When they arrived, they saw a rainbow rebbit in Niear Cia's hand. Everyone was shocked. The creature was rare to see and extremely value able, but Niear Cia captured it.
He tried to put it into his storage bag, but the rabbit kept struggling. No matter how hard he tried, it refused to go in. Niear Cia frowned. He didn't want to share it with the group. The rainbow rabbit was precious, and he wanted to sell it and become a rich again.
While they were leaving the Rainbow Forest, a deep growl echoed behind them. The sound was heavy, full of pressure. Everyone froze. The air turned cold, and fear spread through the group.
"Did you sense that monster's aura?" Lulan Vuia asked his guard, Verat Vuia.
"It's a third-dimensional monster," Verat replied solemnly. His tone was serious, and his face turned pale. "Even if we fight together, the chance was low."
Everyokne panicked. They began to run toward the exit, but before they could escape, a huge shadow appeared in front of them.
The monster was there.
A massive rainbow rabbit stood before them, its entire body glowing with rainbow light. Its fur shimmered like crystal, and its red eyes were filled with killing intent. The aura coming from it was terrifying.
They had no choice left but to fight.
Verat Vuia was the first to act. He rushed forward, sword in hand, and slashed at the beast. The blade hit its leg, leaving a long wound. The attack wasn't fatal, but it enraged the monster even more.
The rainbow light on its body became brighter, and the ground started shaking. The monster roared and swung its claws, breaking trees and throwing stones everywhere.
"It's so fast " Niat Vuia shouted.
Everyone attacked together, forming a loose circle. But their combination wasn't good. The monster was too strong, and its aura was thick like a storm.
Niear Cia gritted his teeth and looked at the smaller rainbow rabbit he had caught earlier. "Is it this rainbow rabbit's parent?" he muttered. His chest tightened. The little rabbit was trembling inside his arms.
He felt uneasy, so he placed it on the ground. The small rabbit immediately ran toward the giant one, crying weakly. Seeing this, everyone turned to Niear Cia with bloodshot eyes.
The third-dimensional rainbow rabbit went completely berserk. It was furious, roaring as rainbow light exploded from its body for revenge.
In this awkward position, Niear Cia had the only choice left, is to attack. He dashed forward, swinging his sword. Translucent slashes shot out, attacking from all directions. The rainbow rabbit growled in pain. The others followed his lead and attacked with all their strength.
The battle was intense. The air was filled with flashes of light, dust, and screams. The rainbow rabbit was powerful, but the group was determined. Still, their attacks were unorganized, and the creature wasn't going down easily.
Then suddenly, the third-dimensional rainbow rabbit released a massive burst of energy.
"Everyone, dodge!" Verat Vuia shouted, but it was too late.
Boom!
A rainbow-colored explosion hit the battlefield. Killian Vuia was too close to the attack. She cried out in pain, as she was thrown back, crashing into a tree. Blood splattered across the ground.
"Killian!" Lulan shouted and rushed toward her. But before he could reach her, another explosion hit.
Boom!
The ground cracked. Smoke and rainbow light filled the area. When the light faded, Killian Vuia was dead.
Silence fell. Everyone stood frozen.
Their faces were blank, full of disbelief. Lulan Vuia's hands trembled as he looked at his sister's body. No one spoke. Only the faint sound of the monster's breathing could be heard.
Then, slowly, everyone turned their eyes toward Niear Cia.
Niear felt it. Their killing intent. Their anger.
Shit… he thought. Even if I didn't kill Killian Vuia, they'll say she died because of me.
He exhaled slowly. His eyes turned cold. If I don't act first, they'll kill me.
Niear clenched his fists and started to gather his energy quietly. He activated his Dazed Mind Technique, a strange skill that blurred the minds of those around him.
The others didn't notice at first. They kept fighting the monster, but something felt strange.
"Did anyone feel dazed while fighting?" Lulan Vuia asked, his mood was heavy, his sister was killed by the monster but he couldn't do anything, even he don't have a time to regret while he could only fighting for her revenge.
"Yes," Lulan Vuia's guard replied heavily. "It's strange. My strikes keep missing."
Jesna Pier frowned. "I didn't feel it sometimes ago," she said with a heavy toon too.
One by one, they agreed. Niear was the last to respond, and when he did, everyone looked at him with a little suspicion.
After all he was an outsider, after all Killian Vuia was dead because of him.
The fight continued for another hour. Everyone was covered in wounds and blood. Their energy was almost gone Expect Niear Cia, he was still pretending to be tired while saving his strength. Their suspicion toward him grew stronger.
While the third-dimensional rainbow rabbit was near death. Its breathing was rough, and rainbow light leaked from its wounds. Suddenly, it released its final attack.
A burst of rainbow aura spread out, covering everyone.
"It's absorbing our energy!" Lulan Vuia shouted. "We need to kill it now, or we're all dead!" if their energy was still absorbing like that they haven't do anything, when their energy was fully absorbed.
They struggled to move as the aura pulled at their strength. Their energy— The source of everything—was being drained rapidly.
"Attack together!" Lulan shouted weakly.
Everyone gathered their last strength. Niear also attacked, mixing in his dazed mind waves quietly.
Boom!
The battlefield exploded in light. The third-dimensional rainbow rabbit screamed in pain as its body shattered into pieces of glowing dust. The rainbow colors slowly faded away.
They had won.
But no one celebrated. There was no joy, only silence. Everyone was exhausted, and their hearts were heavy with loss.
Then suddenly, the strange dazed feeling came again.
"It's stran—" Verat Vuia started, but his voice was stopped in mid-sentence.
A sound cut through the air. Shhk!
He looked down. A sword blade had pierced through his chest. Blood dripped slowly from the edge...
