Chapter 20 - The History Book On The Shelf

King Kariyen believed he was born to be a Conqueror, and Conquer he did.

From Mars to Pluto, inside the depths of Saturn, to the water planet Neptune.

From the undefeatable army of the dead men in Venus, to the traps of Mercury.

He conquered the universe playing pretend with some beings that they were his allies, and only one planet remained that had not faced his iron fist. Earth.

King Kariyen sent spies to the strange planet, and when they came back with Intel, he laughed.

His servant told him, "the planet is filled with powerless people, they know not even of the planets all around them"

Earth was not difficult to conquer though the people had a will to fight they lacked the strength to even combat the army of the great King Karyien.

After conquering earth, King Karyien had finished his life's work.

He was no longer king but Karyien Conqueror of the universe, the Emperor of all, a god to his planet men, and a treacherous creature to those he enslaved, earth being one of them.

But the slave women of the earthlings were beautiful, and fine to look upon, and the Crimsononian men were delighted to have them for themselves.

Some forced them to become their mates without a bond, and some courted them with kindness shown to no other.

Over time the human women gave birth to hybrid children who were both human, and Crimsononian, some harboring power like their fathers, and some powerless like their mothers.

This generation of hybrid children became the downfall of the great King Kariyen.

The children grew up and had children, and their children had children, and they saw how sore the slavery on earth was, the hybrid children decided to make their own way of communication and form a coup against the army of the great King.

The half breads fought restlessly to free their mothers and grandmothers from slavery, battling with an army much more experienced than them.

During the time of the half bread rebellion the great King was facing a terrible betrayal from his most trusted ally, Martian prince Gandalf.

And he did not betray the great king on his own but became friends with the Venusian queen to take down the great king.

The two together made an army the great king struggled to combat, thus calling on the men and women who were on earth, telling them to leave the slaves.

The half breads believed they had won the war, but the king was facing a harder opponent.

The great king was overcome, the army of his two allies confining him and his army into flamea, freeing the slaves on neighboring planets along the way.

So after thousands and hundreds of years of reign, the great king died with sorrow having failed his purpose for being born.

On earth the half breeds restored peace, but a problem arose. Humans began conspiring, accusing the half breeds of being just like their fathers before them and wanting to take control over them.

Then the half breeds were trying to restore peace and some assumed the roles of leaders amongst the people.

This accusation started a Civil War amongst the half breeds and the humans.

The half breeds didn't want to fight them however, so after fighting for years, they devised a plan to make the humans believe that they had eliminated all of them, and from there they would hide themselves, posing as powerless humans amongst society.

Humans believed they had won the war, they celebrated, they shouted, they were glad to be rid of the half breeds, and anyone that showed signs of having strange abilities in the future would be caught and burned, They called them witches, and fed their children with the same beliefs, however without evidence of such things as half breeds existing in the world generation after generation began to controvert. Blaming the actions of their mothers and fathers, on a hatred for certain people, specifically the lower classed, and foreigners.

Meanwhile all history of the half breeds were erased by themselves, eliminating any chance of humans learning of their existence at any time during history.

The actual half breeds lived amongst humans went unnoticed as they became the Aristotle, Socrates, and Plato, of society. The very same half breeds humans hated were the ones they admired, even worshiping some.

History is as you know it, but now you know that amongst the Civil rights movement were half breeds pretending to care. Amongst the slaves the half breeds were neither master or slave, but in the background.

During the wars, they stayed in the facility that our new half breeds stayed in. Westinsenson Son Which they built after the civil was over on international waters.

Amidst humans slaughtering others because of skin colour, title, or land, they stayed out of the way, allowing them to destroy each other, perhaps realise that they were much more wicked that they that they accused of being like their fathers.

As the world developed, the half breeds took place in government places, they became presidents, mayors. Etc

They became the government, charming the very same people that at one point in time hated them.

One might question, after taking power, why not reveal themselves?

What for? It neither benefited nor destroyed humans to know that part of their history, because if the Crimsonians were to come again and enslave them, knowing their history wouldn't suddenly make them strong enough to stop them.

If something like that were to ever happen, the half breeds would handle it again, and erase it from their mind, allowing life to continue as is.

In 2000 the half breeds noticed strange movement in space, and around earth, but every investigation came out with no results, their fear of an impending attack didn't disappear, instead they trained their kids, and themselves to be ready for anything.

In 2027 a meteorite plunged into earth in Labadi Beach killing millions, and triggering the powers of many other half breeds residing on earth without the awareness of the older generation, and bringing to notice their existence.

This confirmed their suspicions about an impending attack, and they suspected that the children were planted on earth as a way for the Crimsonians to come back with a surprise invasion.

The governments of the world came together, and brought the children into the facility that was later named Westinsenson son, who modified it and made it into the facility that you all know today.

Until now humans including the new generation of half breeds did not know this history, but the secret can no longer be kept.

As for how they will handle the next generation of humans seeing as the secret can not be kept anymore with the peace treaty in negotiation, we are yet to know and yet to care. Because our story ends here.

In the meeting room, government officials, president and such- the one's still alive- sat together round a long table, the Queen at the head of it facing Mr. James Westinsenson.

