Chapter 44 - Chapter 44 – Your Turn, You Two

Strength: I90 → H102 │ Endurance: H101 → H111 │ Dexterity: H135 → H148 │ Agility: H133 → H153 │ Magic: E444 → S905

"Not exactly surprising."

Loki wasn't as shocked this time when she looked over Tsuna's updated Status. His magic growth was absurdly high, but given how often he used his powers, it made sense. The other four stats, meanwhile, had risen at a steady, reasonable pace.

"Your magic growth matches perfectly with the abilities you've been developing," Loki noted, tapping the parchment with a finger. "You've been digging deeper into your skills lately, huh?"

"Yeah," Tsuna replied. "Since we'll be diving deeper into the Dungeon soon, I figured I needed a few more safety measures against monster attacks. So I made some defensive equipment that can be worn directly, and a few multipurpose weapons too."

"Those are your specialties anyway—gear and weapons." Loki smirked. "Your ability lets you create functional monsters, so of course you can craft versatile defensive gear and weapons. But… you'll have to hide part of that, won't you? Planning to conceal your identity as a summoner? Or your adventurer side?"

"I think the summoner side."

That answer made Loki raise a brow.

"The summoner side? Wouldn't that expose your actual ability?"

"No. Exposing the summoner part is exactly how I'll hide my real power."

Tsuna's calm explanation piqued Loki's interest.

"If I have one of my puppets act in my place, any god will immediately notice something's off. But they'll just assume that puppet is my 'magic.'"

He folded his arms, continuing, "Aside from Miss Loki and the Familia, no one knows the truth behind my magic. It's unrealistic to expect everyone to keep the secret, but if we spread the rumor that my magic is 'Summoning,' then even when other gods see my puppets, they'll just assume it's that."

"Ooh~ smart." Loki grinned. "You're hiding your real ability while also masking your talent as an adventurer. To the outside world, you're just the guy who can summon 'puppets.' The truth of your magic stays buried, and even the curious gods will lose interest once they think they've figured you out."

It really was clever. Loki was genuinely impressed that Tsuna could come up with such a subtle plan. As a goddess herself, she knew exactly how unbearably bored the deities of the Lower World could get—always chasing after anything "novel."

If you tried too hard to keep a secret, they'd only dig harder. But once they believed they'd uncovered something mundane, their curiosity faded. A perfect smokescreen.

Instead of hiding everything, it was better to expose a harmless layer. That drew far less divine attention.

"I'll talk to Finn and the others later," Loki said, smirking slyly. "We'll do it your way. I'll have Raul spread the rumor—his tongue's the loosest, especially around the Ishtar Familia's girls."

That mischievous grin of hers was downright devious. Only gossip that leaked through "innocent" channels would sound believable.

"Uwah, Loki, you look like a total villain right now. Raul's gonna cry if he finds out."

"He should think about how many times that idiot's loose mouth got me mocked by Ishtar. Every time I see that woman she laughs her ass off! I've been merciful not punishing him harder."

"That's true," Tiona admitted, scratching her cheek. "Raul really did screw up back then."

She wanted to defend him, but it was hard when his "crime" had actually happened—spilling Familia info while drunk with the Ishtar girls. Honestly, Loki had been merciful.

"That guy's hopeless around women," Tione said flatly. "But are you sure he can handle this, Loki? What if he accidentally leaks Tsuna's real info?"

"No worries," Loki said with a smirk that made both sisters flinch. "If he messes up this time, I'll cut off half his manhood. Let's see if he's still willing to gamble away his future happiness."

Holy shit. Both Tiona and Tione's eyes went wide. They tried to stay serious—but ended up bursting into laughter.

"Pfft! Yeah, no way Raul leaks anything after that threat."

"Definitely not. As long as Loki isn't joking, he'll keep that in mind twenty-four seven. That chick magnet won't risk his love life over a loose tongue."

The sisters didn't actually dislike Raul. He was decent most of the time—just hopelessly weak to women. Worse, he was still technically a virgin, which made his screwups even more pathetic. Every time, he somehow managed to make it worse.

With how well they knew him, the Hiryute sisters figured if Loki threatened his future "happiness," Raul might even pick a fight with one of Ishtar's frogs out of sheer panic.

"Now then—let's see your growth."

Loki handed the copied Status sheet to Tsuna. He scanned it briefly; everything looked steady except, as always, for that ridiculous jump in Magic.

He'd have to start some solo Dungeon training after the expedition. The rest of his stats needed to catch up.

As he folded the sheet, he noticed two pairs of eyes staring straight at him. With a sigh, he handed it over.

"Go ahead. Take a look."

"Then I won't hold back!"

Tiona snatched the paper eagerly. But the moment she saw the numbers, her jaw dropped.

"This… your magic stat grew this fast!?"

"From four hundred straight to nine hundred," Tione muttered, eyes wide. "Even Riveria's never had growth that crazy."

The sisters exchanged stunned looks. They could hardly believe it.

"That's why Tsuna's the genius here," Loki said, grinning proudly. "You two can look, but keep it to yourselves. Oh, and—it's your turn next."
