Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: A Visit from Dandelion Thighs and the Purple Rose

A new day had begun and Henry was already at his stall, noodles neatly arranged, the crowd noticeably larger than yesterday. The distant chatter from the town square filled the air, blending with the children running and chasing each other.

A larger crowd hovered nearby similar to yesterday—some curious, some hungry, some simply wanting free samples.

His hands moved quickly, boiling water, sealing lids, handing out samples.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a familiar figure approaching: Eula.

She reached the stall, offering a faint, composed smile.

"Good morning," Eula said. "You're earlier today."

Henry straightened slightly. "Had to. These noodles won't sell themselves."

Her lips curved just a little. "Your business caused quite a stir. Even some Knights were discussing it during roll call."

"Oh? Hopefully the good kind of stir."

"The… tolerable kind," she replied. "I thought I should check on you before my patrol."

The honesty in her tone surprised him.

Henry smiled at that. "Thanks. Really."

Eula nodded, almost shy for a second. "Take care," she said softly before turning away.

When she left, Henry inhaled slowly, trying to steady the small rush her presence always seemed to trigger.

He turned back—only to see two new figures heading straight toward him.

Two extremely recognizable figures.

Jean and Lisa.

His heartbeat instantly spiked.

Jean approached first. Every step was steady, disciplined, and quiet. She carried herself with a presence that made people unconsciously move aside—Mondstadt's Dandelion knight in full elegance.

Lisa followed, every bit the opposite: confident, playful, and teasing, her brown hair glinting in the sunlight. Her smile carried a hint of mischief, and the subtle sway of her hips made Henry momentarily forget how to breathe.

[Activate your Flirtation and Charm. Don't trip,Henry]

"Ah… good morning!" Henry said, waving frantically while nearly tipping over a cup of noodles. "Welcome to… uh… my humble stall! Would you like to try some free samples?"

Jean stepped closer, hands folded neatly. She studied the stall with focused eyes, though Henry caught a subtle hint of nervousness in her expression—the kind someone gets when stepping outside after a while.

She picked up a cup delicately, peering into it.

"This is… interesting," Jean said, as she took the ready cup handed by Henry and slurped the noodle. "Quite flavorful."

Henry beamed. "You like it?"

Lisa, on the other hand, smirked and leaned forward.

"Flavorful? Let me judge that," she said, taking a bite. Her eyes widened in shameless delight, and a soft moan slipped out—not exaggerated, just naturally pleased.

Then she noticed Henry staring. She smirked again—slow, playful, enough to make him forget he was supposed to be serving food.

"Shit. This Lisa has some kind of power to make others kneel in front of her…"

Henry heard Orianna chuckle in the back of his mind.

Lisa leaned closer, her voice dropping to a teasing whisper. "So, you're the new entrepreneur stirring up the market?"

Henry stutter mid-sentence.. "Y-Yes! Exactly! I… instant noodles…"

Jean glanced between them, amused despite her trying to hide it. "The town seems to welcome your stall. Impressive for a newcomer."

"I'm actually a researcher," he said, hoping the wording sounded professional enough.

Lisa's eyes lit up with curiosity. "A researcher, you say? Fascinating. What kind of research do you conduct?"

Henry smiled, trying to explain simply. "I study how to make devices and machines work better — making things smarter, faster, and more reliable. I also figure out ways to make complicated tasks easier with clever designs."

Lisa nodded, clearly intrigued. "I'd love to continue this discussion. Afternoon tea at the library? My treat."

Henry's heartbeat tripped over itself. He nodded far too fast.

Lisa caught his reaction and gave a playful, teasing smile.

Jean and Lisa soon excused themselves—they had only stepped out for a quick break. They walked back toward headquarters, chatting lightly. Jean glanced once over her shoulder and gave Henry a small nod. Lisa turned as well, blowing him a teasing wink before disappearing from view.

[Henry, you seem intent on forming a harem in Teyvat.]

Henry groaned. It's Lisa and Jean—two of the Mondstadt's hottest waifus.. Who wouldn't fall for them?

Word had already spread. People claimed they had seen "Dandelion Knight" talking to the noodle guy!"

Others whispered that "the librarian Lisa also tried his food!" And just like that, Henry went from the "strange noodle seller" to the "VIP-approved vendor."

Customers lined up, some out of curiosity, others out of pure hype.

He recognized several Knights returning—some in their suit of armour, some in casual clothes.

Children paid hastily and grabbed cups running off excitedly.

Adults debated how many cups to take, some frowning at the single flavor.

One random uncle bought eight cups for "late-night hunger emergencies."

By late evening, Henry had sold more than six hundred units in total.

Henry collapsed onto a nearby stool, wiping sweat from his brow.

"Mission Completed," he muttered.

[Wonderful Henry. Here is your reward.]

A panel appears in front of Henry.

---

Mission: Sell 500 cups of noodles within 1 week

"Nice Reward Orianna."

Another panel appeared in front of Henry.

---

"What the—? That serum is OP. Won't I be invincible?"

[Of course. But there are still ways to die.]

"Orianna, this task doesn't have a penalty?"

[Nope. Why? Do you want one?]

"No, no, I'm good. No penalty needed. At all."

The city continued its evening rhythm around him, but for Henry, the day had ended only to make way for the next mission.
