It was already night, and a cool breeze was blowing, but it did nothing to clear the fog in Kelsey's head.
She stumbled, leaning against a nearby billboard, trying to steady her breathing as she looked at the man in front of her. "I… I feel really weird. Can you take me to the hospital?"
Norman instinctively reached out to help her up.
But the moment their hands touched, Kelsey felt a strange, unwanted pull deep in her nerves.
When she met his gaze, she flinched back like she'd been burned, feeling totally disgusted and completely tormented.
How could Norman not understand what that reaction meant?
"You must have been exposed to something sexual in there," he said, his voice low. "Even if you didn't eat or drink anything, they sometimes use aphrodisiac aromatherapy. It makes you… susceptible."
"No wonder…" Kelsey frowned, her voice weak. "I just thought that was how the whole place smelled."
