Chapter 255 - Ran Into a true connoisseur

"Hubby, do whatever you want."

"We all know you're doing this to set an example for the clan. We won't talk back anymore, okay?"

After thoroughly putting Tsunade and the others in their place, Uchiha Yuzuru walked out with his chin held high.

He then gave the four brothers another ruthless lesson—listening to their chorus of sobs—before finally leaving in satisfaction.

All the way to the Hokage Building, Yuzuru walked in.

Uchiha Fugaku, dark circles under his eyes and looking half-dead, gave a weary greeting. "Yuzuru, you're here."

Yuzuru startled and hurriedly said, "Fugaku, don't you dare drop dead in the office. Didn't I assign Mabuma and Minato to help you?"

Fugaku sighed. "The two of them still aren't familiar with this stuff. Give it some time and they'll be fine."

"Yuzuru, these are some materials I've compiled on Konoha's elite ninja."

Yuzuru took them and flipped through briefly, only to find quite a few familiar names—people who had appeared in the original story.

"Konoha's been messed up by Hiruzen Sarutobi and his faction for all these years, and then there was the Fourth Great Ninja War a year ago… Konoha's high-end fighting strength has basically been wiped out."

"These people are already considered outstanding ninja, but many of them still have ties to the old Hokage faction."

Yuzuru set the documents back down on the desk and said casually, "Do whatever you think is best. I don't really care."

Hearing that, Fugaku finally relaxed. "Then I'll place them at the Ninja Academy, responsible for teaching the graduating students their respective courses."

"Oh right—by convention, I've arranged four personal guards for you."

Yuzuru froze, pointing at himself. "Me? Guards?"

Fugaku smiled and nodded. "No matter how strong you are, you can't possibly handle everything personally."

"Having a few guards around will make things more convenient."

"Fugaku… even if we've become the rulers of the village, we can't go down the road of hedonism…" Yuzuru muttered as he took the materials from Fugaku again.

After flipping a few pages, he continued, "But then again… every system exists for a reason."

"Fugaku, you didn't disappoint me. You really are an excellent Hokage."

Fugaku laughed a few times. "Then I'll arrange it immediately."

A gust of wind blew in through the window, making the papers in Yuzuru's hands rustle loudly.

The names Samui, Yugito, Uzuki Yugao, and Mitarashi Anko appeared and disappeared across the page as it fluttered.

Leaving the Hokage Building, Yuzuru was in an excellent mood.

This was why having your own people in charge felt so good.

He hadn't even said anything, and the personal guard arrangement was already done for him.

Using the Transformation Jutsu, Yuzuru arrived at Konoha's newly built commercial street. Seeing the lively, prosperous scene, he couldn't help nodding in approval.

Shopping malls, clothing stores, restaurants, taverns, snack streets… all kinds of entertainment facilities—everything was there.

As the center of the ninja world, this was exactly how it should be.

Unlike before, when the entire village was basically just an oversized rural town.

Yuzuru stepped inside, and the noise immediately flooded his ears.

Even though the Konoha rabble had been slaughtered until only one in ten remained—and most of the survivors had been sent off for hard labor—thanks to Yuzuru's immigration policy, the village population was still impressive.

At this moment, describing the commercial street as packed like a sea of people wouldn't be an exaggeration at all.

Wandering aimlessly, Yuzuru passed by a dessert shop.

Seeing how crowded it was inside, he walked in.

Even though he'd never been here before, he could tell the taste must be good.

"Boss, give me a few skewers of dango."

Yuzuru walked straight to the counter and called out to the busy worker inside.

The moment he finished speaking, another voice sounded right beside him.

"Boss, I want a few skewers of three-color dango too."

Yuzuru turned his head and saw a young woman with a sharp, heroic look.

Her expression was bright, and she wore an earth-yellow jacket.

"So we meet here… what a coincidence."

Yuzuru raised an eyebrow inwardly.

The woman in front of him was one of the personal guards Fugaku had chosen for him—Mitarashi Anko.

In the original story, she was a woman who loved sweets.

Her favorite food was three-color dango—so much so that by the time of Boruto, she'd gone from Anko to something closer to a potato.

"Um, sorry you two… today our dango is sold out. There's only one last portion left…"

Watching the boss bring over ten skewers, Anko swallowed and immediately said, "Give it to me, give it to me! I was here first."

Yuzuru frowned. "I'm the one who spoke first, alright?"

Anko snorted lightly and waved the paper slip in her hand in front of Yuzuru. "Everyone needs to take a number and line up. Even if you did come in first, you didn't take a number, so you're behind me."

After arriving in Konoha, this was Yuzuru's first time coming out to buy something, so he hadn't noticed a system like this.

He thought for a moment. "Then we split it—five skewers each. I'll pay."

But Anko shook her head. "No way. I haven't eaten dango all day. Just five skewers won't satisfy my stomach."

As she spoke, she even leaned her head forward, putting on a show as she repeatedly smacked her lips.

"Peh peh peh peh peh!"

Originally, Yuzuru had planned to leave, but seeing Anko's little stunt instantly annoyed him.

He took out money, placed it on the counter, and directly picked up all ten skewers.

Seeing that, Anko hurriedly shouted, "Hey! You saw that, right?! Those dango are already covered in my saliva!"

Yuzuru sneered. "You think that'll make me not dare eat them?"

"Let me tell you—your spit is just seasoning. The more I eat, the better it tastes."

Then, right in front of Anko, he stuffed a skewer into his mouth.

Anko's skin instantly flushed—from her face all the way down to the base of her neck, and it kept spreading.

She pointed at Yuzuru, trembling so hard she could barely speak. "You… you… you… you pervert!"

Yuzuru ignored her completely, vanishing from the spot in a Body Flicker.

"You'd better not let me run into you again, you filthy pervert!"

Anko stomped in place, and in the end could only grit her teeth and leave.

After the two of them were gone, a few men inside the dango shop couldn't help sighing enviously.

"Damn… what a sight. Today we really ran into a true connoisseur."
