Roran's body fell lifeless to the ground as I held his severed head like a trophy. My body felt weak, as if I would collapse at that very moment, but I didn't dare, for I knew that monster would kill me in an instant.
The monster I was referring to was Sylvie's father, who was staring at me with the eyes of a predator.
"You have lost it, boy. That is your uncle you just killed," he said. His eyes were sharp, but behind them, there was a hint of curiosity. "To think the mighty alpha Roran would fall to a child, his own nephew at that. If I didn't see it for myself, then I wouldn't believe it."
"I wasn't the one that killed him," I said as I barely kept from losing my balance.
Danzo raised an eyebrow. "What are you saying, boy?"
I slowly lifted up my hand and pointed at him.
"It was you. You were the one that killed him, and the Lycann pack will hear of this."
Hearing my words, a wide grin grew on Danzo's face. He understood my intentions perfectly.
