As the voice of Hayama-san sounded inside the room, I suddenly felt the atmosphere shift a little, they were laughing just now and having quite fun, then suddenly they were forced to regain their composure and the stern expression on all of their faces was the only thing they currently shared .
" Thank you for the reminder Hayama-san, we are finishing our meal, so if you could wait for a few minutes that would be good .
Silence was regained in the room and outside of it, the old butler seemed to be at quite loss of what to do now, but seeing that arguing would only waste more time, he said :
I will be coming to get you in 5 minutes, we will need to get you sorted before attending the meeting .
I was surprised at the fact that I will be attending the meeting, but something inside me was telling me, that things wouldn't be as simple as just attending, I may find myself to be the main event, I first thought that he was here for Miyuki and the Kuroba siblings, but it seemed that I do will need to prepare myself to be meeting the higher-ups that those guys mentioned already .
The man moved away after hearing my response, I turned my attention back to the table and saw three guys with wide O shaped mouths, I was wondering if something was wrong, but then Fumiya gave me a thumb up and said that I'm courageous to be talking back to that old Butler, I looked at the others and asked if they shared the same opinion .
And even though they did nod, they were doing it absent-mindedly, the scene was suddenly deathly quiet, I already had lost my appetite, the two guys expressed their liking to me, they expected that I would at least feel a bit uncomfortable after eating those dishes that had laxatives in them .
I told them that those things had not even the slightest effect on me, all the food in my furnace like body are transformed into energy, the laxatives were no different, they were directly transformed into energy as for their bad effect, what were there of them to still have bad effects .
Then all of a sudden, I began to see that the two guys in front of me seemed to have grown a bit of interest in Fluffy, the rabbit that was hopping on top of Miyuki's shoulder, surprisingly it caught the attention of Fumiya first, then it gained the attention of that sister of his but for quite the different reason .
Fumiya's reaction was genuine, he really was both surprised and excited at seeing the rabbit in front of him, on the other side, his sister was looking at the rabbit as if she were about to swallow it whole, I began to feel some tension rising in the air between the two girls in front of me, the two were simply looking at ine another, but sparks seemed to be flying between the two .
The one who throw the first punch was Ayako, she said mockingly :
Wow, Miyuki-sama you get a new toy, congratulations, congratulations .
Miyuki :
Right, it was a gift Ryuu-san created with his magic for me, it look exactly like a normal one right ? .
The two jabs were been thrown by the two of them, yet I found myself in the middle of their conflicts and was receiving those two jabs, I looked at Ayako who suddenly shifted her gazy from her opponent to me, then I heard her aske if she too could have one, but she wanted a cat instead of the rabbit .
I nodded and gave her a cute small black cat with red eyes,the moment that cat appeared in front of her she was taken aback that I actually did it, I wondered if she didn't want it, but then she said that she was taken aback about me being able to create things like that, she thought that the rabbit in the hands of Miyuki was some kind of a doll, but only after she got her back cat, did she understood how amazing was what I did .
She too seemed to have keen senses towards magic, that what made her more shocked, the moment that Black Cat appeared, she directly went and hug it and only after she hugged it and felt its warmth, did she really understand what a unique existence that cat was .
Doing this wasn't without a consequences, after I made a black cat to the other girl, Miyuki who were boasting about how only she got such a precious gift found her advantage dissaper in front of her eyes, she glared at me for doing something like that, I could be wrong, but I sensed that the two girls weren't fond of one another .
I kept on getting in these weird situations, every time a woman was involved, I'm not even sure of what did I do to get glared at like this, she asked me to give her the same thing I did to Miyuki, but the latter glared at me for it .
As I was thinking like this, I felt a tug on my shirt and saw that Fumiya was looking at me with an eyes that were full of stars, I already understood that he too wanted to get a similar pet like they did, I asked him about what kind of a pet he wanted for himself and he was a bit embarrassed to say out loud, so he whispered the pet he wanted into my ears .
I was unable to think of a reason that made him choose having this from everything else that he could have asked for, but since it wasn't that much of an issue, I still granted him his wish, second later, that guy Fumiya had a honey brown colored teddy bear on his shoulder, it was a bit bigger than the two other pet, but just slightly .
Mr.Hashi for the teddy bear and Ms,Yami for the cat, those guys were really a brother and sister, even their style in naming was similar to each other, after all the three of them got their pets in hand, the quarreling seemed to stop and Miyuki no longer seemed to glare at me, each person was focused on the pet in his hands and they seemed to be forgetting about anything else .
But we were all reminded of the time, by the cold voice of Hayama-san telling us to hurry up, the guys were quite shocked to hear his reminder and hurriedly handled me the pets back, but just as the were about to get out of the room, they sensed something appearing on their shoulders, the were bewildered at this and turned to look at me, I said :
" They are gifts don't worry, they have a mind of their own and is even able to turn invisible when you want them to, so don't worry about them creating a problem for you guys, also it will not need to food or water, nor even will they need to run on Psions, so you can be at ease .