"Let us skip formalities and get this over with," said the Queen, already growing impatient.

"Well if her majesty demands it- the contents of the treaty are these. That any human traveling to Flamae must first notify Flamae authorities and the same for crimsonians traveling to planet earth." He tapped down on a section, and gestured for her to look down at the paper in front of her.

"How about I don't allow a single one of your people to my planet at all?" They all stiffened, "but your people can still come here?" She nodded, "yes" she said simply, as if not understanding what they meant.

"That- " she cut off the president of Italy, "with all due respect, I'm helping your people, a human cannot survive a second on flamae, we are adaptive beings, we can come here as many times we please and live." She smiled, spinning the pen between her fingers. "I cannot seem to agree- any bad man can come here" she gasped, feigning shock.

"I wouldn't allow those who mean you harm to come here- let it be very far from me." The Queen rested her elbows on the table, and placed her chin atop her dorsal.

"What if an evil man feigns goodness and manages to come through?" She furrowed her red brows.

"I'm sure a government of half breeds can handle one Crimosonian trying to cause trouble, no?" They all looked around at each other.

"The terms need to be thought through properly, we need to make sure there are no loop holes- peace is a must" said James Westinsenson. He smiled at the Queen with the same menacing smile she had on her face.

"Very well" they all agreed, "how about a quick recess to get fresh ideas?"

Flashes of Zylith, her father, May and Charlotte plagued Nicoleta's thoughts, everyone else who died because of her corrupted her mind, the baby she held, the small two year old whose mother had been killed, and many others, all those bodies, on the roads, on the ground, blood all around her.

Building ruins, great infrastructures destroyed. Nicoleta cried, leaving the water running down, hoping it would wash away all her guilt, all the blood on her head.

Nicoleta pulled at her wet hair tearing out chucks and chucks of her hair. She stepped out of the shower thirty minutes later, and threw on whatever she saw in the wardrobe.

They had arrived in the temporary home for Nicoleta, which so happened to be James Westinsenson's presidential mansion, though he wasn't exactly a president over a nation he was president over mission control, and that allowed him the chance to build something more than a house similar to Westinsenson son but on the ground instead of waters.

They gave her a neat room with a window overview of the small park behind the house, with palm trees, a pond, nicely cut rose bushes, and metal benches that nobody occupied.

It was beautiful to look at, but she could barely make time to admire when her consciousness couldn't stop reminding her of all the people that died- half the elite forces James Westinsenson said, half an army of children that used to be five million.

She wiped away a lone tear, looking up at the sound of a knock.

Nicoleta stood up and opened the door, behind it was Leonardo, he held a look of concern, his gaze lingering around her.

"Are you well?" her eyes welled up with tears, Nicoleta pulled him inside and wrapped her arms around his torso.

Leonardo placed a gentle hand on her head rubbing her messy hair reassuringly.

"All is well" he whispered, Nicoleta shook her head, tears streaming down her face. "So many people died because of me Leo- " he pulled away, cutting her off.

"Do you truly believe that?- it is not your fault Nicoleta" she stepped away, pulling at her hair again, staring at the floor in a craze.

"They were looking for me" she uttered, "it was because of me that they came" Leonardo cupped her face in his hands, his eyes filled with sorrow as he roamed through his friend's mind.

"You're not at fault Nicoleta" he said gently, wiping away her tears, he pulled her closer, and brushed her hair down.

She leaned into his touch, trembling, and holding on tightly as if he was about to disappear.

That night Nicoleta locked her door, and stayed in bed, despite the captain telling her to come outside and eat.

He even tried the knob twice, but Nicoleta ignored him, wrapped up in her warm sheets of guilt.

At midnight, he managed to open the door regardless of the lock, and placed a tray of food beside Nicoleta.

"You should eat something your highness, your health is important,"

She shook her head, and turned her back to him. The captain persisted anyway, moving to her left, and scooping up a spoonful of soup.

He brought it to her lips, and Nicoleta didn't want to at first but couldn't fight against the needle prickling pain in her stomach, the growl of hunger, and the stabbing pain of her stomach acid eating at the skin around it to sustain her.

She opened her mouth, and let the captain feed her, sitting up on the bed for the soup to go down easy.

The captain left when the bowl was emptied of its contents, and as he left he said.

"Punishing yourself will not bring back the dead- you can only think to do better for the living" he closed the door after that, and Nicoleta smiled realizing that she had heard a similar phrase from her father.

Then tears began falling one after the other, as the pure lively memory replaced the blood shed all around her brain.

"Nicoleta please let me inside" Ambrose begged from the other side of her bed. "I'm not angry with you," he said. Nicoleta small, filled with regret, and sorrow over destroying her father's art, stood up and opened the door.

Ambrose crouched down, and wiped away her tears, before giving her a small paper and pen, "instead of crying, how about we make even better ones to replace the old ones?" Nicoleta sniffed and nodded, letting her father pick her up.

"Aren't you angry?" She asked, he looked at her then the smile on his face the most beautiful thing in the world, "I can never be angry with you Nicoleta"
