The wind tore its hood away. Its head was smooth and oval, like a bald female's skull polished to a mirror sheen. No hair. No scars. Just a glimmering reflection of the sun.
"Who… the hell are you?" One rebel shouted, raising his pistol. The creature didn't respond. It simply bowed its head, silent.
"I said talk, damn you! Or I'll—" The thing lifted its head. Slowly. Its eyes glowed bright blue, too bright to be human. Inside the building, Brian and Sergeant Walsh were still talking when—
Bang! A gunshot echoed outside.
"Shoot it! SHOOT—AARGHH! My arm! It's taking my—ahhh, Gaaah—" Splat!
"What the hell's going on out there?!" Walsh demanded an answer from his crew.
"Monster! There's a monster out there!!" screamed one of the rebels as they bolted into the building, faces pale with terror.
Dan frowned. "Monster? What in the world?" He turned to Brian, who could only shake his head.
Simon raised a hand. "Quiet. Everyone—listen."
Thud. Thud. Thud.
Heavy footsteps above them. The ceiling trembled with each one.
Then—
CRASH! The roof burst open.
A metal foot—sleek, violet-hued, hands dripping red—punched through the ceiling, crushing a soldier beneath it. "AHH~~" Blood rained down as the rest of the body dropped into view, eyes blazing a ghostly purple light that cut through the smoke.
Dan looked up—and froze. "D-Diablo," he whispered.
A lifeless rebel soldier's body was hurled through the front door, crashing into the research hall.Through the shattered entrance, a demon cloaked in black stepped inside—twin blue eyes glowing under the hood. It tore the fabric off its body, revealing silver-blue circuits and translucent pipes pulsing with liquid energy, running from its chest down its left arm.
Every step it took echoed like a hammer striking metal. There wasn't a doubt—they were hunting something inside the research building.
"Eat this, motherfucker!" Dan roared, unloading his rifle. But the bullets barely dented the thing's metallic skin. A terrified rebel bolted from the rear exit, whispering desperate prayers.
"Please, please, god!" Before he could reach the truck, a white metallic beast dropped from the rooftop, slamming into the ground in front of him. It grabbed the man by the neck, forcing his face upward. Then, with monstrous precision, it gripped his jaw open—and tried to rip the jaw straight from his head.
A guttural scream followed "Ghh—AHHHH!" GHKK!—then silence.
Thick, murky red fluid dripped from the creature's hands.
The thing was massive—built like a warrior from hell. Its eyes were covered with a sleek visor glowing faintly red, scanning its surroundings. It wasn't searching for objects. It was scanning for human beings—for rebels still breathing. Its head twisted unnaturally, sensors locking onto a distant heat signature running up the sand dune. Its mouth opened, releasing a deep digital growl.
"Eliminiert alle ve-ve-t-t-traitors."
