Remember when I said that Cronus would attack in a year…
Yeah… Well it's been thirty years, that's how long it took for the Greeks to get their shit together and muster their forces to retaliate.
I wasted years being on guard for nothing and this infuriates me.
I know that Gods like all long lived creatures see and experience time differently from mortals, but come on! Decades?!
Initially I planned on jumping them the moment they set a foot in my home dimension, but now I've changed my mind.
given how many God and Super Class beings the Greeks managed to muster, I doubt my home dimension will survive the coming battle.
instead I decided to strike at them directly on their home ground, Ancient Greece. Surprisingly the Titans live on earth rather than another dimension as is the case with most pantheons. Then again it makes sense, Gaia is their mother and by living close to her they get empowered whilst any attacker gets automatically debuffed.
Gaia is a mother goddess so even if she is angry with Cronus due to imprisoning many of her other children she will still protect the Titans against outside threats.
Given that Gaia, a Primordial, will no doubt oppose my actions against the Titans you would think that I would rather risk the destruction of my dimension than defy her, and indeed I would never fight a primordial as I currently am.
However this is where my spying on the Greeks comes in.
Rhea was recently pregnant with her youngest son, Zeus. To those who know of Greek mythology this event is the beginning of the downfall of the Titans.
As such I made use of my foreknowledge to negotiate with both Rhea and Gaia. I offered to hide Zeus in my dimension in exchange for Gaia's non interference during any future conflict between me and the Titans as long as my side refrains from killing her children when in their True Forms.
This way both sides got what they wanted, or so it seemed, after all Gaia believes that Zeus will free her other children from Tartarus whilst I already know that he will do no such thing.
Zeus was raised by Nymphs for the most part and honestly given how much they spoiled him it is obvious how the boy will turn out, not that I care.
To me Zeus is a piece on the board nothing more, as a matter a fact I, under disguise, was the one who put it in his head that he should free his siblings and then overthrow his father.
The pompous brat barely waited a week before demanding to leave for his self imposed quest.
Oh, tricking Gods is one of the many pleasures of life.
From here the story remained mostly the same, Zeus met Metis, got his siblings out of Cronus's stomach, they got themselves some shiny weapons and armor, and now they are planning on starting the Titanomachy.
Only there was a little problem, the Olympians are currently too weak.
Make no mistake many of them are in the God Class and they managed to accumulate quite the following of strong creatures but against the Titans they are guaranteed to lose as things stand currently.
That is where I come in, I will soften up the Titans and hopefully take out a few of their heavy hitters to give the Olympians a chance to win the war for me.
For that reason I decided to bring out some of the big guns I have hidden or did you think that I fought Atlas and his fellow invaders with all I have?
Please, don't be ridiculous, that battle was meant to lower Cronus' guard and so lead to his defeat when he next decides to invade my domain.
Not that this plan matters any more.
In front of me stand ten thousand Peak Ultimate Class guards, all of them geared with some of the best armor, swords, spears and shields my smiths can make, all made of the best metals I can create.
The main army will be supported by another 50,000 soldiers; only these will be a mix of Low and Mid Ultimate Class, their purpose will be support and pest eradication.
The fact is that to even be able to take part in a battle between God Class entities you must at the very least be high within the Ultimate Class. That is what the main army is meant for, the second army is there to pad the numbers and act as sacrifices; if it means that a Peak Ultimate Class can remain in the fight then the sacrifices are worth it.
This army is my pride and joy, it is the strongest and best equipped legion I have at my command, but just to be certain of victory I called in my own pantheon of Gods.
Not all of my children followed my views on this world's divinity, instead many of them chose to take the easy way out when the world reached out offering divinity.
The first and strongest of them is my eldest living son Aegon, the God of Fire and Blood.
Yeah, a bit on the nose but I got to admit that in his case becoming a god was the wisest course of action.
Aegon was stuck as a High Ultimate Class for over a century with no available path for improvement, nor any unique power he can call his own. By becoming a God his energy reserves reached the Peak of the Ultimate Class when using his True Form along with obtaining two powerful domains like Fire and Blood.
With him as an example, all of those who could feel the call of the world ascended into becoming Gods thus forming a new pantheon.
Initially they feared my reaction to their ascension given my disgust with the DxD system of Gods, but I reassured them and even helped empower them.
Something few in this world know is the correlation between Gods and the worship from fully sapient life.
The worship obtained by humans and their like can aid gods in many ways. First and foremost is the power of miracles, meaning the ability to bend reality to achieve something that would be all but impossible otherwise. The second benefit of worship relates to how much authority a God holds over their domain, the more worshipers, the more the world is influenced, and the more authority reality grants to the God. Third is how worship can work as an extra metaphysical energy reserve, if a God lacks in power then they can burn through their accumulated worship for bursts of strength.
