Miles sat beside Medic Renn as they stared up at the panel. They watched as the computer was finishing up on the last few chemicals to neutralize the toxin. None of the chemicals in the database was able to act as a neutralizer for the toxin so far, and there were only a handful left to go.
Once the computer finished, it would immediately start on repellents using the same method. Unfortunately, it would take two days to test all the combinations in the database. Both Miles and Medic Renn were fearful that it would be too late to save Ver. She was determined to try to save them herself.
Miles looked over at Ver. She was playing with the infants. She was sitting on a blanket with the two boys as she played with them. They were laughing and giggling. Miles smiled. She would make a good mother if she were given the chance. He wanted to find a cure for the humans in stasis so he could give her that chance.
