Chapter 71 - Chapter 71

"That works," Acting Grand Master Jean nodded slightly upon hearing this. "Let's continue gathering information for now. If he's just an ordinary Adventurer, we won't disturb him."

"Understood."

Albedo nodded.

Then, he bid farewell to Acting Grand Master Jean and left the Knights of Favonius Headquarters.

He returned to his Alchemy Workshop to continue his work on analyzing the destructive energy found on the Whopperflower's corpse.

It wasn't until evening that Albedo finally stopped.

Looking at the fragments of the Whopperflower's corpse, almost completely dissected before him, Albedo rubbed his temples in frustration.

"It's been a full day and night, and I still haven't been able to analyze it. It's completely un-decomposable."

"Nor can it be reconstructed. What exactly is this aura?"

After a day and a night, he, the Alchemist of Mondstadt, had gained absolutely no insight.

The analysis of that mysterious destructive aura was completely impossible.

He couldn't even reassemble it.

What kind of unknown energy was this?

"Klee should be back by now."

The next second, Albedo looked at the night outside. Stopping his work, Albedo decisively stood up and walked out.

The night in Mondstadt City was still bustling.

The streets were brightly lit, and the taverns were filled with lively chatter.

Adventurers either raised their glasses in conversation or quietly exchanged mission information.

A gentle night breeze, carrying the faint, moist scent of Cider Lake, made the entire city feel exceptionally serene and warm.

However, beneath this tranquility, the atmosphere at the Knights of Favonius Headquarters was starkly different.

Inside Acting Grand Master Jean's office, the lights were soft, and documents were neatly arranged.

Sitting behind the desk, Jean was currently frowning slightly, holding the latest news that had just arrived from the Adventurers' Guild.

Outside the door, steady footsteps approached.

"Enter."

Jean didn't look up, merely speaking softly.

The door slowly opened, and the golden-haired Alchemist walked into the room.

He still had traces of Alchemy materials on him, clearly having just come from the laboratory.

As soon as Albedo entered, he noticed Acting Grand Master Jean's subtle expression. His gaze fell upon the document in her hand, and he raised an eyebrow slightly.

Jean looked up slightly, glancing at Albedo.

Before Albedo could speak, she handed him the document, her tone carrying a hint of inexplicable complexity: "You've come at a good time. Just received this intelligence—Lin Mo had another massive haul today."

Albedo paused slightly, taking the document and scanning it.

"Nearly a million mora, several bags of high-quality resources."

"…"

A hint of surprise flashed in Albedo's eyes.

A million mora?

That was no small sum.

Even a powerful Adventurer would need extremely good luck to obtain such earnings in just one day.

Perhaps even entering a domain to find treasure.

Or hunting rare monsters and harvesting precious elemental plants to make it possible.

And Lin Mo—

This ordinary Adventurer without a Vision had brought back astonishing spoils for three consecutive days, including rare resources.

This was clearly not normal.

Seeing his strange expression, Jean couldn't help but chuckle softly: "Well, now you're certain he's not simple, aren't you?"

Albedo sighed softly, put down the document, and said quietly: "Originally, I just thought he might have some special abilities, but now it seems… it's probably more complex than I imagined."

Albedo turned to look out the window.

Night enveloped the entire Mondstadt City, stars twinkled in the sky, and a gentle breeze swept through the streets, bringing the unique tranquility of the night.

"However, we shouldn't be too subjective."

Albedo mused: "Perhaps he's just purely lucky and found an undiscovered resource point…"

Jean raised an eyebrow, clearly not agreeing with this statement.

"So, what do we do next?"

Albedo withdrew his gaze, his expression calm: "Find Klee."

"She followed Lin Mo out all day today, so she should know something."

Albedo slowly said: "If Lin Mo really found some hidden domain, or a special resource point, then Klee would definitely know."

"I'm not interested in resource domains; I just want to understand if these resources are related to the Abyss Order."

Jean nodded upon hearing this. "You're right. Let's go, let's find Klee."

With that, she stood up and walked out of the office with Albedo.

Under the night sky.

In a room within the Knights of Favonius Headquarters.

Orange-yellow light streamed through the window onto the stone walls, flickering slightly.

A faint scent of gunpowder permeated the air.

"Tap, tap—"

The wooden tabletop was covered with various bomb materials.

A small, red figure was intently tinkering with her bombs, her fair little face smudged with gunpowder ash, looking exceptionally excited.

Klee was immersed in her bomb-making, her eyes shining, her face filled with satisfaction and joy.

She had so much fun today!

Not only did she blow up many things, but she also collected a large pile of resources!

But the only downside was that she still had too few bombs!

"No! Tomorrow I must bring more bombs!"

"Lots and lots of Jumpy Dumpties!"

Klee muttered to herself, speeding up her production. Her small hands skillfully moved back and forth among the bomb materials, as if she was completely absorbed in her own world.

However—

"Knock, knock."

A knock on the door suddenly interrupted her thoughts.

Klee's hands paused, and she looked up, a hint of confusion on her small face.

Who could it be, so late?

The door slowly opened, and two familiar figures came into view—

The golden-haired Alchemist, and Jean, dressed in the Knights of Favonius Acting Grand Master's uniform.

"Huh? Big Brother Albedo? Acting Grand Master Jean?"

Klee blinked, looking at the two with some surprise.

Jean looked at the room full of bomb materials and couldn't help but sigh softly.

Sure enough, Klee was making bombs again.

She had clearly restricted Klee's materials, so where did Klee get so many materials to make bombs?

Albedo's eyes flickered as he casually glanced at the room's environment, then spoke in a gentle tone: "Klee, are you busy with bombs again today?"

"Mhm mhm!" Klee nodded vigorously, answering enthusiastically, "Klee had so much fun today! So I need to make more bombs so I can blow up more things tomorrow!"

Jean: "…" (This child, I really can't let her run wild.)

Albedo chuckled softly, then his gaze sharpened slightly as he asked seriously: "Klee, you two had a huge haul today. Did you find a certain domain? You've found so many resources for several days in a row."

Klee: "???"

Hearing Albedo's words, Klee paused, tilted her small head, and looked at Albedo with a face full of confusion: "A domain? No, I didn't?"

Albedo narrowed his eyes slightly and asked tentatively: "Then how did you find so many resources?"
