In the morning,
Taekyun was sitting for breakfast while Haru was already out in the garden with Bora for a walk. It was her routine every day.
She woke up early, walked with her puppy, ate breakfast, then got ready for school.
Taekyun knew how much Haru was attached to her puppy, so he made a whole room for it, decorated just the way Haru wanted.
Pink curtains, small bed, toys. He made sure it stayed clean so Haru wouldn't get sick. It looked more like a princess room than a dog home.
But that morning, something felt strange.
The door of the puppy room was half open.
Bora stopped when she saw it. Haru was walking ahead. Bora asked the servants following behind,
"Did any of you open it?"
They shook their heads quickly.
"No, ma'am."
Bora frowned. "Then who did?"
Haru went closer to the door, pushing it slowly and walking inside.
Bora waited outside with the servants. A few minutes passed, but Haru didn't come out.
Bora leaned down a little, calling softly, "Haru?"
No answer.
She bent down to look inside and froze.
Haru was sitting on her knees in front of someone. A boy.
A stranger.
Omega was lying near the pink bed, curled up like he'd been hiding all night.
His hair was messy,
Haru looked at him with her big innocent eyes, and before Bora could stop her, she touched his cheek.
Her small fingers pressed softly against his skin, and she smiled a little, whispering, "Warm."
Bora's eyes widened. She screamed.
"Ahhhh! Who is that?!"
The servants panicked, some ran toward the main house, others calling for guards.
Inside, Haneul's eyes opened fast. He sat up scared, looking around confused. His heart was pounding, hands shaking.
Beside him, Haru didn't look scared at all. She just smiled at him like nothing was wrong.
Inside the residence,
Taekyun heard the scream. He stood up from the table at once.
A servant came running.
"Sir, someone's inside the little mistress's puppy room and the puppy is missing"
Taekyun's jaw tightened. He didn't ask again. He just took his phone and went out.
In the garden,
All the servants and guards were gathered around. When they saw Taekyun coming, they all bowed immediately.
He walked straight toward the pink room.
When he looked inside, the scene made him stop for a second.
Haneul was sitting there on the floor, scared and shaking.
Next to him sat Haru, holding his hand tightly, like she was protecting him.
Taekyun said in a low voice,
"All of you, step back."
No one dared to move until he said again, "Now."
Everyone stepped back quietly.
At that moment,
Lihan also came running through the gate, still holding an umbrella.
what happened?
Taekyun eyes were on the Omega.
"What are you doing here?"
Haneul's lips trembled.
" I...i " he said in a shaky voice.
"I didn't mean to, I just needed somewhere to"
"Who gave you permission to stay here?" Taekyun cut in coldly.
Haneul lowered his head, tears already forming.
"I had nowhere else to go"
Taekyun's expression didn't change.
He turned to Haru.
"Haru, come out. Go inside."
But the little girl shook her head.
Her small fingers held Haneul's arm tighter.
For a second,
Taekyun just stared at her, not believing she refused him for the first time.
"Haru," he said again, this time sharper.
Bora moved quickly.
"Sir, I'll take her"
"Do it," Taekyun said without looking at her.
But Haru still didn't move. She clung to Haneul's sleeve, hiding half of her face behind him.
The Omega looked lost and scared, but his arms slightly moved in front of Haru, as if to protect her unconsciously.
Taekyun's tone dropped lower.
"Haru, now."
Still, no reaction.
For a second, it was silent just rain dripping from the roof and everyone standing frozen.
Lihan slowly stepped closer, eyes moving between Haneul and Taekyun.
"Sir, should I...."
Taekyun stopped him with a hand. His eyes never left the Omega.
"You. Why are you here again?"
Haneul whispered,
"I didn't mean to cause trouble…"
Before Taekyun could say anything else, Haru looked up at him with wide, wet eyes. The kind that made even words feel heavy.
Her thoughts were simple.
She believed her puppy turned into a human as she wished for all this time.
Her father was angry, but she couldn't let her puppy be taken away.
Taekyun exhaled quietly, running a hand through his hair in frustration.
That's when Lihan finally spoke, his tone suddenly changing after he looked closely at Haneul.
"Sir," he said slowly, eyes fixed on the Omega.
Taekyun turned to him. "What?"
Lihan hesitated, then said it.
"I do know him."
