The next morning, after breakfast, Hauen went to see Haraboji."Annoying Haraboji," she greeted him playfully.
Haraboji looked at her and smiled. "Oh, Hauena, come in," he said, calling her inside. She went in and bowed.
He smiled warmly. "Sit down. What brings my little Hauen here?" he asked softly.
Hauen sat and spoke slowly, "Haraboji, I wanted to talk to you about something important."
"What's the matter?" Haraboji asked, frowning slightly.
"Haraboji, Suho hasn't been feeling well lately. I think he's a little depressed and suffocated. You know how hard it can be when you have to depend on others for everything. And after the accident, he's emotionally collapsed. I'm trying my best to keep him strong, but he's finding it hard to open up properly," she explained gently.
Haraboji listened carefully.
Her eyes were a little teary, burning with emotion. "I love Suho so much, and I can't bear to see him depressed and lost… I'm afraid of losing him. I just want him to be happy," she said, sobbing.
Haraboji's heart softened; he could see how much these young people were going through. He asked gently, "So, what do you want to do about it, Hauen?"
She wiped her tears and said, "We want to go back to the penthouse, Haraboji. I think it will make him feel better. Maybe the memories we shared there will give him hope."
Haraboji thought for a moment. "But it would be hard for you to take care of him alone. I don't want you to go through that," he said, concerned.
She looked at him firmly. "Don't worry, Haraboji. I'll take care of him. I've already hired a caretaker to help. I want to be with my husband all the time, to help heal him and bring him back to life. Staying here, I can't do that properly, and he's starting to feel left out," she explained.
Haraboji nodded. "Okay, fine. If you've thought this through and are ready to take full responsibility, I won't stop you. Just make sure it doesn't become a burden for you or create more problems for him."
Hauen nodded. "Thank you, Haraboji. If you permit, we'll prepare to go tomorrow," she said, determined.
Haraboji smiled. "Alright… Take care of my boy."
She nodded, stood up, and bowed before leaving. Haraboji smiled to himself. She's so sweet, jagi… My Suho is very lucky to have her, he murmured, glancing at his wife's photo.
Hauen immediately ran to Suho, who was in his room. She quickly closed the door behind her and bounced over to him, full of excitement.
Suho smiled to see her approaching him while dancing in excitement. "What's gotten into you?"
She grabbed his cheeks, beaming. "Call your girl and tell her to meet you at the penthouse tomorrow!"
His eyes widened, a huge smile spreading across his face, mouth open in shock. "You really convinced Haraboji?"
"Yes, my teddy bear…" she said, squishing his fluffy cheeks affectionately.
He smiled, flustered. "Damn… you really did it."
She patted her back proudly. "I know how to play the emotional cards… and I did, and Haraboji melted," she said, laughing.
He pulled her into a hug. "Thank you, Hauena…"
She hugged him back. "Mention not, husband. Call Yerin, she'll be happy."
He pulled back, smiling. "Okay…" He grabbed his phone and dialed her number. The call rang, but she didn't pick up. His smile faded into a pout. "She's not picking up."
Hauen patted his shoulder. "Don't worry, she's probably busy… call her later," she said.
"Anyway, you're going to meet her tomorrow," she teased.
His ears turned red, and he bit his lip.
"Oh my God, our Romeo is blushing!" she laughed.
"Stop teasing me," he protested.
She squished his cheeks again. He wiggled, but she didn't stop, making him laugh. She loved seeing him laugh like that, completely forgetting all worries. She would sacrifice her own feelings just to see him happy and bubbly.
They were at the penthouse now.
"Mr. Lee, please help me take him to the bedroom," Hauen said to the new bodyguard, who was hired to assist Suho.
"Yes, ma'am," he replied and carefully carried Suho in his arms. Mr. Lee was strong and tall, so it wasn't difficult for him. Hauen followed them to the bedroom.
Bora had already cleaned the house nicely. Hauen placed the bags she had brought near the bed. Mr. Lee gently placed Suho down and said, "If you need anything, call me, ma'am," before bowing and leaving.
Hauen looked at Suho. "Yerin will be here for dinner. Wear this suit and get ready. I'll go help Bora prepare dinner," she said, placing a neatly ironed suit on the bed.
