Simon looks at the unconscious android in front of him with a frown. He can see the two of them sustain a heavy injury, but Popola is more severely injured than her sister. Lucky for him, the maintenance drones can heal her so she can last longer.
He shakes his head and immediately uses eight charges to create {Android} specialization. A second later, he clutched his head as a massive amount of knowledge entered his mind. Lucky for him, it only lasted for three seconds, and when he looked at the twin once again, it was with a different look.
The combination of his specializations already gives him a lot of ideas, and Simon knows that he can upgrade the twin with this new specialization. However, he needs to prepare specialized tools. He creates blueprints for an all-purpose tool called Omni-Tool. It will be a compact tool containing all the things he needs for an immediate repair or modification.
He got the idea from something called a Servo-harness from the Warhammer 40k universe, but instead of only containing five to six tools, it can contain up to thirty tools. His mind already supplies him with an upgrade that contains a miniature fabricator, but he can upgrade it later. For now, he needs this tool for the repair.
When he finishes the blueprint, he lets his [Base Builder 9000] make the Omni-Tool. When his ring is done making the Omni-Tool, he puts it on and walks to the surgery table. The maintenance drones put them to sleep and ready them for him to work.
With a precise, smooth, and fast movement, he immediately opens Popola's chassis and reveals the inner workings of her body. Simon gasps a little at the sight and mutters.
"What a beauty."
Her inner workings are a masterpiece. Whoever makes her mode intends her to be able to last for a long time. Her inner workings symbolize efficiency, but the one that catches his attention is the fist-sized fusion reactor in the middle of it, which acts as her heart and power source.
It is a masterpiece of energy generation because water only fuels this reactor.
Ideas flooded his brain, and he immediately put them into reality. The first one is to upgrade the energy producer. However, he will not change the reactor and instead upgrade it. He decided to create a miniature Lumenroot Condenser around the reactor. This will feed the reactor with the water it needs, and as long as the twins are exposed to sunlight, they will never run out of water.
However, he is not done. He decides to add something that he calls the Helio Array Mk. 2. It is the upgraded version of the first one and the one that he placed on the Fabricator. He is glad he picked the {Miniaturization} specialization because it works great for the twins.
He put that array inside their body and made them a walking solar panel that produces energy as long as there is sunlight. The reactor acts as their lifeline, ensuring they are alive, and the Helio Array will power all their weapons and support systems.
However, before Simon put the power generator together, he fixed the injuries Popola sustained. The first one is closing the hole in her cooling system, fixing the cracked chassis, and connecting the severed connector.
He then put her back together and did the same with Devola.
Just like that, he fixes the close-to-death androids and makes them look brand new. However, Simon is not satisfied. When he knew the two of them had recovered from their injuries, he decided to upgrade them.
The first one? He put the Great Firewall into their system, purging the dormant virus inside their system. He frowned at that. It looks like the twins have a budding Logic Virus inside their system and are ready to activate at any moment's notice.
Second one? He changed their entire chassis. He creates the Photosynthetic Power Lattice to be able to support the Helio Array he put earlier. Their skin, hair, and synthetic muscle fibers are infused with energy-absorbing nanofibers that capture sunlight. The twins can function indefinitely under daylight, storing excess energy in compact bio-batteries or expelling it into harmless energy when the batteries are full.
He also makes sure the entire twin chassis can be self-healed. He calls it Solar Bioframe, and this thing can heal itself as long as it is exposed to solar energy. Combine it with the upgraded muscle fiber; the twin is now four times stronger.
With that, he is done with the Body Overhaul. Now, he starts the Cognitive & Sensory Upgrades. The first one is upgrading the twins' sensory system. Simon created a miniature version of the All-Seeing Sensor, enabling the twin to detect an external scanning attempt or cloaking from another android or machine.
He also adds night vision, thermal tracking, an all-purpose scanner, and a cyberdeck for hacking purposes into their bodies. He doesn't know how strong their scanner and hacking capabilities are, but they should be powerful enough not to lose to the 9S model. At least, they are able to give a good fight.
He also expanded their memory storage, their processing capabilities, and increased their cyber defence. Simon also ensures they can share data with his Supercomputer, Oasis, and access it from a long distance for seamless communication and data sharing.
For combat, he makes sure to integrate a combat support system for close and ranged combat. The twin is now able to calculate enemy movement and lock on the target for firing.
Now he has arrived at weaponry. Before he upgrades them, he decides to use the remaining charges and create a {Ranged Weapon} specialization. Just like that, he gets a ton of ideas and starts to make the things he needs.
Once again, he is glad to have created {Miniaturization} in the past. He can cram more weaponry into their bodies without reducing the weapon's capabilities. The first one is the twin-plasma pistol. It can fire condensed plasma into the enemy at a considerable fire rate and speed. The downside of this weapon is the range. It cannot hit something far away.
However, Simon added two Bolters to Popol and Devola to compensate for this. Yes. That is straight up Bolter from Warhammer 40k. The concept of bolter is easy to copy and replicate, making it something he can easily add to the twin.