As they heard this, they looked at me a bit more affectionately, especially the girl, it took her brother quite the trouble to pull her away from the room, as she just kept staring at me, then they got out of the room, leaving only me and Miyuki, who seemed to be a bit hesitant about something, but in the end, I didn't have the chance to ask nor did I got to ask about what sort of bad blood was between her and Ayako .
The reason was because Hayama-san suddenly entering the room and he only said follow me then turned around and I told her goodbye and went after him .
We took the stairs and we reached a plain room that had nothing but a few pieces of luxurious furnitures, bed, cupboard and stuff like that, I was then advised to get a shower first before I get dressed, he suggested to call some of the maid to help me in bathing, but I refused him directly telling him that I was in no need for somone to be washing my skin but myself .
He didn't press the matter any further and just told me to push a button that was beside the bed when I'm ready, then he got out of the room, I waited for a minute or two, wanting to make sure that there wouldn't be an additional pair of hands helping me in taking a shower, after I was sure of this, I went into the shower,
It wasn't much different from the one back at the facility, I wasn't smelly or anything, but I did agree that in this case where I will be attending an important meeting, I should be in my peak state .
After I finished showering, I went out and on the bed there was a suit waiting for me there, luckily there was no one there to see me in my towel, just as I thought about that a few knocks on the door sounded, then a second later the lock on the door was locked twice immediately .
Those knocks came from the supposedly maids that would have helped me in getting dressed, they were knocking to ask for a permission to enter, but I had already responded timely and locked the door shut completely, then told them that I would be in no need for help in getting dressed and that they can go on and leave this place .
They were unwilling to do so as their was a risk of them losing their jobs, if they were to do this, I seeing that there was no other choice, I made them all fell in an illusion and unlocked the door and welcomed all of them in, they were 4 women in their formal attires, they were neither young nor old .
I don't think that they were bad in terms of beauty, but I as a person who didn't have much of a type wasn't able to really judge whether they were good looking or not, at most I could say that they were quite likable .
They entered the room then stood in the four corners in the room with their face to the wall, I put them under illusion yes, but I was getting a bit of eerie feeling, seeing someone watching me change in front of, not to mention a whole audience like the one in front of me, I was being reminded of how my first years in the facility were like, until I was finally able to negotiate them stop peeping at me .
The female researchers reaction to this still haunt me to this day, most of those that I had accidentally fried their brains a little were those guys, even though the doctor said that they shouldn't do this, they still continued to go and do it anyway, so they get a slight punishment for their perversion and they earned every part of it .
After I had finished changing, it was the time to comb my hair, it was quite long now, but I with a little bit use of magic, I was able to discard the excessive amount of it and shorten it a little, I preferred it to be unkempt, but due to be attending a meeting, I removed the illusion I put on all the four of them and the moment I did, I saw that their gazes on me were quite intense .
I didn't know whether it was the luxurious clothes or the person who were them being magically charming, but I didn't have much time to let them dwell here so much over this .
I coughed and infused a few Psions in my cough to wake those sleepy guys up and it worked, even though they kept getting stunned from time to time while combing my hair, leading the process to start over and over, time after time .
I was beginning to believe that they were missing it up in purpose, I really did think that, after all, this process continued for over a 15 minutes, if not for how powerful my hair was, I believe that I would have become bald by now, luckily after a whole quarter of an hour did they finally finish combing my hair .
I was now pushing my hair to the left side of my face, I wasn't familiar with that hair style, but from the expression of the maid, I began to think that it will work out, but a quarter of an hour to achieve this, I could have been able to do this, if I had known beforehand .
Either way, they had finally finished playing around and even though they were reluctant to leave the room, Hayama-san timely appearance made them flee from the room in a hurry, I wondered if his expression was that ugly when he came into the room, but I looked at him and saw that he had the same stoic expression on his face as always, so that shouldn't be the case .
The reason he came her for was to accompany me to where the meeting will be held, in the Family's Mansion Main Hall, I looked at myself in the mirror and cheered myself up, I had already got accepted by the family head so all the thoughts of those guys didn't matter to me in the slightest, this meeting will be for me to meet them and them to see me .
People like the higher-ups that tasked those twin siblings to poison me will be there as well, so I will need to get my temper in check, or I might really risk flaring on all of them .
I gave one last look at the room which I should be able to return to after the family meeting, but for some reason, I felt like that I was missing it already, but the stoic and the grave look that old Butler was giving me was quite disturbing .
so in the end, I stopped whatever that I was doing and got out of the room, the old man nodded and began lead me towards the stairs and as we went down the stairs, I saw that in front of me, there a beautiful familiar girl waiting for me and her brother wearing a suit similar to mine but his was sparkling black, mine was sparkling silver together with a tint of purple .
They seemed to have been waiting for sometime, I felt a bit of impatience in their eyes as they looked at me, it wasn't my intention to be late, but there was no point in saying that out loud .
So instead I complimented them on the clothes they have chosen for themselves and they complimented mine as well, then Hayama-san opened the door to the Main Greet Hall and told us to go ahead and go in .