"Help me get ready," he said, looking at her.
She froze for a second. "Me?" she asked.
"Yes. Help me like you did in the hospital," he said softly. "I want to look good in front of her."
Her heart skipped a beat, but she smiled. "Okay, Mr. Romeo," she teased.
He blushed. "Don't call me that," he muttered shyly.
She laughed and ruffled his hair gently.
"Wanna go to the bathroom?" she asked.
"No," he said simply.
She smiled and began helping him get dressed. She applied a light skincare routine on him, then carefully dabbed some concealer on his fading scars to even out his skin tone. Finally, she put a tinted lip balm on his slightly dry lips.
Her eyes lingered there for a moment, those same lips that had once kissed her so passionately when he was drunk. She quickly looked away, brushing his hair gently and smiling. "All done… ready!" she said cheerfully.
As she fixed his necktie, she stepped back to admire her work. "Hmm… so pretty, so handsome, so cute and fluffy," she said in an exaggerated tone.
He blushed. "Are you serious? You're complimenting me like I'm your kid getting ready for school."
She laughed. "Well, you do look a bit like one," she teased.
Flustered, he threw a pillow at her. She caught it easily, laughing.
"Wanna come out? I'm heading to the kitchen," she said.
"Okay… take me there," he replied.
She called Mr. Lee to help Suho into the wheelchair and then guided him to the living room. After playing some soft background music to lift the mood, she went into the kitchen to join Bora.
"How are you, Bora?" she asked kindly.
"I'm good, ma'am. How are you?" Bora replied.
"Good! Look at me, sexy and healthy," Hauen said, striking a playful pose.
Bora chuckled, and even Suho couldn't help but laugh quietly from the living room as he watched them. But deep down, his heart was restless, beating faster with every passing minute. He had been waiting for this moment, for her, the person his heart had been longing for.
As the evening turned into night, his impatience grew. Hauen noticed him constantly glancing toward the door, his eyes filled with a mix of excitement and desperation.
"She'll come, Mr. Romeo. Why so impatient?" she teased lightly.
He looked at her, his voice trembling with honesty. "I'm dying to see her… to meet her… to hold her again."
For a second, Hauen just stared at him, the raw longing in his eyes twisting something deep inside her chest. That yearning wasn't for her, and she knew it. Before she could respond, the sudden sound of a car horn broke the heavy silence.
His face lit up instantly. "I think she's here," he said quickly, eyes bright with hope.
Hauen forced a small smile. "I think so," she murmured.
"Let me check," she said and walked toward the doorway. Suho followed, pushing his wheelchair eagerly to the entrance.
And there she was, Yerin. Stepping gracefully out of the car, her presence seemed to light up the night. Suho's smile widened, his heart racing uncontrollably.
Yerin looked at both of them, Hauen standing beside Suho, and offered a small, polite smile.
She walked up to them, beautiful, calm, and elegant as always.
"Yerina…" Suho whispered, his eyes already glistening with tears.
Hauen turned to look at him, her heart tightening at the sight. Yerin's gaze shifted to Suho, her expression unreadable.
"How are you, Suho?" she asked softly.
He gave a small, broken laugh, his voice trembling. "See… what your idiot has become."
Yerin's lips parted, but she said nothing. Hauen quickly stepped in, sensing the tension. "Come inside," she said gently.
Yerin nodded and followed as Hauen pushed Suho's wheelchair to the couch. Yerin sat down opposite him, her posture composed but distant.
Suho's eyes searched her face, longing for that familiar warmth. He wanted her to hold him, to say she missed him, but her body language told a different story.
"You okay, Yerina? Is everything fine?" he asked carefully, voice laced with worry.
Yerin let out a deep sigh, avoiding his gaze for a second before looking back at him.
"Suho…" she began slowly, hesitating as if gathering courage.
He leaned forward a little, anxious. "What is it, Yerin?" he asked softly.
Her eyes finally met his, steady, emotionless. "I'm going to the U.S.," she said quietly.
The room fell silent. Hauen froze beside him, her breath catching.
Suho's face went blank for a second, his mind struggling to process her words. Then his lips parted, voice breaking. "You're… leaving?"
