I looked at the scene outside the plane from the window next to me after i put on my seatbelt, i sat in the front row of chairs that was right behind the cockpit, i saw the scene and thought to myself, when will i be able to freely roam this sky using my own magic .
The scene was quite good, i used my Spatial Eyes just as i released the illusion i put on Matsumoto Base and as we were passing by it, i looked at the doctor from high in the air and saw that his expression was still blank, but this time it wasn't related to him being in illusion, it was him unable to process what happened just now, he collapsed on the floor and was staring at the screen in front of him .
Probably wondering if all that was an illusion or maybe just another nightmare, i could understood what he was feeling, but i would never sympathize with him, those guys only wanted me to be the masterpiece they created, but i wanted more than to be another successful achievement or experiment add to their record, no, i wanted more, i wanted to be me, i wanted to be alive .
The doctor then began pulling himself up leaning on his office table, then he reached for a red button under the office, i always wondered what this button do, i was finally able to realize what it does .
The doctor pushed the button and on the screen in front of him and all the researchers present, a picture of a black hole began to appear on the screen, then the faces on all of the researchers who understood the meaning behind this display appearing become incredibly ugly to look at .
That black hole apperance signaled one thing, the operation they had spent more than 2 decades of time, was now being cancelled, the black hole was eating all the data they gathered over the course of 20 years or more, resetting everything back to zero, marking the experiment of their as a failure, they all looked at the doctor in horror, wondering why would he do something so illogical like this .
As if sensing my gaze on them, the doctor suddenly stared towards the sky and sighed deeply, i wondered if he did this intentionally or not, but without lowering his gaze from the sky, he turned to all of them and said :
Be grateful, that we are even alive, he then directly collapsed on the floor, probably a side effect of being mentally exhausted, before they were able to react to his sudden fall, one by one of those researchers began to fall one after another,
Till there were not a single person awoke in this part of the facility, the black hole had also finished eating all the information related to this experiment, deleting every piece of information that i had ever existed, seeing this scene in front of me, i wasn't able to describe how i felt .
I felt happy that i was now being reborn, but also a bit conflicated due to the fact that i was now have be become nothing but a ghost .
I sighed deeply and as if noticing my uneasy mood, a voice sounded from right behind me, the elegant woman whose name was Fujibayashi Kyouko said :
Tell me about what you wanted to do from now on, do you want to get a girlfriend ? .
I was aware that she said the last part due to her just trying to poke fun at me, but her first question caught me by surprise .
I was beginning to be detached from reality and getting engrossed in my own thoughts when a sudden kick came her in the chair behind me whiche brought me back to reality, i guess she wanted a quick answer, i said :
" Meeting my mother, this is the first thing i wanted to do .
I didn't answer her second due to it being nothing but a joke, i thought so but i heard her saying :
Hmmm, so you don't have an intention of taking a girlfriend for the time being, noted .
She also said it in a serious manner that left me completely baffled, i wasn't even able to tell anymore whether was she joking or was she really interested in discussing this kind of topic, here .
Don't be like that, the journey is still quite long, how will we be able to endure it without some gossiping .
I saw her face suddenly appearing on top of my seat as she said this, the plane was much stable in the air now at this hight, so she was able to freely move around, since we was gossiping, i asked her about the question that was currently gnawing on my mind, i said :

It was that slip of tongue again, i noted it before but i felt that it was merely a coincidence, but i don't think so anymore, something was extremely fishy going on, but since they don't seem wanting to take about it, i dropped the subject and instead answered her bewilderment by sharing my own .
" He should have ?, i wasn't told anything other than me going to meet with a special someone, but who, where or even why, he didn't mention anything detailed .
She sat in the seat next to me which took me by surprise a little and seem to be displeased at this too as she massaged her forehead, but then her face cleared up in realization of what was going on and she said :

Two different special people, special as in rank, people with influence for an example, i'm guessing meaninglessly here, so i might as well wait and see, recalling the map i had in mind, i was able to understand where it would take us some time before we reach there, if my calculations were correct, it would take half an hour, if we we were to keep going with the exact same speed .
The fact that i was heading towards another military base, filled me with so much doubts, especially after hearing the distinctive name of the battalion stationed there and their link to Magic, but her mentioning that they would gave me a real identity kept ringing and coursing in my mind for quite some time, until i saw that she was snapping her fingers in front of me, saying :
It's rude to space out when someone is talking with you, y'know, especially if he was trying to give you an important formation that could solve most if not all of your confusion, she said this and seemed to be sulking, but i was able to tell from the playfulness in her eyes that this was mostly an act, but i still bowed my head and said in apologizing tone :
" I'm sorry for spacing out earlier, please continue what you were saying .
I will under one condition, i want you to give me a kiss, she said this so plainly as if what she just asked for wasn't something incredibly outrageous, at times like this i really miss my emotionless self from before .
