reignite within her dead heart!

However, Di Yan's next action...

instantly extinguished this newly kindled flame, leaving only cold ashes!

He didn't spare Kurenai Yuhi another glance.

Instead, he walked straight to the side hall where Kurenai Yuhi and Hinata lived.

Kurenai Yuhi's internal alarm bells rang loudly, and she hurriedly followed.

Inside the side hall, Hyuga Hinata was washing up.

She stood by the basin, gently wiping her fair, tender face with a wet towel.

Water droplets slid down her delicate jawline, dripping onto her clothes.

In the morning light, she appeared exceptionally pure and alluring.

Seeing Di Yan suddenly enter, she trembled with fright.

The towel even fell into the basin.

Like a startled fawn, she immediately hid behind Kurenai Yuhi, who had just entered.

Her small hands tightly clutched Kurenai Yuhi's clothes, and her body shivered.

"What are you doing here?!"

Kurenai Yuhi shielded Hinata behind her, forcing herself to be calm as she questioned Di Yan, trying to hide her inner panic.

"I've already written the letter as you requested, and it's been sent out!"

Di Yan seemed not to hear her question.

He walked boldly to the bed where they had slept and sat down unceremoniously.

The soft bed sagged slightly.

His posture was relaxed, but his gaze was like a cold searchlight.

It finally landed on Kurenai Yuhi's face, which was feigning composure.

"The letter, it was indeed very 'good'."

Di Yan spoke slowly.

His voice wasn't loud, but it carried a suffocating sense of oppression, "Every word bled, full of genuine emotion; even I almost believed it."

He paused, and the mocking smile at the corner of his mouth was finally undisguised, sharp as a blade:

"Especially… the little trick you hid between the lines, the trigger-based genjutsu mark condensed with your last pitiful bit of mental power."

Boom!

It was like being struck by five bolts of thunder!

The last trace of color instantly drained from Kurenai Yuhi's face.

She was struck by lightning, her body swaying violently.

She widened her eyes in disbelief, staring fixedly at Di Yan.

Her secret… her last resort, for which she had risked everything… had actually… actually been seen through long ago?

"You… how could you…"

Kurenai Yuhi's voice was completely distorted by extreme shock and fear, shattered beyond recognition.

Di Yan chuckled softly.

The laughter sounded particularly harsh in the silent room:

"My eyes are the Mangekyo Sharingan."

"Yuhi, in front of those eyes, any fluctuation of mental power is like a firefly in the dark, ridiculously clear."

He extended a finger and lightly tapped his temple:

"Your little trick was seen through the moment the letter fell into my hands."

Kurenai Yuhi felt a cold despair instantly shoot from the soles of her feet to the top of her head, and all her limbs lost sensation.

All her schemes, all her struggles.

In the face of an absolute power disparity.

They seemed so childish, so vulnerable!

"But… you knew… why… why did you still send the letter?"

Kurenai Yuhi's voice carried a tone of collapse.

She couldn't understand.

Since he saw through the trap, why did he still send the letter to Asuma?

Di Yan slowly stood up.

He walked step by step towards the pale Kurenai Yuhi and Hinata, who was hiding behind her, terrified to the point of almost fainting.

His figure cast a huge shadow in the morning light.

Completely enveloping the two of them.

"Why?"

Di Yan stopped in front of Kurenai Yuhi, looking down at her, "Because… I want you to see with your own eyes."

"How your last hope… turns into a death warrant… leading your companions to destruction!"

He leaned down slightly, getting close to Kurenai Yuhi's ear, like a devil's whisper:

"What do you think, when your Asuma, full of hope, opens that plea for help, triggering the genjutsu you left behind."

"When he thinks he's receiving important information…"

"Will what he sees be the truth?"

The corner of Di Yan's mouth curved into a cold and cruel arc.

"Or… the 'truth' I want him to see?"

Kurenai Yuhi's pupils contracted to their extreme.

Boundless chill instantly froze her blood and thoughts!

She understood!

She understood completely!

Di Yan not only saw through her genjutsu mark.

He even… altered or overwritten it.

That letter, sent out, was not a distress signal at all.

But rather… a carefully laid trap, aimed at Ino–Shika–Chō and Asuma.

And she herself was the one who personally handed over this deadly dagger!

"No… no…"

Kurenai Yuhi let out a desperate, piercing scream.

Immense pain and self-reproach engulfed her like a tsunami.

Her vision went black, and she could no longer stand.

Her body went limp and collapsed to the ground… The last glimmer of light was extinguished by Di Yan himself.

Di Yan coldly watched Kurenai Yuhi, who was slumped on the ground, distraught.

He then glanced at Hinata, who was hiding behind her, crying in fear.

A strange curve appeared on his lips, "Then… since you're disobedient, you must be prepared to accept punishment…"

20 Grabbing Hinata's throat; in front of Hinata

Di Yan's cold words fell like a blade of judgment:

"Since you made a mistake, you must accept punishment."

His gaze swept over Kurenai Yuhi, who was slumped on the ground, distraught.

There was no mercy in his eyes, only the coldness of a controller inflicting punishment.

"Punishment?"

Kurenai Yuhi's hair instantly stood on end.

An indescribable fear seized her, making her heart pound.

She suddenly looked up, staring at Di Yan in horror.

Then she subconsciously glanced at Hinata, who was trembling with fear nearby.

What did he want to do?

In front of Hinata?

This thought made her soul tremble.

"No…"

Kurenai Yuhi shrieked.

The instinct for survival and the will to protect her disciple made her unleash her last strength, struggling to get up and resist.

Her hands had already begun to form seals.

However… Di Yan didn't even give her a chance.

He merely raised his eyes slightly.

In those deep eyes, a crimson base instantly appeared.

The bizarre Mangekyo pattern flashed and disappeared!

"Genjutsu: Kanashibari!"

Kurenai Yuhi felt an invisible, irresistible, terrifying mental force like cold shackles.

Instantly wrapped around her limbs and body.

The trace of Chakra and resistance she had just gathered.

Under the gaze of those forbidden eyes, it melted away like ice and snow under the sun.

Her body instantly became stiff as stone, unable to move even a single finger.

She could only widen her red eyes, filled with fear and despair.

Watching Di Yan approach step by step.

"Teacher Kurenai!"

Hinata, who was nearby, saw Kurenai Yuhi instantly frozen, stiff as a puppet.