For those reasons I recreated the entirety of Planetos along with many of its people so that they may serve as worshipers for my godly descendants.
Currently the Valyrian Pantheon holds 24 gods though sadly most remain at the middle end of the Ultimate Class. However thanks to all the help I gave them, along with their godly domains they've become quite the fearsome force.
In the coming battle I intend for the strongest amongst them to join forces with my army to defeat, capture or kill as many Titans as possible.
I, on the other hand, intend to take on the three most powerful Titans, Cronos, Oceanus, and the recently resurrected Hyperion all on my own.
They managed to figure out that after dying a god can reform without Sarra's Decay sticking to them, I would have liked it better if they hadn't but Oh well, can't do much about it.
For such an occasion I transformed into my male form.
I could feel how a shiver went down the spine of anyone who's ever seen me fight in this form.
A collective "They are so Fucked" loudly resounded in everyone's minds, and indeed they are right.
With a wave of my hand everyone was teleported in front of Cronos' castle and without a word from me everyone charged straight ahead.
"Ahh… this will be fun."
I let my army rampage but instead of joining them I instead rose high and shouted a challenge to my chosen opponent.
"Oy, Cronos get out here, I have come to teach your Titanic ass a lesson."
I could feel the other side go quiet for a moment only for an aura of power to engulf the battlefield and most likely the continents of Eurasia and Africa in their entirety.
Ouf… damn he's really strong, Super Class no doubt and that's without his True Form.
I didn't need to wait for long as Cronos came charging at me with his menacing Scythe swinging.
I know better than to let the fucking Titan God of Time to come close to me, but at the same time I could not run, if he turns back and errases my army then I would be fucked.
Me alone against over a dozen God Class Titans and two Super Class Titans in Cronos and Oceanus, Yeah fuck that.
instead I used the one thing with which I have the greatest affinity after Life and Creation, Space.
I used the idea that the expansion of the universe is a dynamic act that carries both space and time, however what happens if new space, independent of time, is suddenly introduced? The outcome results in either a space in which time has no effect or the more likely scenario time slowly seeping into the newly created space. The problem is that I am not fighting the natural forces of the universe but a god who holds the domain of Time. I thus assumed that he could forcibly introduce time into my newly created space, if the cycle continues then I can create a stalemate or even better void his power over Time.
There are downsides to this strategy such as the absence of light but I can get rid of this by using my power of Insight to see rather than actual eyes.
The outcome is that time requires space to propagate. With me creating a bargain version of Infinity I can limit Cronos at a manageable cost.
On the other hand I replicated the strategy I used to subdue Atlas, but of course it can't be that easy. Moments after the first few God Slaying weapons are sent flying they stopped in place or rather the time stopped within the space they inhabit.
I expected that but you can't blame me for trying.
Cronos imposed his dominion over time to bring a stop to everything within the area, but I was unaffected due to me continuously creating evermore space independent of time only for my adversary to once more impose his domain. The clash between us stalled until Oceanus Titan, God of the Ocean and Elder God of Water stepped in, attempting to manipulate my body's water content.
A decent attempt at taking me down however it was foiled by one of my greatest defences, the Multilayer Barrier which contained a secondary spatial separation, all while granting me resistances to water, fire, and time amongst others, however against gods those barriers will only serve to reduce an infinitely small amount of damage.
That's the price for playing in the big league.
Through an unspoken signal all three of us moved this battle into high gear.
Cronos moved to strike once more but in the blink of an eye Cronos multiplied into three, all coming at me from different directions.
Possibility manipulation or maybe he superimposed his existence bringing forth different temporal versions?
I don't know but this is bad, with three of him around I can't produce enough space before he already imposed his domain over it.
At the same time Oceanus is playing support by acting as artillery.
Well I'll be damned Gods who know how to use their domains the proper way.
In a battle of attrition I lose, if I create space or try to buy time my army gets erased, guess all I have left is to fight them for real.
I am not getting out of this battle Unscathed but then again it is through adversity that humanity shines the brightest.
I am only an enlightened, which is to say that I am still technically mortal for I remain a Demi-Spiritual Life-Form. My body will age and die, but my spirit never will, in that case enough holding back, If the worst happens then I will merely need to recreate my body, simple right?
I stopped pacing my power output and charged straight at Cronos allowing my body to suffer the ravages of time but that isn't to say that I stopped creating space, if only to prolong my body's life span it is no doubt worth it.
Sorry for the delay, I had too much to do and the coming battle will be complicated since I will be playing with concepts.