Also, with the {Energy—Matter Conversion} tech, he can add a small Solar Fabricator that keeps producing ammunition for the bolter. The twins still need to watch out for the speed of the output, because the fabricator needs two seconds to produce one bullet, and they can spend more than one bullet in that time.
These two weapons will be enough to make the twin into a powerhouse on the battlefield.
When he is done, Simon wipes the sweat from his forehead and looks at his creation in pride. Devola and Popola look the same as before, but they are now heavier, more durable, and more powerful than before. He knows that the twin can fight against a YoRHa unit now.
He shakes his head and leaves his workshop. With his {Ranged Weapon} specialization, he can combine it with his {Fortification} to make it even more powerful. New siege turrets and hidden turrets appear in his mind, ready for him to create and put into use.
The first thing he needs to do is to add more automated turrets around the wall of his fortress. Simon thinks for a second and starts to make the blueprint for his new turret. The first is an automated turret called Tarantula Sentry Gun equipped with two twin-linked heavy bolters. While it can be used as Anti-Air weaponry, its primary purpose is for Anti-Infantry weapons. It also carries a miniature Solar Fabricator to produce ammo for the sentry gun. It can produce two bullets per second.
The second one is a turret he calls Hawk Sentry Gun. If the previous one is an Anti-Infantry turret, this one is an Anti-Air turret. Its main armament is two twin-linked Laser Cannons. Because of its powerful armament, Simon put two arrays into this sentry gun so it can power the entire thing. It can also be used as an Anti-Armor weapon, because the laser can punch through a lot of armor.
The third one is called the Hydra Sentry Gun. It is not a gun, but rather an automated missile launcher. Two types of missiles are mounted on it: Frag and Krak. The main armament is the Frag Missiles Pod. It can fire Frag Missiles that detonate above the enemy and blanket the battlefield in a sea of shrapnel that's especially effective against lightly armoured targets. It is an anti-group missile. The pod contains four missiles that it can fire at once or one by one. The secondary armament is the Krak Missile Pod. It can fire a Krak Missile. Krak missiles contain a high-strength, low-blast shaped charge, causing massive damage to anything they hit with minimal collateral damage. It is an anti-vehicle weapon. Each pod carries 20 missiles. Just like Tarantula, this sentry gun has a Solar Fabricator. It is bigger than the one in Tarantula, and there are two of them. The first one produces the Frag Missile and can produce one missile per 10 seconds. The second one produces the Krak Missile and can produce five missiles per 10 seconds.
After making the blueprint, Simon takes his army of drones and starts to create these things.
"And I need something to help me build them. Maybe I need to upgrade the Builder Drone."

When she wakes up, she immediately knows there is something different about her body. She does self-scanning and immediately notices her processing power is now triple the previous speed. Not only that, her memory storage is now twenty times bigger than before.
However, it does not stop there. She can see another energy generator inside her body, and her entire chassis is modified. It might look the same, but it is not.
With a flick of her hand, two plasma pistols appear in her hand, humming with power. With a wave of her hands, the plasma pistols return to her body. She moved her hand once again, and this time, two ballistic weapons, which her system calls Bolter, appeared for her to use.
The last thing she remembers is fighting against an army of machines and getting carried by her sister, before her system falls into safe mode and she loses consciousness.
Before she can look around, she hears something falling down, and as she turns around, she can see her sister looking at the hologram in front of her in shock.
"Devola! Are you okay?! Is your system failing?! Let me check you!"
Lucky for her, whoever repairs and upgrades her body keeps the original things intact. That means her ability as a caretaker and healer is still top-tier. She scans her and frowns because she does not find anything. In fact, her sister is just like her. Her body is more than okay. They are brand new Androids with all the upgrades they have.
However, that leaves her in confusion at the sight of her shocked sister.
"Devola, what is happening? Are you okay?"
Instead of answering her, Devola looks at her and sends a file. She opens it and notices it is a video recording of her emergency surveillance system. Her eyes widened as she read the reading scanner found and looked at her sister and the file she had.
After a few seconds of silence, she and her sister immediately stand up and leave the workshop. The two of them leave the building and start to search for their savior and someone they need to protect.
Devola's scanner immediately marks the man as human, and they will not fail their duty again. Not when a human is willing to rescue them. She immediately uses her new scanner and looks around.
It does not take long before she finds the location of their saviour, and without wasting more time, the two of them start running.
After a few seconds of running, they stop in front of a man ordering an army of drones who notice them. He looks at them and smiles at them.
"Ah, good morning. How is your sleep?"
However, before her mind can react, her body moves on its own and runs toward him. Her sister also does the same, and the two of them hug him while crying. The man looks at them in confusion, but hugs them back. She can feel his warm body and the sound of his heart beating. This man is truly a human, and they are blessed by being rescued by a human.
"P-Please don't leave us…"
"W-We are sorry… Please don't leave us."
The man hugs them tightly, and she can hear his voice.
"Don't worry. I will not leave you two."
She wants to stop the tears because she stains his clothes, but for some reason, her tears do not stop, and her body refuses to move away. However, instead of being disgusted by their presence, the man, the human, hugged them tighter.
For the first time in her long life, she felt hope.
