While Elyn had been trying to make Zorathys work, there was one other person in the castle.
Her purple hair was packed in a bun and she wore all black, making sure to blend into the shadows—or rather, making sure to blend as much as she could into the shadows.
She only had one aim here, and that was to find out who the queen was and how she looked. She would be the first person among the nobles to know who the queen was; she was very certain of it.
She hid behind one of the messenger gargoyles. He turned and was about to speak up, but she made a shh sound with her mouth and her hands.
The gargoyle's eyes widened when he saw her, and he kept quiet, choosing to go back to his task of… The gargoyle paused. What was his task again? He couldn't remember.
The woman knew, from the way the gargoyle tilted his head, that he had seemingly forgotten what errand he had been sent on.
