Chapter 75 - Chapter 75

Elfman vs. Sol

"Lisanna, get behind me!"

Elfman stood tall, muscles tensed, as dust and gravel swirled wildly through the air. Moments ago, he and his sisters had taken down a squad of Phantom Lord members—but now the earth itself seemed to move. He quickly pulled Lisanna and Mirajane behind him, his sharp eyes scanning the shifting sands.

"If you're a real man, then show yourself, Phantom bastard!" he roared, voice echoing through the battlefield and drowning out the distant sounds of magic clashes.

A sly chuckle echoed from below.

"My name is Sol," came a smooth, taunting voice. "Show a little manners, boy—call me Mister Sol."

A strange man with slicked-back green hair and glasses slithered up from underground, his hips swaying in an exaggerated, almost serpentine rhythm.

Elfman's brow twitched. Just looking at this creep makes me sick.

"I don't care who you are, freak!" Elfman bellowed. He clenched his right hand, magic surging around his arm. "Beast Arm — Black Bull!"

His massive fist crashed into the ground with explosive force. The earth erupted, boulders flying in every direction. Sol dodged with surprising agility, leaping clear of the impact.

"Oh, impressive! Such strength with only your right arm received," Sol cooed, smirking. "And your sisters… how adorable. One of them doesn't even give off a magic signature—how curious."

Raising both hands, Sol summoned a glowing magic circle. "Sand Dance!"

The ground exploded into a storm of dust and sand. The whirlwind blinded Elfman and his sisters instantly.

"Elfman! Watch out!" both Lisannas shouted—yes, two Lisannas, the twin sisters calling out in unison.

One of them transformed, her entire body flashing white as she shouted, "Take Over — Eagle Form!" Her wings beat furiously, scattering the sandstorm—but that moment of visibility was all Sol needed.

"Rock Concerto!"

Massive chunks of stone shot up from the ground, flying straight toward Elfman like bullets.

Elfman reacted instantly, leaping forward into a roll and landing protectively before his sisters. The rocks exploded behind him, pelting his back with shards of stone.

"You okay, Lisanna?"

"We're fine, Big Brother!" one called out.

"Yeah, we're okay! What about you?" echoed the other.

Sol's laughter slithered through the air. "Non, non~ this little concert isn't over yet! Let's see how you protect both your sisters this time!"

In an instant, Sol sank into the ground and reappeared behind the two girls. Magic circles flared beneath his feet.

"Earth Magic — Stone Prison!"

But Sol miscalculated. While one Lisanna truly lacked magic, she wasn't defenseless. She clenched her tiny fists, channeling every bit of training she had ever endured.

Her fist turned pitch black.

"BAM!"

Her punch landed square in Sol's gut. His eyes bulged wide in disbelief as he was sent flying backward, smashing through a stone wall before crumpling to the ground, coughing and gasping for breath.

"What… what power!?" he wheezed, wiping blood from his mouth. The casual arrogance vanished from his face. Now he stared at the siblings with real fear.

The two Lisannas grinned at each other and clapped their hands in delight before skipping back behind their brother.

"Big Brother Elfman, that scared us for a second!" one giggled.

"Yeah, so scary!" the other chimed in—but the mischievous glint in their eyes betrayed the truth. They were having fun.

Elfman's rage flared like fire. "Coward! You'll pay for this!"

His entire body trembled, magic pulsing through every muscle. He had sworn ever since the Beast King mission that he'd never let his sisters be hurt again—never again.

"Full Body Take Over — Beast Soul!"

With a thunderous roar, Elfman transformed. Twin horns erupted from his head, his muscles expanded, and his eyes glowed with primal fury. The very wind around him trembled beneath his magic power.

"ROAAARRR!"

The shockwave tore through the clearing, flattening trees and sending sand flying.

Sol shielded his face, struggling to stand against the overwhelming wind. "W-What is this power?! Such monstrous magic—impossible!"

Elsewhere — Mirajane's Battlefield

Meanwhile, Mirajane—in her demonic Satan Soul form—was mercilessly beating Aria into the ground. The once-arrogant Phantom Lord wizard who had been bragging about his guild's master was now a broken heap beneath her feet.

"You were saying something about your master being the strongest?" she said coldly, eyes flashing. "Why so quiet now, trash?"

Her tone dripped with disdain. A dark energy sphere formed in her hand.

She vanished in an instant, reappearing beside the struggling Aria. With one devastating punch to his chest, the ground collapsed around them in a massive crater.

Then, without hesitation, she grabbed his limp body by the collar, leapt into the air, and flew toward the other battlefields to help her guildmates.

Cana vs. Gajeel

Elsewhere, Cana Alberona faced off against Gajeel Redfox.

"I've heard you're close to Kael," Gajeel said lazily, standing atop a shattered rooftop. "Let's see if your strength lives up to the rumors."

He sneered. To him, weaklings weren't comrades—they were just noise. His eyes gleamed with violent curiosity.

"Kael already beat you once," Cana replied sharply. "Don't think I'll be any easier."

Her fists clenched, magic rippling across her body. She dashed forward, leaping high into the air.

"Let's go!"

Her leg came down in a brutal axe kick. Gajeel barely leapt aside in time. The impact shattered the rooftop entirely, sending chunks of debris raining down.

"Whoa… that kind of power from just one strike," Gajeel muttered, smirking as he landed. "Maybe I underestimated you."

Cana smirked back, eyes blazing. "What's wrong? Weren't you eager to see my strength?"

She raised a glowing set of cards, activating her magic. Two wings of pure wind energy burst from her back.

With one powerful flap, she shot forward, faster than Gajeel could blink.

Her fist connected.

"Iron Dragon's Scales!"

Gajeel crossed his arms, his skin turning to metal just in time to block the blow—but the impact sent him flying through the air.

Cana didn't let up. Her punches came fast and hard, giving him no room to counter. Kael's words echoed in her mind: Never hold back. Strike first, strike hard.

Gajeel growled, stretching his iron limbs to slow his fall and gain distance.

"Damn it… I've gotta pull back!" he thought. Close combat wasn't his forte against a brawler like her.

After taking another heavy hit, he finally managed to leap back. While still airborne, he drew in a deep breath.

"Iron Dragon's Roar!"

A vortex of spinning metal shards and compressed wind burst from his mouth, engulfing Cana in a storm of steel and dust.

The explosion rocked the battlefield.

When the smoke cleared, Gajeel stood atop a pile of rubble, clutching his ribs, panting heavily as he stared down into the debris.

"…That should shut her up."

But the dust below remained eerily silent.
