The next morning, I stood in a clearing, far enough from the rest of my pack so I wouldn't be disturbed.
It was a clear patch of land, without any buildings or people nearby.
I stood waiting patiently for the others to arrive. After a few minutes, the first to arrive was Selthia.
She was wearing an ocean-blue sundress that stopped just above knees. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail, and her blue handbag hung lazily from her shoulder. The bag had various sea ornaments as designs.
It looked as if she was going shopping in the city again. I haven't spoken to her since that night Cassian attacked.
She is another who has been avoiding me. Even now, she was avoiding eye contact.
"Darling, did you call me here?"
In a way, I was happy that she was the first to arrive.
"Yes, I wanted to see how much stronger you've gotten."
For some reason, Selthia's expression froze.
