. She had left alone with the important Driver her father entrusted to them, and she didn't know what her next step should be.

"If you don't mind, we actually need an extra hand here at the Café. Why don't you stay and work with us?" Raven offered.

Clank...

Yuka, who was wiping down the bar, was startled by his words. She accidentally squeezed too hard and shattered a glass.

"Yuka, what's wrong?" Raven turned and asked.

"Ah, I'm sorry, I broke a glass," Yuka quickly apologized, looking flustered. Her heart was in turmoil. Saya Kimura's appearance and Raven's immediate enthusiasm for her made Yuka feel a sense of crisis.

"It's fine as long as you didn't get hurt," Raven said to her gently.

Seeing this exchange, Saya's impression of Raven improved further; he seemed like a very kind man.

"Mr. Raven... did you just say?"

"Our shop needs one more person."

"Really? Is that okay?" Saya Kimura's eyes lit up with surprise and joy.

"Of course. As you can see, we only have two people, including me. When I have to go out, it's just Yuka here, and sometimes she gets overwhelmed," Raven explained.

"Thank you so much!" Saya could hardly believe it. She quickly stood up and bowed to Raven in gratitude. She hadn't expected to arrive alone in Tokyo and encounter such a benefactor so soon.