My whole face was red due to the fact that she was actually leaning in for the kiss, just as she began closing the distance, she heard a coughing sound coming from the cockpit, she opened her closed eyes and said playfully :
Just ki... .
She stopped what she was about to say after seeing my embarrassed face, she smirked teasingly and had a little bit of blush on her cheeks as she began closing her eyes and closing the distance faster than the time before, just as she came close to kiss the still a bit stunned me, another coughing sound appeared, this time it was accompanied with a tiny bit of Psions, enough to finally awake the drunk like woman from her weird state .
The moment she opened her eyes, they came into contact with my eyes, my real eyes, due to me losing the control of my emotions, the effect of Fabrication on my eyes disappeared, she first gasp at the sight of it, but finally realizing that we were so close to one another, her face changed color to become completely red, i saw she suddenly somersaulted back to her previous seat, all red and embarrassed .
I don't know what got into her all of a sudden, until i saw the reflection in the small mirror in front of me, i was seeing my original eye shape for the first time since a quite long time ago, even i found it difficult to keep looking at them, much less her, so other than the embarrassment, she might have gotten terrified by how weird they looked .
They weren't disturbing as if terrifying those who looked at them, but as you keep staring at them, you would began to feel sucked into them, which was for some people quite disturbing, i believe she was one of those people, the guy in front haven't shown any sort of reaction to them, but that he just seemed to be a quite unusual case, i also could be wrong and she just jumped not out of fright but out of complete embarrassment .
Using Spatial Eyes, i saw that her head was currently lowered, she was staring at the floor of the plan, her face was red and so were her ears, i was also able to notice that she was also breathing heavily, i was beginning to become flabbergasted at what was going on here, i had a guess in mind, but it was so outrageous that i kept shaking my head in try of discarding this guess completely out of my mind .
Luckily her regaining her composure helped in ensuring that i regained mine as well, she calmed down and even though her face and ears were still red, she began to continue telling me about what i wanted to know most, why was i being invited to meet those two special people, who were they, was the question that she can't talk about and that i will soon enough discover the identity of the two on my own .
She began saying her voice was almost inaudible unlike her strong booming voice from before, she said :
Ummm, how should i put it, i know what i guessed to be the intention of one of the two you would be meeting, for the other one, you would need to ask the guy in front, but he won't probably give you a clear answer, but anyway, i will tell you what i know, but you will owe me a date .
She seem to be struggling with something as she said this, from her words i got more questions than answers and she still hadn't even touched the important subjects yet, her telling me that the officer in front know of the reason to why that other special person wanted to meet had me going around on circles in my mind, unable to make sense of most of what was happening .
Before i ask more, i was able to sense an intense glare heading our direction, i didn't know what it was or what for until Fujibayashi-san pointed out the reason for me, saying in a bit more cheerful manner, seeming to have regained her previous attitude, she said :
Alright, alright, no need to glare at me, i guess you will just to have to wait a little before he tell you about it himself, about our date, ahem sorry for that, about what we were taking about earlier, well let's just say that it isn't official yet, but i believe you will be joining our battalion soon Ryuu-kun .
" Huh .
Huh what, why are you so surprised, you didn't believe that the military would leave such a powerful Magicians such as yourself out in the society without having to restrict you somehow, especially not with your special circumstances and just so that you don't feel offended, i was not taking about what you were, but who you were and who after today you might represent, the one who suggested that you join the battalion was that guy there who is still eavesdropping on us, at least that i guessed your visit to the base today was about, as for whether was that really the case or not, that was still left to be seen, but how about we add each other's numbers, to be able set up the date you owe me .
She was chatting non-stop, saying the most weirdest thing ever as if they weren't quite huge issues to begin with, like what kind of restriction will joining the military put on me and why would i even allow them to do so, i was finally free, i was strong yes, but i hadn't go around using my strength to ruin other people lives or creating a crisis for normal people and why did that officer recommend me to join the army, things weren't adding up, but i would still have to wait until i meet that special person before things got cleared up .
As i listened to her words, i kept silent thinking like this in what was my life turning too, unable to think of a way to respond to her, at least until she brought the thing about her wanting my phone number, i said decisively :
" I don't have one and i'm sorry, i thought you were joking before, but you keep on pressing me on the matter of date, even though i never agreed to it, so please stop mentioning it .
I'm still looking at her through the use of Spatial Eyes, she was about to raise her head and said something, when suddenly a strong and undisputable voice sounded from the cockpit, forcing our conversation to stop, he said :
We had arrived .
She seemed to have swallowed the words she was about to say and i no longer paid mind to her, i was looking at the base on the island in front of me while thinking to myself, wondering why my heart was feeling heavy just by looking at it from a far, it hadn't been even a day since i had escaped the facility and regained my freedom, why i'm beginning to feel that i become free yet to be bound again in an even bigger facility than the previous one .
